Ever wonder why the plight of the homeless in North America’s west coast cities never improves? Ever wonder why the plight of poor Black Americans never seems to improve?
Pro tip: Never follow a leader who would lose the only job he is qualified to do if he succeeds in solving your problems.

You know why President Trump is so hated by many of his supposedly allied Republican politicians?
He has permanently solved many of their pet partisan hobby horses. Funding HBCU? He made the yearly funding permanent, taking away a pet bipartisanship wotking together issue.
Alternative Minimum Tax, the tax that was waived every freaking year for twenty years, and was touted by dishonest Republican politicians as a great victory every year? Trump Eliminated it permanently. Now some Republican politicians will need a new pet cause to claim victory over.
He is building the wall, now what will dishonest politicians do? They can no longer say “Just build the dang wall” in their political ads every six years, and ignore it for the other five, like the dead Juan McCain.
If PDT keeps it up, the Republicans might have to actually deliver on their promises of smaller government and less spending.
Maybe instead of getting rid of that sweet, sweet graft and goodies, they can start repealing stupid laws? That would be a great, measurable goal.
they can start repealing stupid laws
If that happened, what would all those civil service drones do if they can’t enforce something ridiculous? After all, isn’t it part of their jobs to recite something along the lines of “I’m only following the rules….” while making one’s life miserable?
If it wasn’t for the black-and-white thinking associated with those stupid laws, they would have to think, use their imaginations, or, worse, show some initiative. That would never do!
Not only that, but instead of making money off people’s complaints about the left’s destroying America, and doing nothing meaningful about it, President Trump may yet succeed in crushing the American left too. Then nobody will need the Official Right at all.
Standing with President Trump are the armed forces, the good men of American law enforcement, the real working class of the United States—and, yes, the God Who made them all. What does he need the GOP for?
Certainly not to settle scores with the bankers who paid for antifa’s bricks and the terrorists with law degrees who threw them.
The rule of lawyers is coming to a close. The lawyers are soiling themselves with fright at the thought of law and order being restored by men in uniform liberated to make pieces of human trash tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth—making the job of bringing them to justice the straightforward process it should be.
The left never fixes any problem….they never really mean to but rather they try to industrialize it and put it into the unionized public sector….and as the public sector grows, it will always vote for the left. It’s really a circle jerk.
Ditto “Palestinians”, a non-people in a non-country of the formerly Vilayat Surya.
The manufactured Palestinian people on the manufactured Palestinian territories.
The manufactured First Nations on the manufactured reserves.
The manufactured Muslim terrorists in the manufactured mosques.
Never let a perfect crisis go to waste!
Yup. A lefty’s concerns certainly change when his preoccupation becomes his salaried occupation.
Yeah, no sh!t.
Pick anything people choose by their own volition and agency, put yourself at the head of an agency that’s in complete opposite to human nature, gin up the pearl clutchers, protest that the government ‘Do Something!” And presto, job for life.

Any government department who is created to solve a problem will never figure it out because they would be out of work. Too easy to see that. Like, i don’t know, the Dept of Indian Affairs? (or whatever PC name the Libs have tagged it with today)
The more benefits society gives to homeless, the more homeless we will have. Economics 101 – supply and demand. Only an idiot would assume we can be rid of homeless. As long as people value booze, drugs, and cigarettes more than their well being we will have homeless.
When I lived in my hometown of Vancouver, I frequently ranted about the “Poverty Industry” of the Downtown Eastside (aka Skid Row). Over one billion dollars a year is spent there “on programs”. Lots of social workers are employed but things only grow worse. Fix the problem and the Poverty Industry goes away. Can’t have that, can we? 🙁
Agreed, here we have the mayor’s initative to end homelessness (by 2010). He’s stopped talking about it, but it keeps getting funded.
The poverty industry and the renewables industry, the provincial blue ribbon committee industry, and now the mask, sanitizer industry.
“Ever wonder…?”
Nope. We all know the answer. Low IQ leads to bad decisions, bad decisions lead to bad outcomes. This neither can nor should be helped. Thank you.
Well that sums up the entire federal bureaucracy.
Rules and regulations forever.
Canada has these explicit rules,if it is not Permitted(In triplicate),It shall be forbidden.
Never ever,”well there is no law against it,knock yourself out.”.
Nope,no regulations exist? Then you cannot proceed.
A full 1/3 of the workforce depends on making sure the other 2/3 can do nothing.
And yes indeed, their paychecks depend on them never solving the problem(themselves).
This is why Confederated Canada is done.
Buffalo forever.
Round ’em up an’ stampede the parasites East..
No entrenched bureaucracy ever voted itself out of existence; it needs to be taken down by an outsider that it has not been able to corrupt. This explains the Washington establishment, every media and special interest organization, ever “movement”, every advocacy group…and why Americans, desperate For change, voted for Trump. He is the last chance for the US to reform the system by working within its bounds. If he fails or is taken down, desperate voters will turn to someone who will change the system by working entirely outside of it. That seldom turns out well. As Kurt Schlicter likes to say, addressing the left, “Trump is not our last chance, he’s yours.”
