Renegade Regulator

The Canadian Standards Association (“CSA / Civil Service”) arranged quite a barrage for us this summer. It’s been full, folks.

In the last two weeks, the Civil Service sent threat letters to some of our vendors, including our web providers. The letters claimed that PS Knight Americas had been found guilty of copyright violation and that we had been enjoined by Court from operating the psknight.com website.

Regular readers know these claims to be false. In fact, with regard to CSA’s latest attempted injunction, the Hearing hasn’t been heard yet -it hasn’t even been scheduled yet! But hosting companies don’t know that and CSA didn’t disclose it.

RestoreCSA.com is now Deep6project.com

  1. Politics by politicians destroys everything as they have no clue what real life is as they keep following a narrative of the day and look how bad it’s taken us today.

The politicians took over from the military and look how much a disaster our foreign policies are today.

  2. I alternate between desperately wanting to see P.S. Knight absolutely destroy the CSA and the associated civil service, especially the corrupt judges, and shaking my head at his naivete in thinking that he can demolish the master’s house with the master’s tools.

I once ended up in a legal tangle over an incredibly minor criminal matter, and my defense rested on deliberate malfeasance by the police and a judge. Once the Crown realized that, the Crown, police and the judicial system collaborated in a criminal conspiracy that involved orders of magnitude more felonies than the misdemeanour I was charged with, all to avoid having their original misdeed exposed.

The only satisfaction I got from the whole process was the judge who dismissed the case admonishing the Crown prosecutor in open court for intentionally reading false information into the court record in an attempt to influence the judge’s decision. That was it. Not that she was censured or was disciplined or heaven forbid disbarred.

The justice system is thoroughly corrupt; the police are not your friends and the judges are on the side of the Crown. P.S. Knight is not going to get justice, no matter what sunlight he’s packing.

    1. Sadly, I think you are correct. When you see the lengths they’ve gone to so far to *commit* the malfeasance, what makes you think there are some sort of limits on how far they will go to cover up the malfeasance?

    2. I agree that this Canadian system is thoroughly corrupt. So how many international trade deals and associations are we dealing with where the other countries have anti-corruption laws? That’s where I’m hoping this is going. If the CSA is publicly and internationally accused of corruption and removed as an international arbiter of standards (because of that corruption) then it’s just desserts and a huge pie in the face of the government(s) that let it fester.
