Between the ethics committee, the SNC Lavalin escapade, and now this, in a real country half of the Liberal cabinet would be out of office and on the unemployment line, but this is Canaduh. We don’t even have any opposition parties that are worth their salt to table a non-confidence motion to bring this sorry excuse of a parliament down. We will stumble-bumble along and watch this country descend into a bigger quagmire than we have now, and then we’ll all clutch our pearls and ask how did this happen. Well it happened because no one in this country has the intestinal fortitude to call for a general strike and shut the country down until these crooks and charlatans have been removed from office.
When the Conservatives “table a non-confidence motion” it does not receive the support of the other opposition parties, notably the NDP, and fails.
I honestly expected Kielburger to turn on a cat filter on the video call app to derail things.
Thinking here, the leader of the so called ‘Conservative’ opposition is right about now sorry that Pierre Poilievre is not laid out with a flu or something.
The sad thing is that 70% of liberal voters do not care about this scandal and if they did they would vote liberal anyway. They have been taught in our education system, liberal good, conservative bad.
I like Pierre, for what that’s worth, just wish he wasn’t alone.

I like Pierre, but one can the see the problem with his approach and style (which isn’t new and which isn’t limited to this case; on the other hand, he’s more than capable of adjusting his tactics — and needs to) from some of the comments above: he’s stridently racing ahead to a conclusion that technically is not his to make alone (he needs to learn to bring the public along). To paraphrase, the put down is “Meh. That’s just Pierre…” It’s a safe bet that the public would look at this and find it all very jarring and confusing, and would tune it out, as some above suggest.
In this regard, Rick Anderson criticized Stephen Harper’s original non-confidence motion on the minority Martin government over Adscam on the same basis: too much, too soon and the public did not grasp the full scope of the issue. Belinda Stronach switched to being a Liberal, the motion was defeated by one vote and we didn’t have an election for another year, until the Gomery Commission gradually took its toll on the Martinites.
I have a more sinister take on what the K brothers are doing here: their chutzpah seems to me, mainly, an attempt to insulate the PMO from the accusation that the latter had a lot to do with the Ks getting the contract in question. Everybody has a fairly consistent impression about what the Ks are about, so what do they get by denying that the PMO had anything to do with the matter at hand? Simple: save Mr. Trudeau, Jr. the embarrassment of being implicated directly, which helps the Liberals, and if the Liberals win a majority at the polls, the contract might just come back their way. “Woe is us, being caught in a political scandal we had nothing to do with. We’re just a couple of hard-working dudes just trying to help out.”
So, Pierre has this here information, and his first job is to methodically and patiently make them squirm at length — lots of mumbling and stuttering, pregnant pauses, prevarications, half-truths, evasions, etc. Drag it out, and really get them on the record. Then start asking questions in the House in the same fashion, and get the PM or his PS or whoever on the record doing the same stuff. Instead, Pierre started shouting over Craig and it became a cacophony that was hard to follow. Once you’ve accomplished the squirming, then make the charge in writing to whomever the appropriate authorities are and release the letter to the media while making your case in a scrum. Turn it into a story for the week.

Pierre Poilievre is doing exactly what needs to be done.
Steadily staying on course to bring out the truth about corruption.
When you’re dealing with low life in high places they need to be demolished completely as they do little bit by little bit every hour of every day.
The key is to stay on high ground and be decent, people will notice the difference. They will become to understand what it is, the corruption of the so called ‘Liberals’. Most have not time to delve into details, Pierre Poilievre does and so he must.
Too bad there are not more politicians that will take on the burden of speaking truth to power, revealing serious corruption in high places.
The only danger here is that the pretend leader of the so called ‘Conservatives’ will succeed with shutting him down and out.
That is the real danger.
Maybe there are enough conservatives in the so called ‘Conservative’ party to prevail.
Get a note from the local ‘Conservative’ MP that is completely meaningless, with pronunciations and useless talking points without any substance what so ever.
It’s great to that trapped weasel scurrying back and forth in his cage, too stupid to realize that he can’t free himself with more lies.
Unfortunately, he’s not in any real trouble. He’s so well connected that he will easily walk, and there’s not even the remotest possibility of him even coming away with smudge on his reputation.
