The rcmp is sending support. Ontario and quebek have very few rcmp as they have their own provincial police. This means that cops from the west and the east have to be pulled from active duty and sent to Ottawa.
These are mostly small communities that do not have their own detachment. These small centres pay the rcmp for their service. They get a bill every year or they don’t have service. The rcmp is in constant recruitment mode. They, by their own admission are chronically understaffed and it is a rare day that these rural detachments are all up to what they contracted to.
What this all means is that across the country communities that pay for rcmp service will not receive it. This goes on all the time. It’s part of the game played by the federal government.
Pantifa is going to have a hard time disrupting due to the fact they will be the only ones wearing face coverings.

I’m not buying Ezra’s “revelation” about the police buying up hotel rooms. First, and foremost, only Parliament can appropriate funds. And, if the police department is digging into their budget to come up with these funds, I can’t imagine it could be done quietly. And, finally, let’s say that the police are, indeed, using their own funds to purchase these rooms. That’s a pretty big gamble that the next time their budget seeks approval that the Parliament doesn’t just cut a significant portion of it off for this very reason.
I think maybe Ezra is caught up in some unsubstantiated hype on this one.
