Acknowledging reality

The narrative must be shifting when even the CBC recognizes the sheer logistical nightmare of trying to tow all those trucks in Ottawa as a means of stopping what has now become a growing insurgency.

Police don’t think towing the trucks is an effective solution, said Matt Skof, president of the Ottawa Police Association.

“You can tow all you want — they’re just going to return to the location, so it hasn’t resolved the issue,” Skof said. “And where are you putting all these vehicles?”

Towing large trucks is “incredibly logistically difficult,” Skof said, and any trucks removed would likely be quickly replaced by new ones arriving. Even if barriers were set up to prevent their re-entry, that would just push the problem to another part of the city, Skof said.

  1. I’m sure Skof’s comments are completely not related to the fact tow trucks are refusing to tow.

      1. Looks to be another Truckers Convoy blocking another border is currently happening.

        https://thepostmillennial.com/protestors-now-blocking-traffic-at-emerson-manitoba-border-crossing

Certainly well organized and hitting the maximum logistics when goods are rerouted and then that avenue too is now blocked.
Looks like tractors helping the Truckers.

Someone with some fantastic knowledge in foresight of creating a maximum logistics problem with timing where the rerouted vehicles must go.

    1. Problem would end over night if the TOXIC Narcist Trudeau ended his Illegal Mandates and told his SHITCON fake Conservative PUKES like Kenney and Ford To End It All Now.
They are all a Disgrace To Decent Canadians Everywhere.

    1. I agree that dropping all mandates is the best solution.
The other paths that they have tried and failed are annoying the protestors (no fuel, tickets, show of force) and demonizing them.
The protestors have sufficient public support to continue. Demonization will continue but it has failed as a short term solution and the border protests require a short term solution; are Kenney, Trudeau, Ford, etc. willing to ride it out and play a long game to shift public opinion? Even if they are willing to play a long game, the outcome of a long game remains unknown. Ontario election is 4 months away. Quebec election is in 2022 too. Fed Liberals sit on a precarious minority.

Only other tool that they have is a hammer: mass arrests and violence. That tool does not always turn out well for the oppressor.

      1. The white leftists who appointed Sloly like him for the same reason they appointed him: he is officially classified as “Black”.

  2. And the Corpse continues its misinformation campaign, no matter how minor their propaganda screed may be.

Insurgency? C’mon, this is the definition of PEACEFUL PROTEST, and it’s driving them batshit crazy!

    1. If everyone didn’t have cameras everywhere, it’d be a different story and so many people have no trust in the mainstream media.
Even the CTV and CBC are taking off their logos as people are getting down right hostile towards them and their vehicles.

  3. Nightmare?

Stick a driver in each truck. Smash the ignition lock. Air up the brakes or cage them. Hook a chain or four to a plow truck. Drive them away.

A pain in the rear, but certainly no nightmare.

    1. Lol yeah it’s that simple, do you know what size bolt is in the air brakes tank for each rig? What’s the thread pitch?

    2. Spoken like a lefty, smash people’s property and use as much force as req’d.

No wonder you like sticking things in people against their will

    3. Obviously, there’s not enough horsepower in Ottawa to pull your head and Jussie’s head out of your asses.

But I’m listening to the Ottawa elected officials meeting last week and I really think Ottawa needs more vehicles.

Welcome to The Hunger Games. The Capital City takes offense it’s inconvenienced.

You’re the Capital City. These things happen.

Try dropping the mandates. The world is watching.

  4. Towing trucks IS very difficult. A dump truck broke down outside our house a few weeks ago, it required a special super-sized tow truck capable of hoisting the front into the air before it could be moved. The whole process must have taken almost 2 hours, and these big rigs parked downtown are even bigger. I wonder how many of those large sized tow trucks there even are in all of eastern Ontario?

    1. Dr. Mabuse, it is difficult if you are concerned about damage to the truck being towed. If you don’t care, it is trivial.

      1. You are assuming that the owner/operators will not defend their property.
May as well say “just use helicopters.”

        1. Never mind that the authorities better have air-tight legal grounds for doing so or they’re going to be on the receiving end of hundreds of law suits.

        2. Of course all it takes is just one more rig to block in the tow vehicle and nobody’s going nowhere.

      2. Okay Booby, how do you get product to the shelves with all the trucks out of commission? If you have more trucks, who’s gonna drive them? There has been a shortage of qualified drivers for several years now and if the Humboldt Broncos accident didn’t prove the need for highly trained and experienced drivers, I don’t know what does. Contrary to what you seem to believe, not just anybody has the skillset to drive a semi. Have you noticed how many people struggle to parallel park a suv? Yeh, they could drive a B-train…no problemo!

        1. We’ve gone from “learn to code” to learn to drive.

          Pssst. Self-driving vehicles need chips.

      3. bobby b’s been watching to much “Highway Thru Hell” on Discovery.

They tow so many overturned trucks in an hour it looks like anyone could do it.

    2. Another thing. Tow trucks cannot tow if there is an occupant in the vehicle.
      Liability laws.

  5. Geez that’s a shame, no comments for the CBC story. Comedy gold can be mined by reading the suggestions from the resident brainacs.
My favourite so far was one suggestion to spray water on the truck doors to freeze them shut thereby thwarting owners from getting in or out.
    MIT awaits you.

  6. I don’t know. Can the authorities deal with another weekend of cheery Winter Carnival PR on steroids?
How can the organizers top saunas and bouncy houses?

    1. Maybe set up a few amusement park rides in front of the HoP?
Declaring to the world that our government is indeed a circus.

    2. Too bad it isn’t set up for tour buses. I’d be there in a heartbeat with my Solidarity/ Maple Leaf Flag.

    3. Yeah there’s a pancake breakfast planned too. Sunday. A little maple syrup, a coupla flapjacks; the snow – good times.
      Randy Hillier organizing.

  7. That’s why moron mayor Tory yesterday locked downtown Toronto. That’s why NZ is so brutal with their protesters. That’s why France warned that protesters will not be even allowed to enter Paris.

And it’s absolutely awesome, I love it! 🙂
To see all the entitled elite puzzled and grasping at straws + losing at every step – this is priceless! 🙂

    1. I agree, its beautiful to see.
Just keep in mind that the winner of a war isn’t the side that wins the first battle, its the side that wins the last battle.

    2. I too love it. It’s now like watching whack-a-mole. Every time the gov’t makes a move a bunch of truckers show up someplace else.
      Thanks a million truckers.

  8. And now we demand every member of parliament donate $5000 to the truckers fund and $1000 from every one of their flunky assistants.

    1. +++
Every “demand” from the feds or the provinces should be met with a new demand from the truckers, and this policy should be broadcast in every way possible.
That might even shut the political swine up for a while.

  9. Our ‘leaders’ have shown great ability to pout!
Is there any other reason for them to maintain the covid mandates?

  10. As an extension to Arty’s idea above, I suggest that every time the MSM comes up with an article slandering the truckers, the truckers add a new demand that the author of said malicious article contribute $1000 to the truckers.

  11. Trudeau’s $2 billion a year to his media harem girls looks like a waste of money now.
Nobody sane believes a word of it.
In fact their lies are hurting him now.
Every pathetic lie that they tell for him just pisses off the taxpayers more.

  12. Towing a highway tractor is a very difficult proposition. The large majority of heavy lift tow trucks are near Toronto.

The ‘truckers’ are not stupid. They have anticipated this move and have strategically parked their units to make towing even more difficult.

  13. I demand it be ended right now! Disband the entire operation, it needs to be SHUT DOWN for the good for the country and to help the economy. It’s gone on way too long.

Ain’t going to happen though. Government dinosaurs like the CBC tend to be around forever.

  14. This just landed in my “in-box”.

“ DEEP DIVE (share): Not many people really understand what’s going on with the protest. There are many reasons people are fighting. No mask, no forced vaccines, no passports etc… basically a fight to lift all mandates. So what going on with Trudeau? Why will he not negotiate. Well the truth is he can’t. A house of cards will fall. All of the information below is available for you to research. Stop complaining about the protesters fighting for freedom thinking it’s just about a mask or a jab. This is the real reason, and nope most truckers are not aware. But it’s time to start waking up the rest of Canada. This is not about a party issue. I don’t care if you are liberal, conservative or independent. This fight is the biggest fight of our lives. The WEF has invested millions of dollars in their puppet and if he fails, they go back to square zero.

“It is not Trudeau’s choice to step down or to attempt to stay. It is the decision of the World Economic Forum (WEF.) This is a critical decision which will affect the entire world. This is not a battle for just Canada, it is a battle for the World. This is the first domino of corruption and if it falls, the entire plan of the WEF fails because all the corrupt dominos will fall if they are forced out of power. Leaving them in power really is simply a short respite for the People.

Frankly, the WEF cannot afford for Trudeau to step down. If he falls, Biden falls, Australia falls, New Zealand falls and all of Europe falls. Then the rest of the world joins in. They are all watching. Who do you thing is going to fund the counter movement from the police.

The sane world is crazy not to make Ottawa the hill they will die on and not give in. It is an opportunity unexpected. Probably an opportunity that will not come again.

The Truckers are truly the People’s Army. Where else could you quickly assemble such a strong, younger Army to possibly confront the Globalist Tyranny Army? It is an Army everyone else can join and get behind. Half the Globalist Tyranny Army will desert them and join the Truckers if they appear to succeed in Ottawa.

Truckers can win, this but it will take support from everyone. There is a window of opportunity that will not stay open forever. Time is not on our side. A plea of help went out last night calling everyone to be ready.

But no, the WEF is not going to go without a fight or without having great fear that they will be smashed by this world-wide movement. Even then the WEF members will be sorely afraid of ending up like Mussolini hanging in the Milan Square and will fight to avoid that.

I think people greatly underestimate the overall importance of Ottawa and underestimate the difficulty of overcoming Trudeau. He and the WEF simply cannot afford to lose. I fear also that the People of the world cannot afford to lose in Ottawa. It will likely be the People’s last battle if they lose Ottawa.

I do not agree that this is only about a non violent confrontation. I don’t think the WEF will fold because of a lengthy non violent protest of a few thousand truckers. They have been working on this tyranny plan for 100 years. I think they will fold only if they are clearly weaker strength than the People’s Army. Whether it is non violent or violent confrontation, for either to succeed requires great power standing behind the Truckers with obvious reserve waiting behind them. This means the WEF must act now before the People’s Army grows too large with strong reserves. I expect action by the WEF soon to squash this uprising. This is not about Trudeau, this is the WEF plan in place around the world. Everyone must be ready to heavily support the Truckers and step into the battle if they are attacked.”

    1. The battle of Helm’s Deep is not an exaggeration. I commented on here when this started that the NWO would be coaching little potato behind the scenes. The only thing stopping TPTB from crushing the convoy right now is the world is watching. The longer it goes on the more dangerous it becomes for both sides. Interesting times.

    2. The WEF and so forth are a threat, but I’ve gotta call BS on that.
England, Sweden, Denmark and some other have ended the restrictions. How does that play into this WEF master plan?
Also, India, all of Africa, Russia, most of Asia, etc, don’t seem to fit into this global master plane, either.
No, I think this is just a 1st world problem, too many Karens in the population, power-mad politicians in office, and not part of some global conspiracy.
Global conspiracies exist, but they are considerably more subtle, like subscription based “ownership” of products, no right to repair, a thing that Samsung, Apple, Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, John Deer, Chrysler, GM, Ford, and other have embraced, ie owning nothing, etc. Then there is the eat bugs bit, etc.

      1. So who controls the UN? Soros, Gates, Bezos and China are funding it all. Soros and Black-Feces have had meetings to discuss mutual interests. Without WEF we would not have the govt we have now. Who took about 350 people to get indoctrinated by the WEF on our dime? WEF has groomed Black-Feces, Macron, Merkel, Jacinda Ardern, and they put Biden in charge of the USSA.

And you don’t believe WEF is directing the whole thing?

        1. For those who pretend the WEF desire for world domination is a conspiracy theory , go visit their website and read Klaus Schwab’s books. They are not hiding their intent or what they are doing.

Here is a video of Klaus Schwab boasting that Trudeau and 50% of his cabinet are in his (WEF) pocket.
          https://wentworthreport.com/2022/01/29/wefs-klaus-schwab-boasts-of-young-global-leaders-penetration-of-western-cabinets/

Watch the above video at the link and tell me this is not happening and that coincidentally New Zealand and Australia with WEF “educated” leaders have not degenerated into police state tyranny.

One of the tenets of the WEF is to concentrate power in large organizations by destroying small and medium size businesses. Again tell me with proof this is not happening under the COVID rules , when small business is being ruined and the likes of Amazon etc. are reaping billions.

If you analyze Trudeau’s actions since being elected , he has systematically destroyed the oil industry. He has ruled by decree with no opposition because of the Liberal-NDP alliance. One particularly galling incident was directing a $42Billion pipeline sub-assembly contract to China , when the work could easily have been done in Canada and kept the money in Canada. What kind of a leader would do that and why ?

The Liberal Government Hands $42 Billion In Construction Projects to China At Expense Of Canadians
          https://www.cisc-icca.ca/the-liberal-government-hands-42-billion-in-construction-projects-to-china-at-expense-of-canadians/

        2. Reading isn’t your strong suit, I see.
I just said I don’t think the lockdowns, restriction, mask mandates, etc, are a part of the WEF’s agenda, and that the vast majority of the world are not subject to the WEFs influence. Just because we are doesn’t make it a global thing.
They’re more about corporate control, resource allocation, etc.

    3. ivbinconned … you are 100% correct. The WFF runs a school for Young Global Leaders. Trudeau was one. Jagmeet Signh was also one and you can find his 2018 smiling picture here. The PM of New Zealand is a WEF graduate as is the PM of Australia.

      https://www.younggloballeaders.org/community?class_year=2018%C2%A7or%3D&page=6

Pause and reflect on what has happened in Canada. Both Trudeau and Singh are WEF graduates. The Liberals and NDP have formed an unofficial alliance giving Trudeau an effective majority control and he is running the country as a proxy for the WEF.

  15. “You can tow all you want — they’re just going to return to the location, so it hasn’t resolved the issue,” Skof said. “And where are you putting all these vehicles?”

Wait. I thought there were “only a few dozen of them,” right? What’s the big deal here?

  16. I have been looking, but have been unable to find any documents that were filed in the court case on the “honking injunction” . The judge’s decision also does not seem to be available as yet. However, I did find the following link to an article from one group of lawyers that are representing the truckers. It provides some interesting background on some of the affidavits that were filed in the hearing on behalf of the truckers:

“A more realistic picture of what is happening in Ottawa will soon be revealed by sworn affidavits filed in a court action. Zexi Li seeks an injunction to silence the horn-honking in Ottawa.

One of the witnesses in the court action has stated under oath that truckers and their supporters “are feeding the homeless on Wellington Street and filling their backpacks with food. Truckers have taken a whole trailer full of food to the homeless shelter.
Truckers are maintaining the cleanliness of city streets, including picking up discarded masks on the ground, …”

An Ottawa resident claims that “the truckers I have interacted with have, at all times, been friendly, courteous, humble, considerate and peaceful. I have not observed any aggressive or inappropriate behaviours.” He says the truckers are diverse, including Sikhs, Blacks, Aboriginals and others. He has “observed truckers decorating the tomb of the unknown soldier with flowers and guarding it” and has “not seen any violent or threatening behaviour.” He notes that “the truckers do not honk their horns at night. My everyday life has not been disrupted by any noise related to the Freedom Convoy during the day.” He asserts: “My ability to park and to travel in downtown Ottawa, or to and from Parliament Hill has not been impeded by the presence of the truckers.”

And there is this insightful conclusion to the article:

“Bear in mind that these witnesses can be cross-examined by Zexi Li’s lawyers. These witnesses are required to answer all questions under oath. They face serious consequences if they lie. In stark contrast, Chief Sloly and Mr. Trudeau are not speaking under oath, will not be questioned by lawyers, and face no consequences for lying. Which people do you see as more credible?”

  17. These trucks aren’t moving until the drivers want them to.

I was saying earlier today that they can set up ‘processing centres’ and arrest all the protesters they want, but that isn’t going to move a single truck. Considering the fact the few well-trained people that operate the heavy haulers have flatly refused to become involved, they have NO hope of clearing these rigs in a timely fashion. I mean none.

We may just have them by their soyballs, here.

  18. Anyone that provides comment that moving these trucks out will be a simple procedure are in an alternate reality. I moved a dead 378 Peterbilt with an industrial loader into the shop day before yesterday. It took about 2hrs to move it 75 yards and maneuver it into the shop.
Large wreckers can move those trucks absolutely.

Do they have room to pull from the back, certainly not all of them. Yeah they could do it from the front but will take longer to be set up.

Trailers, you have to dolly off pulling the truck out, and what about the trailers. Wreckers are long and it would be tough to have room for corners. You need others trucks to really move trailers.

That truck with a crane out front, you need hydraulics, so now what if you don’t have it running.

Yeah all of this can happen but how long, maybe a week, and that’s if you can find the right people to do it and know how to do it.

And this is being filmed for sure while this happening, not enough money on the planet for some to go there and do this to their own.

This is a logistical swamp! Give it up and set a date for mandates to be lifted and end this for everyone.

  19. To get a towing company to tow the trucks they’ll have to pay enough to allow the owners to immediately retire in style, and that sort of money is reserved for friends of the Liberal party.
