Watch out, Al Jazeera, the CBC is on your turf. When it comes to presenting a particularly one-sided view of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the controversial Qatari network will have to work to keep up with the platoon of CBC activis… er, journalists, who think their taxpayer-funded network (and all news organizations) must become even more negative toward Israel than they already are.
During the recent battle between Israel and Hamas, almost three-dozen of Mothercorp’s high-minded news types signed, along with several hundred people also claiming to be journalists, an open letter condemning Canadian media’s insufficiently critical “coverage of forced expulsions and indiscriminate airstrikes” in the Gaza Strip.

What particularly shocked me was advertisements from Muslim charities on the pages covering the conflict asking for money to help the poor oppressed widows and orphans of Gaza. Talk about a blatant conflict of interest. And how many of those so called charities go straight to funding the rockets they were firing at Israeli civilians?
In the fine journalistic traditions of Joseph Goebbels. You would think that Jew hating Nazis wouldn’t be welcome at CBC. The more the left goose-steps the more they accuse conservatives of being like them.
Isn’t hate now considered illegal in Canada? “If” I ranted on about how much I hate muslims or gays, or liberals or, or, or, I would be arrested, charged and convicted under our idiotic hate crime laws. However, expressing hate for the Jewish people, or desiring them to be swept into the sea, is considered acceptable. I guess the only hate that is forgivable is hate for Jews. I may be wrong there as well, because, Is it hate, when it references the Jewish people or the Jewish state. If I can’t hate the muslims and the left in general, could I extremely detest them instead?
The letter is here.

Not one “journalist” on the list do I recognize.
Not even:

The ethnic roots of many of the surnames, on the other hand……..!
We are watching history repeat itself, only this time the Jews will not roll over. If they turn the Middle East to glass it just may be a good thing.
Yes I think all the “roll over and walk meekly into the chambers without a fight” Ashkenazi Jews got wiped out by the Nazis. The ones not dead are either just lucky or Darwinian survivors. Although they are a minority in Israel they were mostly the original Zionists who established the country. The Sephardi Jews lived with Muslims all along and never lost sight of what they were capable of. It will be leave us be or glass. Nothing in between.
The Middle East? You’re thinking small.
How about a thermonuclear circular firing squad of all the great powers?
The next serious attempt at a Holocaust WILL be the last—with the nations who defy the God of Israel utterly destroyed with their own doomsday weapons.
If that’s what it takes to heal the world and convince what remains of humanity to abandon all gods but the God of Israel, bring it on. His ways have never been man’s, and thank Him for that.

Turning the middle east to glass, again(?) Sodom and Gamorah was the first time(?), is not a good thing, as there are a lot of fine people over there. And it’s the cradle of civilization so that might be a bad omen. However, closer to home, why are Canadian taxpayers funding anti semitism? What is a “good thing” is the fact that the National Post is calling them on it.
I invite even one CBC presstitute to express similar concern for Hong Kong where the commie chinese government have recently shut down a news organization-where is the outrage?
Since Tiannmen Square has also been erased from the memory of the presstitutes, I will no doubt wait in vain.
For some reason VOWG I cannot respond to your comments. Anyway, don’t bank on anyone of the various Hebrew faiths resisting. Too many of them blindly vote and support Liberal or Democrat with no thought of the consequences. You cannot fix stupid.
Not in Israel.
The CBC allows no commenting on any story dealing with Israel, nor will they allow any for any of their articles dealing with residential schools, racism in the armed forces (or Green Party) or sexism in the RCMP. In fact, if you don’t split up your words like “ra cism” and “mis ogynist ” your comment will be labelled Content Deactivated and made unviewable. You can still say the most vile things you like about anything or anyone Conservative, though…
