1. Those are the real heroes risking their lives to safe people from the fire due to California’s miss managed forest. Heaven forbid loggers thin the forest and remove the dry brush at ground level, what is the worst that will happen. Best keep the big city green voters feeling like they are doing something for the environment sitting in their burned out Starbucks after the riots. These are the people that think dumping a little potting soil on the pavement will grow the food needed to feed a city.

   And of course there is former president Obama in his new ocean front mansion tweeting that the fires are all because of “global warming”. Just tax the flue gases a little more and the oceans will stop rising and the planet will heal.

   1. It is not economic to thin and clear brush from these forests. Nor are resources available. These forests have evolved to burn as a means of reproduction. Nothing can stop these fires once they get going. The best and cheapest is construction of massive firebreaks around property. By massive I mean minimum 500 metres 1000 metres preferred.

      If people don’t want to do that then insurance companies need to adjust premiums accordingly.

2. So very true about who the REAL heroes are! While so many idolize Cardi B. and Meghan Markle and Colin Kaepernic, we have REAL heroes right in front of us here!

4. We recently lost a firefighting pilot (helicopter, I think) from Montana who was helping out west.
   Indeed these are real heroes. Many thanks to all of them.

6. Right on my Asian dude! It’s times like this that I want to remind everyone race and colour are just skin deep. Culture is what matters and anyone can buy in to Western culture. We’re individuals who bristle at being told we have to do something but we’re also the ones willing to risk it all for people we don’t know. Personal choice and personal responsibility are awesome characteristics.

   And perhaps I should watch more of the Cal Fire spokespersons explaining firefighting tactics during their daily briefings? Because I get the impression they are mostly just letting all the fires burn. I guess, to finally clear out all the diseased trees and underbrush, that our “environmentalists” won’t allow to be cleared. Because “Fire is natural” … uh huh … gender-reveal ignition is … uh, yeah … “natural”. I cannot believe we do NOT have enough planes and helicopters to put these fires out QUICKLY. But we aren’t.

   Instead, every Fire, every summer … we get the same Global Warming is causing MORE and BIGGER fires. Global Warming! Global Warming! And what better way to deliver the message than LETTING the fires RAGE! The leftist CA politicians are in complete control of the “messaging” … and the Fire Department.

   CA Wildfires? Read … Fahrenheit 451. The Fire Department is in total agreement … that these Fires MUST Rage! Because … they “prove” Global Warming.

8. So when is anybody going to investigate the role of eco-terrorsts in setting these fires? Much less find out how many antifas helped start fires to work off the cost of bailing them out of prison?

   Climate change my grandmother. This is arson—and attempted mass murder. Done for no better reason than to make the President look bad in an election year.

This American election will be the biggest landslide re-election of any politician ever, on Nov 3. 12. I’m continually amazed by the lack of situational awareness of people. Nobody listens to the news, looks around them in the am while out side, scratching their nether parts? Having spent a couple of decades in the bush and experienced numerous forest fires, up close and personal and fought some of them, do these people ever prep for this? The Santa Anna winds come by every year in Cali, plus the heat and dryness. Can’t dig a dugout and keep it full of water, trim bush back, own a Wajax pump, some hose and a nozzle or two? Grub hoe, shovel or even an axe? Build better than a double wide made from particle board and glue, with asphalt shingles? And if the winds are what they are with the potential of limitless fuel to feed either natural fires, or man set ones (these aren’t?), why build/live there, especially with limited exit routes? Why expect folks to save your ass for poor decisions? And don’t think it doesn’t happen north of 49, because I’ve seen stupid before. Bush, grass, forest fires move like shit through a goose, in a good wind and everybody chucks their butts from a moving vehicle into the ditch, among other tossed trash.

    I was settling in to watch the football game last night and the show started out telling me how terrible white people were. It became time for Bewitched reruns. They sure knew how to make sitcoms in the 1960s. Everyone was white and straight – like me.
