Explosions At Kabul

Bumped for Update: New explosions reported in Kabul in the past few minutes.

Just felt the shockwave of very large explosion in Kabul. The whole house shook. #Afghanistan.

More here from @HabibKhanT.

“We have reached out to the Taliban…”It’s bizarre listening to the commander of CENTCOM say we are relying on the Taliban to protect us and we are sharing intelligence with them.

(Reports from earlier in the day continue below.)

@AndrewDesiderio

BREAKING — Our sources describe absolute mayhem right now at HKIA.

-Several U.S. casualties
-U.S. troops returned fire after first explosion
-NATO troops ordered to leave airport gates immediately

Nobody knows anything, but I’ll try to update as reliable information come out. (Some of the purported photos being retweeted by blue checkmarks include scenes of old events).

Updates follow below.

Chaos and Confusion at the Kabul Airport as the 82nd Airborne Begins Evacuation Ahead of Schedule

There are multiple reports of an explosion at the Abbey Gate at the Kabul airport. According to Glenn Beck, this is the British gate and there are preliminary reports of a dozen injured British citizens. Beck reports that three U.S. Marines have been injured in the blast and one infant has been killed. He is live on air from the region and stated that the 82nd Airborne is beginning to evacuate as we speak. Private planes from his non-profit, assisting in the evacuation, are still at the airport, and confusion and chaos abound. […] Journalist Lara Logan is also in the region attempting to assist in facilitating evacuations. In monitoring the situation, she reports speaking to special operations officers who are vomiting as they realize they will be evacuated and leave Americans and their allies behind.

Flights halted: The Taliban have blocked all roads to the airport and are not letting anyone through — even if they have a passport from a Western country.

With at least twelve US service members now reported dead, a question from @JackPosobiec: Where is the President?

  1. So, what would Canada’s Minister of Multiple Birth Places call this … friendly fire?

    1. Um….
What did we do to upset them?

      How did we fail….them?

Obviously we didnt reach out enough.

We need to spend more money

…so on. You know the lines.

  2. Once again, Treasonous Joe Biden was wrong. Al Qaeda and ISIS are in Afghanistan.

If Blinken and Noodding Off Joe are smart, they will use this attack and the Pashtun mores about hospitality to shame them into actively assist us in getting our people out. All of them.

    1. One good thing about dementia is that Uncle Joseph won’t know anything about it.

Imagining the headlines if this was President Trump.

    2. Blinken is doing what Blinken does best … no, he is not writing tersely worded memoranda to the TolleyBon … he is writing desperately apologetic memos to the TolleyBon. Apologizing for MORE of America’s “sins against Holy Islam, may Allah be praised”. Pleading on bended knee to the TolleyBon.

Listen … the 25th Amendment needs to be invoked. Oh! Wait … I looked down the list of Succession … and got really depressed. There isn’t a SANE person on the 15 spot list. Only Janet Yellen has any legitimate education or smarts on the entire list. And that’s a hell of a stretch.

Yeah … America and the world are totally fkcued.

        1. Did the CIA kill Epstein? Or did they smuggle his lifeless-looking body to a remote hideaway?

          1. You know I’m just messin with you. Yes, in all honesty the CIA may have been the entity responsible. However, that was probably with the assist from the Cosa Nostra. Killing the killer is so Mafia.

    3. Shame the Taliban? Really?

I don’t think reminding the Taliban of mores is a realistic strategy.

    1. Answer: HER

This is HER ME “strategy” at work. Throw down our arms. Minimize our security forces. Tell our radical Islamic sworn-enemies we “trust” them. Engineer The Arab Spring by installing the most extreme radical Islamic Terrorist Leaders. Bow deeply while shuffling backward.

This is the “new” American Foreign Policy taught at Georgetown, Princeton, and Harvard. A penitent America … apologizing for our Capitalist bullying of cultures farrrrrr “richer” than our ugly-American culture. Leveling the playing field … by throwing ourselves prone before the enemy.

    1. Don’t worry. There’ll be enough fake ballots printed before the next election to make up for any shortfall.

    2. The media will soon be saying that our brave, brave, highly experienced POTUS skillfully limited the number of American KIA to only 12. And all 12 were unarmed medics giving water to children. The media will immediately claim that the KIA blood is on Trump’s hands as he was the one who started the Afghan withdrawal.

And our SJW military brass will apologize for the “white rage” that put these soldiers in harms way … They will announce an immediate “investigation” into what must have “motivated” these attacks on the noble, beautiful, Afghan people. Gen. Milley will yearn to … understand … what could possibly make adherents to the ROP to do such a violent thing. It must be our white, crackah, Trump supporting troops …

    1. Farrrrrr more dead than that. The report now is 12 US soldiers KIA. And I saw footage of dozens and dozens of bodies on the ground – blown to bits. Death toll will be in the hundreds.

  3. If UN Peacekeeping Troops are ever sent to Afghanistan, it should be comprised of all female soldiers. Let the woke UN and contributing countries put their values where their mouths are. Bonus feature would be pissing off the Taliban.

    1. The US sent in female negotiators just to piss them off at the beginning of the conflict.
I imagined that worked really well…

      1. Jojo, you do know with your experience, an enemy has to be destroyed not bargained with. When they have been reduced to tears and can no longer fight you show mercy. The mercy of prison for years and you make damn sure they have been crushed to the point where they will never come against you again. That of course only lasts for a generation and the insanity starts all over again. History seems unfathomable to a majority of people now living on this planet. Those in western societies are ignorant of history and this why we are where we are. Afghanistan, the whu who flu, crooked elections, communism, it goes on and on. Some of us get to live in-between episodes of insanity. I thought I might have been one of the lucky ones but, no such luck. One can only ignore the morons for so long and then the hate bubbles to the surface.

        1. Vowg

          As another old guy.
Your comment is TRUTH…Steroidal, but truth nevertheless. (Exc comment btw)

History stopped being taught in the late 60’s…directly attributable to the rise of Public Service Unions –
          led by Marxist training Insurgents.

Khrushchev was 100% right …we will destroy ourselves all on our own…I see that Truth as well.

      2. A female CIA agent was killed by a suicide bomber right inside a US base. Tricky bastards.

    2. And the UN face-to-face negotiating team should be ALL transgender troops. After all … we’ve been told that if we don’t include transgendered troops … we’d lose our best Afghan translators. Right?

  4. Why doesn’t Biden just use f15s and nukes on the Taliban?

Maybe someone should tell the Biden admin that the Taliban support Trump.

    1. Too much Collateral Damage could be recorded.
And his blowback may topple his own government.

      1. Good thing I’m not in control, as there would have been no 20 years there, as I would have wiped them out the first week in spite of collateral damage. The collateral damage is now going to be done by the Taliban, once again. One cannot apply civilized thinking to uncivilized savages.

        1. I have to agree. Be a dad. Go in heavy-handed, do the damage, ask “have you learned your lesson?” until you get a tearful “yes”, and say over your shoulder as you leave “Now don’t you make me have to come back in here.”

        2. And then whoever is left and continues to inhabit this 7th century land … carries on with the same radical Islamic insanity. I rarely disagree with you … but the CORRECT strategy was to Flatten every camp, city, and mountain cave hideout that gave sanctuary and training to the 9-11 conspirators. Then … LEAVE. Then … drop Jdams and MOABs as necessary to maintain the elimination of terrorist training facilities.

Don’t need to flatten it all. In fact … the FEAR of ongoing bombing is a far better deterrent.

Not a total disagreement … just a subtle tactical alternative

  5. Business as usual.
What’s it going to take to get rid of this scourge, where is the courage to take it?

    1. Al Capone used the facade of common man helping common man by controlling the bootleg booze distribution during prohibition.
      He ran a criminal organization.
The Taliban, ISIS, pocoharum etc etc all use the facade of devout Muslim to cover up the fact they are nothing but common criminals.
Criminal organizations don’t do the deeds they just maintain control to get a cut of the criminal activity in any given jurisdiction.
In Afghanistan the businesses that turn profit are opium production, safe haven for terrorist organizations and money laundering.
So how do you put an end to these scourges?
      Concentrate on their distribution network.
Nothing gets a criminal organization to eat each other like the suspicion that someone is taking too big a cut, or that they think they are getting short changed.

    1. They don’t have any old or obese people, or long term chronically ill people? Seriously 62 % of their population is under 25 and 93% of their population is under 55.

  6. Shit gets real and Canadian military run away screaming leaving women and children behind.

    Hooah.

    1. Not funny Don.

Their government may suck. But they have some good work with little support.

      1. … in the middle of the night they left – is that what a professional military does?

They may have done good work but it is all for not.

      2. American military are turning on their own by order of their government. They deserve whatever hell they wind up in. Call me after Canadian military are told that we unvaccinated have to be rounded up and placed in prison. The Auzzis are doing just that. I hope no one comes to my house because someone may not leave. Have you taken your government mandated poison?

        1. THIS. “I was just following orders”. Never would I have believed Canadian military would succumb to this but here we are. If they can do it on the other side of the world they will do it on your front porch.

  7. Tell the bastards to stand down and back off a mile. If they don’t, nuke Kandahar. Then politely ask them again.

    1. Yeah, you tell them because they are very scared of us. It is not like they beat the most powerful army ever…. many of them don’t even have shoes.

      1. Don , they beat no one. One has to actually fight and kill all of one’s enemies on the field of battle. THIS WAS NOT DONE. HAVE YOU NOT PAID ATTENTION FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS. This is the most outrageous insanity I have ever seen and I been around a long time. makes Vietnam look like it was a good move.

        1. Both Don and VOWG have good points. Tell the Taliban that their rules of engagement will be used by all western forces during the retreat/evacuation. Tell all western commanders and soldiers that there will be no criminal charges for anything that happens during the retreat (rape exempted, rusty sardine can lid super-circumcisions for those who try; robbery exempted, you can kill them but you can’t take their shit).

A few woke captains may be left behind as fragged, but I suspect a much more orderly and peaceful evacuation.

Oh, and blow up all power generation and transmission. That’s a western thing. They’re not allowed to culturally appropriate it.

        2. I disagree, respectfully. The winner is the side that forces the other side to quit fighting. Which can be accomplished by killing enough of them so that they can’t fight anymore, but more often than not it’s accomplished through other means. Psychological, attrition, demoralization, etc. The fact is that the Taliban have taken the ground. They won. Every death, every dollar of equipment, gas, bombs, bullets, gun, etc. spent in Afghanistan in the last 20 years was totally wasted. Every school built, every woman employed, every hospital built was a total farce. But by god it was effective at accomplishing their true goals, which are to extract as much money from the tax base of the US and put it into the hands of the military industrial complex elites’ bank accounts.

        3. “Don , they beat no one. One has to actually fight and kill all of one’s enemies on the field of battle. THIS WAS NOT DONE. HAVE YOU NOT PAID ATTENTION FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS. This is the most outrageous insanity I have ever seen and I been around a long time. makes Vietnam look like it was a good move.”

Well said. It gets annoying, hearing the same tired old BS over and over again.

The US had enough technology and the massive firepower required to *completely depopulate* Afghanistan if they had chosen to do so. Sadly, they lacked the one other thing necessary to actually win this war: the political will.

      2. “they beat the most powerful army ever”

Last 2 US combat deaths were January 11, 2020. They weren’t exactly getting their asses whipped.

        1. The famed 82nd Airborne is evacuating and leaving American citizens to fend for themselves. It’s a fucking rout!

          1. “The famed 82nd Airborne is evacuating and leaving American citizens to fend for themselves. It’s a fucking rout!”

Thank the politicians for that decision.

  8. The Taliban have no interest in keeping or maintaining the major assets left behind.
Those are for sale for hard currency.
The drug cartels in South America would love to get an Apache helicopter and the ammo to fully arm it.
Iran would want to give their proxies those ground vehicles to infiltrate Israel, the Taliban would surely give them a discount for a bulk buy.
The Taliban want small arms, light vehicles and rpg’s, the rest will be listed on Kijiji.

    1. China and Russia will be glad to have them, to reverse engineer military knockoffs with technology they haven’t yet stolen.

  9. There has to be some sort of event that tips off the military that their “commander-in-chief “ is no longer their commander-in-chief and respond accordingly.

    1. Phil

Fabulous…and a Damn good film to boot.

The only thing our “brothers” understand.

  10. Taliban just broke the truce/agreement. Send in 15000 troops. Retake Bagram at a minimum, and start teaching.

USA is as rudderless and useless as Canada right now. If Biden and the dems gave one crap about USA they would be begging Trump to take over

    1. That’s what the military industrial complex in the US want right now. Their endless war is in danger of ending. The need to continue the military operations. If you think there are 10,000 to 15,000 US “civilians” in Afghanistan right now, you are either stupid or just incredibly naive. The only people left in that country right now are either CIA or US special forces… i.e. folks who don’t need a rescue. Everything being reported in the “news” right now is propaganda that is meant to distract the public and manufacture consent for further military operations there. Trump was right, get the hell out of there and stay out.

    2. Air supremacy, special forces, drones and precision bombing. No need for a large army, just a robust military force.
B52s flying overhead selecting targets. Special forces on the ground directing tactical fire from drones and jets.
That’s what was supposed to be happening as the US forces withdrew, instead Butcher Biden pulled lynchpin air support.
Just lay waste to these murderers. They endanger their people so much, our forces couldn’t do worse for sure.
Blow them to bits with only special operators on the ground, crush them with drones and other forces. Then go home again.
Mount up and train for the next groups of Islamist assholes to wipe off the face of their earth, toilet paper for freedom.
If you don’t, they will reconstitute their terrorism capability, as suicide bombings clearly demonstrate. But don’t stay.

  11. Sometimes you just have to laugh. From Anders Corr writing in the Epoch Times about the AFGHAN leadership:

” … often in it for themselves rather than for ideals like democracy, human rights, rule of law, and religious tolerance.”

Sure glad it’s not like that here in The West.

  12. Glen Beck’s am radio show has been well worth listening to this week. Will be interesting to listen to in the upcoming days as he is promising to name names and relate some of the more egregious acts in regards to the fuster cluck that is happening.

  13. I think somebody’s cheque bounced

    https://nationalpost.com/opinion/tasha-kheiriddin-on-foreign-policy-trudeau-liberals-have-no-clue-our-brothers-gaffe-just-the-latest-fail

“ In 2021, the roles are reversed. It is the Liberals who are in government, asking for a third mandate, defending a foreign policy record that can only be described as a series of fails. These include the PM’s disastrous trip to India in 2018, Canada’s “dilettante” attempt at obtaining a seat on the UN security council in 2020, and China detaining two Canadian citizens for the past two years while openly mocking Trudeau as a “boy” who has turned Canada “into a running dog of the U.S.” Add to that Trudeau’s incredulous statement this week, that he is “concerned” about revelations that his government contracted to build a $100 million Canadian ferry in China (the Tories immediately pledged to terminate the deal), and it is clear that when it comes to international relations, the emperor not only has no clothes, he has no clue.”

  14. Contrary to what people may think, the 25th will not be used till Pelosi gets HR4 through the house. They need Harris for any tie breaker votes

    1. They already got the $3.4T ‘infrastructure’ bill through. After HR4 and the vaccine mandate, it will be mission accomplished.

  15. Time the USA prepared an airdrop of its very best A-team Benghazi negotiators:

Hilliary Clinton, may as well add Bill Clintoon and Chelsea
    Susan Rice
    Huma Abedin
    Obambi
    John Kerry
    Blinken
    Lloyd Austin-minority hire
Milley vanilley the lip sync supposed chairman of joint chiefs of waffling
    Victoria Nuland
and just for good measure Nancy Pelosi, sleepy Joe, Smallwell, heck send everybody who sits in congress, except Rand Paul.

You may wish to add further deserving candidates, apparently C17’s can handle approx 700 occupants.

Notice I emphasise air-drop, I do not wish to jeapardize one single member of the military. (Milley excepted)

Breitbart reporting 12 USA military dead. Disgusting cowardice of the political class did this.

  16. The mainstream media right now is sowing a narrative that this was NOT the Taliban’s responsibility, but rather some “other” group of bad bad terrorists called ISIS-K. In effect they are actively legitimizing the Taliban as the government of Afghanistan, by constructing a new demon on which they will ascribe anything terrorist related that happens now. The mainstream media

What is really going on, as anyone with a brain can deduce, is that the Taliban are extorting as many billions of US dollars as they can get and they will resort to violence and murder to hurry those negotiations along. Every US citizen, every refugee, every piece of equipment that leaves Afghanistan at this point has a price tag on it. Not the cost of the equipment, but rather the cost to the US government to get it out of the hands of the Taliban.

  17. Mohammad Justin has announced fifty million dollars in humanitarian aid for the Afghan people.

  18. The fight is tribal – like it has always been. Afghanistan has a ‘fighting season’ like we have a fishing season. Think about it.

What target would you bomb that wouldn’t involve citizens as collateral damage? No country want’s to risk that.

  19. The Gay Empire’s humiliation is total. They are reduced to begging the Taliban to protect them from ISIS. A fitting end to a 20 year fiasco.
