Prostitution and drug possession should be decriminalized across the board.

To be fair, drug possession and prostitution are no more crimes than misgendering someone is.
I imagine ignoring those activities ,just might increase the violence of criminals
to enlarge their territory by shooting the competition..
“Drug possession” is a false concept since “Drug Possession” leads to impaired drivers, irresponsible behaviors (as with “Meth”) and more victims of violence and vehicle crashes. It isn’t like the “druggies” bunker down when they are high. Alcohol at least has easy “curbside” tests that can be used to removed the impaired. Then there is the user problem of ODing with some of the newer, potent variations and there is no practical way to separate “users” from “dealers” and no practical ways to separate “legit” drugs from the adulterated. Fentanyl derivatives are probably cheaper than “authentic” heroin, but “mixing” crystals in the powder sold on the street is technically difficult. A “hot shot” is inevitable and likely to kill either the user or those aroud the user, if he/she is driving. The FDA doesn’t operate curb-side.
