Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

With regards to “wokeness” and “woke words”, I went through that some 30 years ago at Armpit College.
I was urged to remove any image or item from my office that could be construed as being “intimidating” to the students, such as calendars of military aircraft.
Then, I was urged to watch my language and, no, it didn’t refer to using rude or vulgar expressions. My last department head sat in on one of my lectures, something which was part of his duties. He noticed that I wrote an equation on the board and that I said that it was a “ghastly” looking expression. I called it that because it had all sorts of variables and exponents in it, so one had to be very careful not just in writing it but actually calculating results with it.
Sure enough, he took issue with that. Apparently, I shouldn’t have said that as it gave the equation a negative connotation and, so, the students wouldn’t want to learn it.
And people wondered why I thought that AC was an insane asylum……
For the most part, these people are all friendless. How could anyone possibly trust one of these dickheads?
The Welsh bureaucrats could have saved time — if not ink — and just said, Avoid the use of cyfrwngddarostyngedigaethau
Ridgid Tool calendars rule!
Hmmm… Having sat through my share of Word Salad corporate bollocks during the (private sector) Day Job I can half see what they are trying to do here.
Call a spade a spade, not an opportunity to manipulate shaped steel in a soil relocation project.
(actually if the Fauci Flu has done anything it has moved what would otherwise be painful face to face meetings into an online environment we can ‘enjoy’ at our desks. And by ‘enjoy’ I mean surf the net on the second monitor. Massive improvements to company morale!)
