            1. You confuse a difference of opinion with factual LIES.
               I dislike statistical “evidence” for causation in any case. The most one could say is whether corporal punishment tends to lead to crime statistically, or not. There surely isn’t a direct causal relationship. But they say those things all the time. Like RoundUp “causes” cancer. That is even a law. Let alone millions and millions of people have used it to no bad effect. But if there is statistical evidence that proportionally those people who suffered corporal punishment tend to commit more crimes, then it fits the current requirement for causation.
               As to monogamy, I’d say more the Judeo-Christian ethic. I can’t think of another major religion that insists on it, not Islam, Hinduism, or Buddhism. If he is speaking strictly in a religious sense, he may be right. If he is speaking culturally, then I believe the ancient Greeks and Romans practiced monogamy, before Christianity. There may be other native cultures, for all I know.
               In any case, picking out one difference of opinion and calling someone a liar is a favorite tactic of the left. Like calling Trump a liar because he said ALL crime infested cities are run by Democrats. He should have said almost all, but the point stands.
