Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Can’t wait for the ballots to be counted. How does a kick to the butt feel, Andy?
Derek Sloan will not win.
Our next best hope is Ibn O’Toole.
If McKay wins, we should start thinking of asymmetrical approach to Khanada.
He allowed himself to talk back to his masters, a little bit, once there was nothing for him to lose.
Trump showed them 4 years ago that the way to deal with the media is to boot them in the nuts every time that they lie.
He also crapped all over Rebel media and any of his MPs who didn’t kiss the pimped media’s ass.
plus one
This coming from a guy who cowered and groveled before the MSM like a insipid freak.
This is probably the best situation where the CBC ignored the CPC leadership race rather than attempting to engineer their candidate’s victory like last time. McKay could still win though.
Too little, too late. Exactly. Had he run hard on this, he’d be on top today. Pandering is never a recipe for success, unless you’re a loony leftie. Doug Ford, take note….
Yes I heard Doug Ford in Brockville today (or was it yesterday) uttering a eulogy to Justhis Socks; sickening. He will get no thanks or favours from Trudeau for that. Just a smirky call-me-uncle smile.
Doug became liberal lite and has morphed into a full fledged dictator. This whu who flu sure has shown me just who is what. Tyrants each and every one.
This is an issue I have with the PPC. Max is great and courageous and smart but he is not a rabble rouser; will not go for the gonads. We, the country, does need a fighter, a brawler, to shake the country free of the shackles of indolent bureaucracy and the political equivalent of soma; of the death grip of “international obligations” that see our money syphoned off to every tin-pot bananarite thief and their nomenclatura in the “august international bodies” which are cesspits of corruption, unaccountability and nepotism.
End the UN; the World Bank; OECD; IPCC and all the tranzy NGOs like Red Cross, UNESCO, Save the Children, Oxfag, greenpeace … the list goes on. Remove their charitable status; make them do something for the money. And something positive. Not ensuring the problem remains so they can always have a job solving it.
I guess I’m in a ranting mood tonight. Grrr. Defenestrate the lot!
Have I made my point?
You need to calm down a bit. Some of the organizations you name have not had charitable status for decades, like Greenpeace. They lost that a long time ago in Canada for electioneering. Some international organizations are indeed useless or destructive like the UN, World Bank, IPCC. But OECD does some very useful technology research and development. It’s technical conferences and meetings are generally highly regarded. UNSCEAR has always been a highly reputable group (unlike WHO). And IAEA has done some useful work over the decades in preventing nuclear weapons proliferation as the administrating body of the Non Proliferation Treaty despite some serious failures with Iran and North Korea.
The secret I suspect is to take the handful of useful parts of the UN like UNSCEAR and IAEA and bulldoze down the rest. Not that it matters. New York City is in the process of rapid disintegration and decay.
The OECD is a stepping stone for ex Libreal finance ministers, apparently. Morneau illustrates perfctly the purpose of these organisations. You can expect to see the work of the OECD to decline over the next decade, Morneau or not.
Morneau won’t get in. Being head of OECD means gaining the support of the remainder of the members. Morneau and specifically Canada have none whatsoever there.
Morneau’s bid for the OECD is as dead on arrival as was that of Maurice Strong’s bid for UN Sec Gen in 1995.
Calming down is the opposite of what is needed, we need rage, total and complete rage at the fools and morons that are screwing up our lives and country.
R o O: But…but…but if you defund the OECD, where will Bill Morneau go? We can’t have him wandering the streets!
Morneau doesn’t even know where his French villa is. Sometimes he doesn’t even know he has one.
What! he noticed the Truth… Canada is nothing but an Socialist experimental Group that hopes to influence the USA….The CBC have to follow the fast moving politics of the Democrats (KKK) and lead Canadians down a EU/UN
path… WTF! why follow fools… Why not have a Canadian opinion of CANADA…Fuck the EU….Fix Canadian Problems without Foreign influence…. Be a Fucking Canadian…
Born Canadian, but left !
Perfect, pithy, headline.
Andy, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Had you led you wouldn’t be seeing this now.
Should be a lesson here for whomever leads the Conservative Party after tomorrow, not that I’m expecting them to take heed.
Arsehole. We’ve been shouting it for years; it’s obvious to everyone who is not left of the traditional center that the media are left-wing biased against conservative views. What finally roused him from this CBC fetish miasma?
Andy struck me as a genuine nice guy and “progressive” conservative, as is McKay, for lack of a better term. The progressive part is not compatible with a cultural level conservative, I find it easy to tell the difference when I hear them talk. Sloan has the right tone, Lewis and O’toole make all the noises but… I expect Sloan will get the “Maxime” treatment and we’ll get stuck with another progressive.
It’s not compatible with a Libertarian conservatism either. In fact, it is only liberal (Canadian cointext) in blue suite.
That milk mustache was the middle finger to any remaining conservative voters left in Kan-eh-duh. He couldn’t do any worse than Buhlinduh, crossing the floor. Now, many years later we’ll get to see what a small town, Scotia Novan lawyer can do for Canuckistan. WEXIT. Don’t forget, these guys got a raise while you lost out on Chinah WuFlu.
Every. Last. One. Of. Them.
Recent discussion with our former CPC MP…he lost to Anthony Rota .
When I said Never Mackay because he is Lib Lite, the response was that is what we need to take on the Libs, confirming to me what we have known….real conservatives base is ignored.
We are doomed.
And the response indicates that the candidate was saying “I will not learn”. This means that the prognosis is terminal.
Learn what?
Lib lite is what it takes to win in Canada. Conservatism doesn’t sell. Now less than ever.
The problem is Canada.
The problem is Canadians.
As long as the CBC and all other media is supported/paid for by the state, conservatives will never get a fair shake. Trump understood this in the USA.
Jeff, that is correct and their socialist desires is the base of our problem.
And why wouldn’t the Corpse pay more attention to US politics? What does it matter who is the next leader of the bogus opposition party? The decision was made in the Chinese compound on St. Patrick Street a long time ago.
To the extent it matters, the choice will reflect just how sick Beijing is of Justin and how badly they want him out and replaced with a more competent satrap. If they want Justin out, it will be Mackay. Otherwise it will be the housegirl Lewis, who has less appeal to any real Canadian than Jagmeet Singh.
“Otherwise it will be the housegirl Lewis” She does have an intellectual support team that tests every thing she says…Like Elisabeth Warren she always has the right Beginning, Middle & Ending of a fanciful story line… almost BOT like
JMHO
Where in Hell was this Andy during the election?
I expect the well connected McKay to win, and do a great job representing the Laurentian Elite in parliament after he wins a seat when some suckholing MP steps aside to let him run in a byelection.
I have seen SO many conservatives claim that Scheer represented decency, Christianity, family, virtuousness, and was a man of great personal integrity, which disappoints me as those who make that claim must have blinders on. First: Scheer never held a real job in the private sector in his entire life, just a convenient stopgap job as an insurance clerk which he lied about and tried to represent himself as an agent, a businessman not a minion. Second: in 16 f***ing years in Parliament he never ONCE stated that he held dual citizenship, all the while excoriating Steffie Dion for holding dual citizenship, which NO PM candidate should be allowed to hold. Third: he sold out to the Quebec dairy cartel to win the CPC leadership, and fourth and by far the worst of his many sins, Scheer hired Warren Kinsella to dig up dirt on a conservative rival,Maxime Bernier!
As I have said before, THAT is equivalent to David Ben Gurion hiring Adolph Eichmann to help organize the Israeli transport system. Scheer’s election to CPC leader, as his many critics here at SDA have stated, meant at least another term or two of Trudeau government. Andrew Scheer is everything a smart political campaign manager does NOT want in a candidate: dorky appearance, piss poor speaker, unable to think on his feet, and a bafflegab artist to rival Trudeau when asked a serious question. Add a lack of charm and tendency to pander to the activist group of the day and the media, and you have the candidate from Hell, IF you want to run a winning campaign.
Contrast the s.o.b. with Ronald Reagan, a campaign manager’s dream. Good riddance to Andrew Scheer, I wish he would quit politics altogether and go get an honest job,but I doubt he’s capable of doing that, unless it’s poster boy for the dairy cartel. Now, tomorrow will tell if there’s any hope or if we’re going to go Full Cuba in nervous Little Canader. I am not optimistic.
Why don’t they ever have a 2 for 1 sale on good single malt Scottch at the local boozery?
Don, an excellent analysis of andy milk scheep, and I hope Ooz and unColon read and comprehend what you posted!!
The Social Conservatives, the mad Wexit folks, and the Maxime fans need to divorce this CPC and re-formulate the People’s Party. Jettison Max, because although he had clear ideological principles, he had some of the same poor leadership qualities as Andrew had (poor with the media, always stepping in crap, always on the defensive.) Get a new PPC leader and see where that takes you.
And where that takes you is not far. Canada is mostly urban, and mostly Red Liberal, and is “represented” by a hopelessly biased media. You cannot wish these facts away.
The PPC and the CPC must separate and learn what the NDP knows. You either be a principled rump of 20-40 Members of Parliament (like the NDP), or you make a serious run for power and accept some compromises (Peter MacKay.)
Too little, too late indeed. Ever since Pearson came to power the Marquess of Queensbury rules were tossed out the window in Canadian politics. The Liberals at that point had learned well from the US Democrats. The Kennedy’s knew that if you controlled the media then you controlled the message. Ever since then for the Democrats and the Liberals politics has been a blood sport and there has been no holds barred. The Republicans never learned until Trump showed up that when the other side doesn’t abide by protocol and tradition, Queensbury Rules, then there is no point in abiding by them yourself. On the other hand there is no-one in conservative Canadian politics that has come to the realization that they are being played for fools. The Duffy scandal was the poisoned pen that put paid to the Harper government for the paltry sum of $96,000, meanwhile we have the Liberals shoveling out Canadian taxpayer dollars faster than the Canadian Mint can print them, payouts to terrorists, foreign dictators, family and friends, and who knows where else. The Canadian media, bought and paid for by the Liberals keep shoveling the BS and Canadians keep eating it up like it was chocolate pudding, and the loyal Opposition doesn’t have the where with all to find a leader with the intestinal fortitude to say enough is enough, the gloves are off!
Scheer is totally correct, and the CBC should be ashamed, A few years ago, I would have thought that the idea of getting rid of the CBC was an extremist position. No more. They add nothing of value to public discourse. In fact, much of their coverage is destructive to the country.
.
I can’t say that this is new. I haven’t trusted the CBC to tell truth for over 20 years. The CBC is not to be trusted because their worldview is a particular worldview. Lies of omission are their forte. Never expect the full truth from them, that’s not their stock in trade.
LL, as many have said in the past, Canada’s Pravda.
You can’t disagree with a Womyn of Colour from our top notch national television network. They have the pulse of Toronto and their new Prime Time show, Family Feud Canada is a smash hit! Scheer’s comments struck me as racist.
They can take a pulse by having a lip-lock on the privates of the interviewee? Well, I suppose that could be a marketable skill.
maybe the electorate will one day wake up, before all our bank accounts read $0000000!!
Not a snowballs chance.
That’s the point. Their bank accounts are not showing zero because of CERB, because of 9-billion to students, etc. The Liberals are paying their supporters. And Trudeau plans to pay them even more. The CPC can’t beat the Liberals. Only Liberals beat Liberals. In this case, only a collapse of the banking system will do it. The debt is going to kill us, but not for a few years yet.
Scheer, you are about as welcome as a garlic fart. Go away and I hope I never see your fat ass and punchable face ever again
Scheer is right on both counts, but why would he fight back against” the enemy of the people” now and not during the last election when it might have made a difference ? Seems weird. Scheers advisers were spectacularly wrong, stupid, cowardly and inept.
+++ Sean, yes.
Sean, I contacted my rep, who is a con, and told him as much, and crickets, may as well have walked outside and talked to that tree just outside my front door
This. Early in his campaign Scheer declared that he would not even speak to Rebel reporters. Why? Because if he even conducted a single interview, heck if anyone having anything to do with his campaign or the party did, the CBC would have called him and the party racist. And I realized at that moment that Scheer had just surrendered to the CBC and made the Conservative party subservient to them. After that I didn’t listen to a thing he said and I tuned into Maxime Bernier. What’s infuriating is that the CBC never stopped and will never stop smearing the Conservative party as racist. So now Scheer has nothing to lose and so he’s speaking with conviction, honesty and testicular fortitude. But the thing about true testicular fortitude is that is shows up during the most trying times when the stakes are at their highest. Not easy times when there’s no longer anything to lose.
I see it in O’Toole and I see it in Max, but I do not see it in MacKay.
” Scheers advisers were spectacularly wrong, stupid, cowardly and inept … ”
And the steer himself?
I’m no Scheer fan… his advisers were spectacularly wrong, they were cowards and they were stupid. Scheer was no better, he was a fool and a coward for listening to them. Scheer drinking out of the milk carton was a prime example of his own lack of self awareness, but it served as yet another example illustrating the incompetence of Scheers team of advisors and handlers. Scheer and his team didn’t build bridges and didn’t reach out to other Cons as they should have. They ran the Con leadership like a censorious dictatorship, primarily censoring their own people while letting the corrupt LIberal party and their Media define them as “intolerant” and “racist”. Scheer was a weak leader, cowardly and foolish and the advisors that ran his office were even worse. Glad Scheer is gone and hope the people that were advising him are gone too.
Yup. Andrew Scheer. It just had to happen: someone was bound to come along who would make Joe Ckark look like Rambo.
Did Scheer’s balls drop?
The very last thing Canadian “liberals” want is a mirror.
What a gift question.
She pitches a beachball question to him like that.
Twice!
Andrew Scheer should have read Small Dead Animals and particularly Bill Whittle’ s take down of the MSM yesterday recorded the interview himself, and “T” ed off on the answer.
All of our “leaders” are idiots.
If they were merely idiots, I could live with that. But they’re not.
They’re corrupt and greedy and power-hungry and dishonest … and they simply don’t give a **** about the future of their country or its citizens.
OK sure. He had a good answer and delivered it well… this time. But he still enabled the CBC demented behaviour by showing up at the interview. But it doesn’t matter. The entire point of those questions isn’t to get an answer, it’s simply to allow the attractive minority talking head to blow a nice long dog whistle for the Liberal party. 99.9% of their audience had their eyes rolled back into their head in a state of ecstasy halfway through her reading the first question (which really wasn’t a question at all).
The people who watch the CBC are so far gone at this point, calling them low IQ voters is a gigantic understatement.
