New Brunswick To Become An Indian Reserve

Justin’s Toronto Star is excited that Indians are reclaiming two thirds of New Brunswick. Does this mean the rest of Turtle Island doesn’t have to support the province anymore?

And although the Liberal/NDP coalition believes that conversion therapy is the most important issue facing Canadians, there are some serious questions about the new bill. And did Dear Leader overrule his justice minister in regards to the legislation?

  1. Ha Ha …. who could have seen this coming?
Years ago I joked that the Indians learned their negotiating tactics from episodes of the Sopranos 😉

    1. They don’t want their Lands back, so much as they want “the profits” made by every white eye corporation from their “occupied” land. Yeah … it’s all about the Loonies. And those LOONEY-enough to give it to them. Yeah, yeah, “Equity” and whatnot.

You know, I’m old enough to remember when a “Band” of Indians seized Alcatraz Island in 1969
      https://www.nps.gov/goga/learn/historyculture/alcatraz-occupation.htm
So why not expand the occupation to include the entirety of Silicon Valley? Why not demand that the residents of Atherton turn over all their $25 M Estates to some undereducated … *ahem* … Indian. Oh! and the entire PROFITS of Google, Facquebook, and Apple should be turned over to … some … Indigenous peoples too. Right?

Well, since my grandson is LEGALLY a First Nations child … I am all in favor of him getting his “equity” share from those evil capitalist white men … Right? Gimme-Gimme-Gucci Tribal Elders Demand it!

      1. And I’m also old-enough to remember when Sacheen LittleFeather REFUSED Marlon Brando’s Oscar for The Godfather in 1973 …
        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacheen_Littlefeather
It all starts with this political theatre … then gets morphed into FULL insanity at our college campuses … then “accepted” by all the “highly-educated” white kids who shrug and vote their compassionate “feelings” about The Red Man.

But this same sequence of IDIOCY is already being played out in multiple Nordstrom Stores. The CA voters “compassionate feeeeeeelllings” about poor folks caused them to effectively VOTE to allow, nay MANDATE shoplifting. Shoplifting of Gucci-Gucci-Gimme $10k handbags.

Keep voting your “feelings” all you white MOrons … you DESERVE to be shot at a mass shoplifting … or even tied up and raped during your home-invasion burglary. Eh, suburban moms?

  2. Progs want to destroy single family housing. They will jack retail prices thru the roof so that middle class people can’t build or maintain their homes. The high prices will be part of restitution.

  3. When Confederation happened in 1867, the Maritime provinces had some viability, but already their glory days were in the early 1800’s. Now, 154 years later, I think that the terms of Confederation should be re examined. The Maritime provinces should be almalgamated (sp) into one province with a corresponding reduction in government employees. The provinces west of Ontario (my sister thinks that NW Ontario should be included) should separate ( what has Canada done for them?) and the lower mainland of British Columbia can join Washington State.
I know this will not happen (at least NOT in my lifetime) but the governance of Canada is all Ontario and Quebec and is a thugocracy!

    1. The governance of Canada is actually that strip of land running along the MacDonald-Cartier highway from the GTA to Montreal.
Sort of how Rome turned into a city state empire.

  4. “as they put J.D. Irving and other big companies on notice”. Good luck. The Irvings aren’t a democracy. The Feds taxed their oil company based on their offshore profits in the early 70s. Irving took Revenue Canada to the Supreme Court and in 1988 the Feds were ordered to pay them $260M in tax and interest. https://archive.macleans.ca/article/1987/8/3/irvings-taxing-battle . Their lumber company owns land half the size of Vancouver island. That buys a lot of lawyers…

  5. The Family Compact is alive and well in Canada. Its started with the four original provinces: Upper Canada (On), Lower Canada (Quebec), New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Vibrant of the early 1800s until its demise by the Durham Report of 1839, these provinces were controlled by an elite. The four provinces then became a Canadian coalition of vested interests in 1840. I would say that that Family Compact still exists in Canada. The government, press, education, culture, judiciary in central and eastern Canada are all controlled by left leaning elites. It will never change until the west wakes up to this and separates to become a nation within a nation, or an independent entity.

  6. This seems to put the indigenous into conflict with big business, as implied from the title of the article. This is bad news for an area with such a strong record of supporting progressive policy. I hope the big companies have a plan on transitioning; they too deserve our thanks for supporting progressives and progressive policy.

  7. The Authoritarianism of the Libranos seems to grow quicker than SARS2 variants.
I don’t believe anything is going to stop them.

  8. Multi million dollar settlement for penance…wait a generation or two…rinse and repeat.
    It’s the Canadian way.
New Brunswick is a Province? How quaint.

        1. Precisely. Won’t be long before they’re scalping each other over the spoils. Using tools culturally appropriated from Whitey. Rinse, repeat.

  9. Every progressive that spouts the acknowledgements of whichever “First Nations” traditional territory today’s event is on feeds this SCOC inspired enticement. Every “consultation” on modern industrial resource development or ongoing business feeds this SCOC-inspired enticement. Every parasite-lawyer that plays in this legal mush of infinite “negotiations” feeds the game. It all boils down to this: Is the Crown (sovereign basis for the Government of Canada and its subsidiary levels of government) the legitimate authority over the nation and its lands, including its grants and deeds, or not. If not, 94% of the population less than 1/16 racial purity are now on Indian’s land and under their laws or lack thereof with all that implies.

    1. I read it. The NDP were determined to lose the appeal of Chief Justice McEachern’s decision (at any cost) and it’s been a downhill slide ever since. The NDP wanted to be the supreme social workers with Indians as their favourite clients. They jumped into treaty negotiations to the grins of the feds whose roles they gladly shared with the province who held all the land (that the feds would otherwise have to negotiate for with the province). The NDP were in Stockholm Syndrome from the get go and the Indians knew it. The only thing keeping the NDP from handing over title of BC to the Indians is that as a subordinate level of government, they likely lack the authority to renounce sovereignty and also because they would become unemployed serfs on Indian land but short of that kind of finality, negotiations will go on forever. No government wants to eliminate apartheid. They all just want to strengthen it and tease the Indians with it, making them think that someday it will all be theirs.

      1. I am enjoying the spectacle of first “nations” begging the BC guvmint for assistance during the present flooding. The word nation no longer has any meaning either for canaduh or the first grifters.

  10. Looks like they have very accommodating employers – all the time off they get to attend rallies like this!

  11. The Maritimes has always been a corrupt family elite.
The idea of a forced union of the provinces scares the hell out of the welfare state there as over 70 % of the GDP there is government services.
Seriously, give North of NB to Quebec, make Fredericktown and PEI counties of Nova Scotia, and the give natives the rest. and say “Fill you Boots”.
The place will be a Mecca of commerce,

    1. No f’ing way. Forget Quebec. I live in northern NB, English only speaker and I am shaking my head that there is a chance that this claim actually is taken seriously. This is a shakedown, the featherheads will try and settle only for rental income which they will calculate to be at least a 100 million a year. That will enable then to get heaters for their wigwams and sit around all day drinking.
