The purpose of registration is to record ownership of a vehicle. It should not “expire” at all unless ownership changes hands.
Registration was never meant to be a tax on vehicle ownership.
This is the backdoor method of defunding the police. Decriminalize everything, and there’s no need for police.
The government has prevented me from driving to Florida this coming winter. I guess that is just as well. Virginia is part of my route and I like to drive at night.
