   (c) subsection 353(1) (failure to register);
   (d) section 354 (failure to appoint financial agent) or subsection 355(1) (failure to appoint auditor);
   (d.1) subsection 357.01(1) or 357.02(1) (failure to file interim third-party expenses return) or 357.01(10) (failure to provide documents evidencing expenses on request);
   (d.2) paragraph 357.03(b) (filing interim third-party expenses return that is substantially incomplete); or

   The whole act is written in the form of administrative penalties to “encourage compliance with the act”, which of course an abomination, and shouldn’t be permitted in a free and open society, but I’m sure they will claim the exemption in section 1 of the charter.

   1. As penalties, it takes away the “innocence until proven guilty” requirement. The accused must prove innocence. We have reversed the Magna Carta. This failed turd-world country needs to be torn down and rebuilt.

That can make it harder on the defendant, but not usually, since strict liability is usually only imposed in situations where intent is either irrelevant or obvious. The Crown still has to prove that you actually did it, and you still have any defenses you might have.

24. I found the book on Amazon and should get delivery on or about Jan. 30, 2021. Now having ordered it, the last thing I ordered about 10 days ago was cancelled because they suddenly discovered they didn’t have it in stock after all. So will just have to see whether it arrives or not. Chapter/Indigo doesn’t have it, nor does Audrey’s Bookstore in Edmonton have it. If the order is cancelled, I will probably donate some money to The Rebel News.
