  9. The rare times nowadays that I waste my energy debating global warming with any cultist, I basically just cut to pointing out who it is religiously pushing The Narrative.

    They are the exact same ideologues who unapologetically lied to your face and continue to this day to push the now debunked Russiagate, Smollett, COVID crisis, Covington Kids, no inflation, etc. hoaxes. If they can’t concede any of those, I just walk away, as they have outed themselves as being clearly hopeless.

    One other point I like to try and fit in before I walk away is… “What kind of legitimate science forbids questions? Science IS questions!” That one even shut up the lady who tried to dismiss me outright by stating that she was “a scientist”.

Next question must be are you a believer in creationism, or intelligent design? Darwinism and evolution will be the response 99.9% of the time, because of “science”.   10. Good on them. I may be a 100% chalk white Saskatchewan caucasian without Any first nation ancestory, but I have no problem with First Nation’s people or anyone else using whatever methods they see fit to avoid paying taxes.

    I and every other caucasian I know use every known method and loophole available to pay less tax.

    First Nation’s people are NOT the enemy for having more rights than us. The various levels ofvgovernment are the enemy for Making caucasians second class citizens.

  13. Only people who work in the private sector who pay more in tax than what they collect should be allowed to vote. Problems solved. He who pays the piper calls the tune.

    1. Natives find loophole in paying tax for service because they have treaty rights that say they don’t have to contribute to society.

    2. Some native with an IQ on the far right end of the normal distribution curve of native IQs (mean approx. = 80) came up with a loophole scheme to avoid paying sales tax.

  15. Just amend the Indian Act if this becomes a problem. It is simply an act of Parliament. When Indians were relieved of taxation, the only tax that affected them was property tax. A great solution is not to relieve Indians of taxation but permit the reserve to claim taxes paid by reserve members. The chiefs of shithole reserves could then steal much more money every year.

    1. Some reserves have signed onto the First Nations Sales Tax (“FNST”). They get to keep all GST collected on the reserve. That means that all reserve residents also pay the FNST.
      Those in HST jurisdictions agree to collect the HST and give the provincial component over to the Feds to redistribute to the province(s) in question. Most reserves signing on are in Ontario and Quebec. A couple in BC as well. None in the prairies have signed up.

      1. Mike – probably because none of the Prairie provinces have HST. Alberta has no provincial sales tax; Saskatchewan charges 6% and Manitoba charges 7%. These are not separate from GST.

        1. You mean separate from. PST applies to retail supplies. GST to all supplies with everyone along the supply chain able to claim their GST paid against GST collected.
          Anyway, signing on meant Indians on the reserve would have to pay the FNST. Not a good sell for the Chief’s re-election. So only those planning to bail afterwards would sign up for it.

  16. Interesting article on the tax dodge.
    I suspect he hasn’t thought through all the implications of his scheme.
    Not a lawyer here but…

    1) He is charging people to become employees, which is illegal.
    2) By getting the delivery slips, and documenting the pickup and delivery times, these “employees” can establish hours of work that they must be paid for, wonder how many deliveries the first one to figure that out will make before cashing in.
    3) I doubt he has considered just how much of a liability each employee is, especially when you are not witholding proper source deductions from payroll. What if an employee is injured on the job? What about EI claims when they lose their job?
    4) Will his company actively discriminate in hiring against other non-native minorities? Are natives allowed to be islamophobic in their hiring? I haven’t checked lately. Does it depend if they are on or off the reserve?

    Bureaucrats are probably too gutless to go after a scheme like this run by a native, but they would make an example of anyone else attempting this.

    I wonder if anyone on the reserve is selling used still in box “whatever was just delivered” items to order. Asking for a friend.
