If one spends merely a few minutes parsing the document butt wipe, one discovers the verbiage is so vague as to mean absolutely anything and absolutely nothing, all at the same time. And even before one gets to the actual list of freedoms & rights, the guarantee itself is full of holes & outs. It effectively nullifys every word following it.

  5. Confiscation of fuel/propane sounds like theft of personal property to me or perhaps armed robbery since the police carry weapons.

  7. So where will this end? Since when in Canada can a police officer confiscate any legally available purchased product? If they get away with this, what’s next, if I buy a hamburger for a trucker will the cops confiscate it as I attempt to deliver it, how about a pizza paid for by me but delivered by the pizza delivery guy, does he get arrested and the pizza confiscated? Just asking for a friend?

    On the other hand I stated last week that if the government refuses to meet and discuss a solution then we should stage a general strike. There is some discussion among the building trades along that line. Well to all the tradesmen out there you’re a pound shy and a dollar short. Every construction site in Canada is supplied by transport, the IBEW, the Carpenters unions and the Labourers Unions across Canada should have been front and center when this thing started. Get on board now and show some Solidarity. It will take a general strike to bring this government to heel. This little tin pot dictator that is hiding, who knows where, is not fit to run this country and should either step down if he can’t handle the reins or he should be removed before he totally crashes the economy.

      Never make the mistake of thinking that what you see on US cop shows applies here. The police have nigh-unlimited power and virtually no effective checks on their behaviour.

  12. I heard this morning that Singh is calling for an emergency session, to discuss the convoy and get dialog going. It occured to me that maybe he is the one to harass with calls demanding Trudeau act. Yeah I know he is a stinking commie, but surely he knows a lot of truckers affected by this. Hound the heck out of him and/or Candace Bergen, I would say.
    Also fyi, I am boycotting the Shaye Ganam Show. He is a lefty troll and a sheep. An arrogant one at that. Not a conciliatory or open minded cell in his body.

  15. Unrelated to this post (directly, at least).

    But I want to show my 8 year old what is happening in Canada and hopefully explain why the truckers are the good guys and inspire him to not always trust the government. Sounds easy enough, but his dad (my ex), is probably telling him the opposite so I know i need to counter whatever is being fed to him at their house.

    Does anyone have any good inspirational, kid friendly videos I can show my son as a starting point to explain what a beautiful and necessary protest this is?
