Do tell.
Maggie Haberman, NYT- Been avoiding this but … covid is the absolute pits. Been lucky it isn’t worse, but at its worst it was like a bad flu and it’s dragged on/lingered. I’m vaxxed and boostered and still got a breakthrough case. Would welcome folks not continuing to say it’s all mild.
Be sure to check the comments and replies below her tweet for such gems as…
A colleague (double vaxxed, no booster) that’s Covid+ has begun her fourth week at home with what she describes as a strep level sore throat, along with a host of debilitating other symptoms.
and
I had a breakthrough that lasted 3 weeks, and not being able to even get up to throw up or to pee, not being able to eat anything, is not mild.

Anything that doesn’t kill you ……
Always thought that saying was one of the dumbest in existence.
Some experiences make you stronger. And some damage and weaken you for life.
Strength is not just physical.
I am completely aware of that. But if Nietzsche’s saying were true, people would get emotionally and cognitively stronger as life progressed, and that is patently not true for everyone.
As an example, is someone who’s child has died stronger for the experience? I’m skeptical.
It’s good to be skeptical obviously. Words, especially analogies and aphorisms, usually fail upon too close inspection. I think you know it means and, yes, great loss makes some of us stronger.
I think if you asked someone if the loss of their child made them stronger, they would look at you as if you were the biggest idiot in the world.
Darwin at work. Many people have weak character. Like being afraid a cold and sore throat masquerading as the Black Death!
You’re right. Everything makes you weaker and it’s the way it should be.
Comfort and strength are not the same thing.
The harder something is, the more dealing with it with grace and courage reveals real strength.
Every single one of us will have to deal with tragedy at some time in our lives. The only choice we have, is how we respond to it. I choose to not respond as a pathetic little victim.
Perhaps N. lived at a time when determined infantilism was not the norm.
KM….
I grew up knowing men who had been through both world wars. Not only were they not weakened, but they were notable for their calmness under fire. They had come to terms with risk, mortality and their own values.
How do you think people dealt with losing children back when the infant mortality rate was around 30%? Best we know, they did not fall into pathetic, weeping heaps. They had more children and thanked God for those which survived.
The British built an Empire in an era when long-distance travel and living in foreign countries had a fatality rate at least an order of magnitude higher than Covid. One of the seminal, fleet-level expeditions by the Royal Navy had a 75% casualty rate… mostly from illness. The upper classes spent generations sending their younger sons off to places like India…. knowing that those sons had a very high risk of not returning.
We are not like our ancestors.
My oldest daughter torments (and has tormented) my youngest daughter, in the typical way. I always said the younger daughter would “Grow up so strong” due to this. I mean, I did and thought it would be universal that way.
Turns out I was wrong. With this particular incredible child, who is so tender and loving, and great!!, she remains a bit of a tender soul.
That said, back on topic, if you don’t need to go to the hospital, I will consider your ‘problem’ mild.
Problem is you can still get it/infect others, even if you had 3x (booster shot included). Btw, apparently Bob Saget had his booster shot in early December 2021. I know, just a coincidence, nothing to see here folks…
Yeah an the medical examiner said it would take 10-12 weeks to determine the cause of death.
Betty White on the other hand died of a stroke.
…I had a breakthrough that lasted 3 weeks, and not being able to even get up to throw up or to pee, not being able to eat anything, is not mild…
I had that reaction a while back after I read one of her articles…
LOL
I’m triple vaxxed (61& fit) was taking 6000 IU Vitamin D3 and zinc daily for the past year as insurance and STILL got friggen covid over the holiday. Thankfully very mild, so I barely noticed it. Clearly the vaccines did not “work”. I have no idea if VitD3 /Zn helped with severity or not, or whether the vaxes made it “milder”. Just glad I’m now in the “recovered” crowd and hopefully freed of more vax pass madness.
Unvaxxed (61 and fit). Caught covid in the first wave (March 2020). 2 days of fever and aches, then sitting around for ten more days waiting to clear quarantine. Haven’t been even a little sick since. Didn’t save me from getting fired for refusing a vaccine I don’t need.
You will never be free, if you haven’t figured that out by now, there isn’t much hope for you.
When this unvaxxed lady got Covid she got a scratchy throat and a case of the “ahems” that put people on edge in public settings now. I was well and robust enough to do all the shopping and prepping to feed 45 people over three days worth of Christmas events.
Until I did the idiot move of testing a third time and coming up positive. All the food moved to the freezer, people got agitated and reactionary. That was by far, the worst part of my Covid experience.
My vaccinated kids got it much worse. The unvaccinated kids didn’t get it or were symptom free. We are our own little Covid test lab here. Pretty sure I caught it from vaccinated hubby who had a period of fatigue and achiness, but not enough to stop him from everyday activities.
I do think I’m an over-sharer about this on here. But we are a neat group of 7 with a mixture of vax vs. unvax which lends itself to being a little micro study.
The entire thread sounded like a bunch of sheep bleating for more lockdowns. Lockdowns to stay in effect, that is, until no one dies for any reason.
My thought exactly.
The media will continue fear mongering. And as noted, anecdotal comments do not line up with the data.
We are thanking God that our family circle of 7 adults, some jabbed by force, some not, have not had the Big C, but the jabbed have had terrible “colds”.
Friends experience: jabbed having similar symptoms of Big C to his not jabbed friends.
Jabbed friends getting bad cases of “cold”, also jabbed friends getting bad cases of Big C.
Only thing I see consistently is no consistency to symptoms and experience.
Was there ever a rubber stamped identical experience to any cold or flu?
What is conspicuous in its absence these days are reports of death from any variant.
Vaccine FREE. Had Delta in September. No big deal, very slight cough, no sinus issues. But I did sleep for 14 hours one day, and 12 the next. Maybe felt 60-80% for 4 days. Had Omicold on Christmas Eve. Lasted exactly 36 hours. No big deal. Uncomfortable sleep first night, 20 minute fever second night. Slept like a rock and woke up the next morning right as rain! Got raging drunk that night (had a Covid + / Covid exposed Christmas dinner with others in our neighborhood. A Friendsmas!). I am 56, and quite healthy.
SUCK IT VACCINE NAZI’S, VACCINE SHEEP – AND MAKE SURE TO GET YOUR BOOSTER!!!!!!!! EVERY…. SINGLE…. TIME…. IT….. BECOMES….. AVAILABLE………
A kinder gentler death..
How could you disprove, such a claim.
The lesser symptoms and reduced suffering meme is unprovable propaganda.
Cult logic.
Still mulling over Steve McIntyre’s suggestion, the 3rd jab gives negative protection..
Wonder what the 4th jab will bring?
And when the fifth comes out, will our fearless helpers then decree that only those with 5 festering stab marks upon their arms will be deemed “Vaccinated”..
Will the jab marks form a perfect pentagon?
The “mark of their beast” formed one stab at a time?
We seem to be seeing the proof ,the Jab doth make you more stupid, the real “long covid” effect?
Hmm.
I’ve been wondering.
So if everything goes to shit and it goes Mad Max or Cannibal Max , will Long Pig infected with the ” not-vaccines ” be off the menu ?
Sorta like mad cow disease infested prions but infested with Spikes.
Could a good roasting kill it all ?
Asking for a hungry friend.
“Those with the 5 festering stab marks will be deemed”…dead, I’d say.
These “breakthroughs”? If I had a pot with this many breakthroughs, I’d be calling it a sieve, a few breakthroughs after that and it’s getting sent to the dump.
Nietzsche suffered from numerous ailments all his life, suffered a mental collapse at 45 and was bedridden for the next ten years and died before his 56th birthday. “What does not kill me makes me stronger” being his most famous quote is very ironic.
Regarding Covid, why does everyone think that being jabbed and boostered makes the infection milder? Are they just parroting the drug companies press releases so they don’t have to admit to themselves that the jabs did nothing? I had the original variant in the last week of February 2020, it was four miserable days but I’ve suffered worse in my 55 years before that.
Parrots, sheep, lemmings, absolutely.
There is just obedience to the official narrative amongst the flock of sheeple.
How much of that journalist’s suffering was due to Covid, and how much due to the vaccine?
Most of it is due to her being an infantile leftist, crushed that mommy government couldn’t fix her boo-boo. No doubt she is certain that evil right wingers are the only thing that prevented governmental utopia. Maybe the sorest part was the rash from sleeping in her own piss? That is how my eyes feel whenever they see her verbal piss on a page.
Exactly.
After watching the annual flu vaccine results, I am convinced that ALL the jabs are causing a compromised immune system.
It’s doing more than that.
The spikes attack the circulatory system, mainly the linings of the blood vessels.
That applies to ALL vessels that go throughout the body.
It causes the endocrinol linings to slough off, thus contributing to clots , blood leaks, heart damage, organ damage, brain aneurysms, aorta ruptures, you name it.
And depending on what lot version you get , also turbo charged cancer, graphene hydroxide molecules building little sand castles in your blood, toxic anaphylaxic shock from the lipid carrier which is ethylene glycol.
I am sure there is some information I am leaving out.
If your lucky in the Clot lottery you get the saline version.
Oh yeah, it destroys your immune system.
Sorta like AIDS/HIV.
If you are vaxed and got covid and believe it was mild or less dead because of you vaccine status do you also believe carbon taxes work because there were no tornadoes is Saskatchewan in December?
Excellent question! I might have to borrow that one…
follow up question, if you got covid, after the vax, did you get covid because of the vax, given that the initial useful data from the diamond princess showed that not everyone exposed got it….
but no one wants to talk about that.
Ernie, why do you have that banana in your ear?
Update on my own family who came down with covid last week. Double vaxxed son got covid and symptoms were very mild. Back to work tomorrow. Double vaxxed daughter-in-law got covid and is still feeling very sick (btw, she had a bad reaction to her second jab). Eleven year old single vaxxed granddaughter felt crummy for two days and will be back in school tomorrow (We live in BC). Unvaxxed 8 year old granddaughter is perfectly fine. Meanwhile, old unvaxxed granddad, who delivers food parcels to the family every day, remains unaffected.
You’re a good man. May God continue to bless you, and them.
Ours is the household shut down by covid/flu this week, and vaxxed inlaws dropping off groceries.
Thank you for your kind words C_Miner. It was not my intent to show good deeds but, rather, to show that an unvaxxed very senior (82) can walk into the covid den with relative impunity. Since we are, generally, speaking about the wider subject of covid I would like to recommend this response by an RCMP officer to his suspension for being unvaxxed. It is long but quite intelligently written. My apologies if this has been already covered.

I know that wasn’t your intent. That’s why I commented on it. Regardless of what they might think / have thought about your views on vaccination and distancing, the family is still the best support system that can be had. You’re (properly) ignoring the societal pressure divide into Vaxxinated and Purebloods and pit against each other. And the kids/grandkids aren’t members of the Hilter Youth or Young Pioneers. Which should be seen as another feather in your cap.
Family support can also include church families when one is working a long way away from where they were raised.
For all you unvaxxed…this is the guy who wants mandatory vaccines shoved down our throat and why? Because it’s because of us that he can’t have nice things. Double cheeseburgers by the looks of it.
Cam Holstrom…never heard of him but he’s a former NDP consultant or some such idiocy.
That there is some weapons grade chutzpah, folks, and it’s what we’re up against. He’s getting ratioed…good.

Unvaxxed here. Caught it in November, over a holiday. 5 days sick, worst days were 2-3, mostly congestion and fever. By day 6 it was over. I’ve had flu in years past that was much worse. This was a minor annoyance. We followed FLCCC protocols beginning the second I felt a scratchy throat. My wonderful bride had the foresight to stock up a year ago on more Vitamin I than the two of us will be able to use in a lifetime. We’ve been taking it prophelactically once a week since last April. I think the combination of eating right, sugar and carb avoidance, losing weight, Vitamin I and the recommended supplements really helped.
Now…all the vaxxed and boosted sheep I share a workspace with have been sick as hell, with work absences averaging 10 days or more.
Oh, smell and taste are still whacked. Both senses are only about 30-40 percent of normal. Kinda cool, now I can eat all those spicy jalapeno dishes and they taste good!
Well done Mrs FT.
A question if I may, you state-We followed FLCCC protocols . Would that be the updated requirements, 5 consecutive days herein
https://covid19criticalcare.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/FLCCC-Alliance-I-MASKplus-Protocol-ENGLISH.pdf
or did you use the “old recommendation” which was significantly less Ivermectin.
We followed the old recommendations at the time. I believe they updated their protocols right after we had it.
“Breakthrough” infection. Hahaha.
“Breakthrough infection” is a BS term, it means vaccine failure. Condom failures aren’t called Breakthrough pregnancies.
give it a couple weeks…
A stitch in time saves nine. Anyone want to pick at that nit? LOL
When these people say they had Covid. What variant did they catch? That little tidbit always seems to be left out of the conversation.

Thanks for that link.
Anyone here want to lay bets:
1. Will it get to MSM?
2. Will NYT claim they discovered the info?
3. Naomi, or Brannon will be raided by FBI? (just like they did to James)
Call me skeptical – why would I believe anything written by a NYT journalist? I only thing I believe is she has been jabbed and boosted. Nonetheless, it may be a form of twisted virtue/coolness signaling to the NYT readership. That or reassurance. Look at me, I’m fully vaxxed and had omicron. And of course, it’s been a major hardship.
Whining about literal flu symptoms.
I got out of the hospital 3 or 4 weeks ago (three nights only) with covid pneumonia. It sure wasn’t fun, but a few weeks later and I have very few side effects left. But if I want to whine about I could come up with a litany of things to blame on it.
Does she know if she had Omicron?
Delta is still around, perhaps she had Delta, not Omicron?
Maybe she started the Delmicron?
Either way, all her jabs didn’t seem to help her,,, next she’ll be dead from a stroke, and they’ll say,,, “women get more strokes than men, nothing to do with the vaccine!”
So it’s okay to call something mild when it is myocarditis, will damage your heart permanently, and probabaly reduce your lifespan, but if you have a hard time getting out of bed and fully recover…we can’t call that mild?
This isn’t a common vaccine side effects thread.
Less severe?
