The Bitter Truth: There’s Still No Rhyme or Reason to COVID-19

Two presidents. Fifty states. One-hundred-and-ninety-five countries. A multitude of different approaches. And still, there’s no rhyme or reason to this pandemic.

Try as you might, you will not find a plausible way of blaming this on that party or region or policy that you hate.

No, you won’t. And there’s plenty of blame to go around.

Israel, which has done everything that the loudest critics on the Left wanted America to do, is nevertheless stuck in the throes of a devastating surge. Israel has instituted repeated and draconian lockdowns (enforced by drone, no less); it has used nationwide mask mandates; it has vaccinated everyone early — and even added booster shots into the mix; and it has even instituted a system of vaccine passports. And, right now? Well, it’s getting crushed. Per NPR, despite becoming “the first country on Earth to fully vaccinate a majority of its citizens against COVID-19,” it now “has one of the world’s highest daily infection rates. . . . Nearly one in every 150 people in Israel today has the virus.” I wonder: Is Israel a Red State or a Blue State?

There’s a few things to quibble about in this piece including some of the things he seems sure about, but the authors basic point is correct. There’s a lot we don’t know. One of the reasons my posts on covid seem schizophrenic is that I’m trying to follow the evidence and the evidence is all over the place. There’s also still a lot of fog to try and sort through, at least half or more of which comes from vested interests pushing personal agendas. As they say, welcome to complex systems.

        As any sentient being who has ever been involved in electronics can tell you, AMPLIFICATION does more than just make the signal “bigger”

        It also makes the NOISE (unwanted signal) BIGGER in the same proportions. Furthermore the very process of amplification WILL introduce more noise generated within the active circuit components AND distortion generated by the function of all of the components and the limits of the circuit design and specifications. Even the layout of the circuit boards is critical in high-gain and RF devices. Anyone who has ever built a serious audio power amplifier that was unstable, despite all the calculations and careful component selection can attest to that.

        So, who “certifies” the goodies in the PCR toy-shop?

        This “amplification” of errors and aberrations is also a FEATURE in the optics world and others..

    That like any virus it mutates into more transmissible but less infectious variants.

    We also know the vast majority of so-called experts don’t know that they know nothing about covid, and couldn’t be bothered to find out, while pretending genius.

    Which means we should know they’re incompetent, like Australians finally realized.

    We also know they don’t care about the true cost of their partisan power pronouncements.

    Which makes many of them feel important, happier and wealthier while far removed from their totalitarian induced shared misery.

    1. We DO know it’s origins (look up David Martin’s interview with Reiner Fuellmich). And we know why the illness rate is highest where the injection rate is highest. The injections are dangerous and cause all the Covid symptoms.

    Usually the most logical has the odds in its favour.
    The virus, it’s origins of a most dubious nature, came from Wuhan.
    It apparently defies all established norms for treatment and mutates at a rate that does not allow vaccine treatment to reduce infection rates before the next variant spike occurs.
    The death rate is low, and survival rates are in the high 90 percent.
    The trouble with this virus is that patients hospitalized take up ICU resources for days not hours, and the current hospice model is not designed for any stay beyond triage.
    The virus seems to work exponentially in a cycle, with each cycle the authorities panic becoming more intense.
    The easily frightened are agreeable to something termed a vaccine passport without consideration for what happens when you allow the state to make permanent rules for temporary measures.

    1. Joseph, you haven’t quite grasped it all. It is not a new virus and its origins, like everything abpout this virus, has become political. Also, treatment of any illness, and many cases are not ill, is forbidden; go home and wait until you get ill enpough for hosptrial (and then death) is what is allowed. There are plenty of treatments, and even fewer than the already small percentage of genuinely infected cases would die. But such treatments are forbidden as only the vaccine is allowed. All must have the vaccine, two three any number of times; there’s money to be made. Remember, if there were treatments, the experimental vaccines would not be allowed.

    It’s pretty clear that the virus isn’t going away, because the “vaccines” are driving variant emergence, and that foolishly doubling down on inoculations will only further exacerbate the problem.

    The only thing we don’t know is how many of those in charge are willfully maliciously screwing up, and how many are just useful idiots along for the ride.

Geez, according to our esteemed and former ambassador to Israel the honorable Beverly Bercovici who as I’ve come to understand is an “awesome writer” and really super smart – Israel has done everything right. Severe lockdowns…green cards…masks, shoving swabs into the brains of 3 year olds and almost total vaccination.
    But after cases started spiking they consulted Pfizer and were told vaccinations lose efficacy after three months so it’s time to roll out the booster.

    If you followed the evidence as it was known in July 2019 I think it might become a lot clearer. Part of that evidence is that everything that is happening was predictable, because it was predicted. There is nothing new under this sun.

  18. The entire problem with this virus is that in 2019 the WHO changed all the standard epidemiological protocols recommended for handling a relatively mild respiratory virus. Instead, they adopted the Chinese recommendations of mass lockdowns and then mass vaccination. They created unwarranted fear and terror. Their mass vaccination program spawned a multitude of nasty variants. Much of what they do now is because the panicked traumatized public is demanding stupid measures like masking and passport which DO NO GOOD!   21. There are a number of things that seem bleeding obvious to me:

    The vaccine does not work as it doesn’t prevent spread of the virus.
    Israel must be nearing herd immunity; why resist it.
    The virus is not that deadly; the hysteria should end.
    Masks and lockdowns do not work.

    1. Yes. Leaving a virus to run its course which leads eventually to herd immunity makes sense to me. I think a lot of the confusion relates to the nonsense of believing that humans are capable of stopping a virus. It’s wishful thinking. A vaccine might mitigate death counts, but the virus will make its way through the population, regardless, with most people not dying. I think the death toll is still less than 1%, but we have allowed panic to drive policies.

        Where are the studies that prove it’s the vaccines working to prevent bad outcomes, and not simply that there are fewer bad outcomes in this wave?

          In people at low risk (such as children), the genetic manipulation therapy is more pathogenic than the disease.

          The common course of a viral pandemic is for the virus to mutate to become more transmissible, but the disease symptoms to become less severe, because this is what promotes survival of the virus. The dead cannot serve as hosts and vectors. Even those who are merely visibly severly ill are poor vectors, as they are avoided by potential new hosts. The politicians and media are trying to drum up more panic over the increased transmissibility of the new variants, but this, in normal times, would be considered evidence that the virus is becoming an endemic cause of cold like symptoms, i.e. good news.

      Important note. She mentioned inoculation into the blood stream. I don’t know how the others she mentioned are injected, but the Covid is supposed to go into the muscle. If it mistakenly gets into the blood, it will then go to the heart, liver, spleen, ovaries, bone marrow, etc., etc. That is a worst case scenario, but can easily occur, and the results in animals includes many pathologies, among them death.

      It could just have been a slip of the tongue, and certainly does not detract from her message. I just thought it’s important to know. Better a slip of the tongue than a slip of the needle – so very easy to do when giving shots for hours at a time.

    There was once a day when the gov’t would try to prevent panic, instead of fomenting it. Not one single western institution is fit for purpose. Govern yourself accordingly.

  27. The way the CDC presents data it’s almost like they are trying to avoid any actual facts from leaking out.

    Before I retired, my job was to design systems to analyze complex and voluminous data such as this and make sense out of it for people who needed to make decisions based on it. The data should be displayed by MSA or metropolitan statistical area. These are clusters of counties where people share a common economic life, within which people work and commute to work, route salesmen travel between stores, etc, which are more politically homogenous than a state, for example.

    State level data is too broad and contains way too much overlap between dissimilar regions. The pandemic in Miami was very different than the pandemic in Tallahassee, for example, and NYC is nothing like Corning, NY. You are never going to make sense of what is going on on a state level, it’s stupid to try and no wonder the writer threw up his hands.

    My programming skills are likely too rusty though and my favorite scripting language (TAWK) has been discontinued.
