    1. Thanks for sharing that. It truly is hearbreaking.

A few weeks ago I heard a first hand account of a woman who died at a Metro Vancouver hospital under similar circumstances. The doubly terrible thing is that the hospital was prevented from trying any experimental medication such as hydroxychloroquine because it is deemed to be “too dangerous”. Let that sink in for a moment.

      1. Experimental, ya, it’s only been on the market for almost 60 years. Is anyone else sick to “death” of medical people who don’t know medicine or their ass from a hole in the ground.

        1. Hydroxychloroquine is one of the most used drugs in the world and was rated one of the safest before Trump suggested it for the China Flu. Now it is apparently deadly. Are they going to kill tens of millions of malaria patients by convincing them the cure is worse than the disease? They killed tens of millions of malaria patients by banning DDT. But then it doesn’t matter to liberals because most people dying of malaria have brown skin making them only suitable for Canadian jobs that white people refuse to do because the pay is so low.

          1. “Are they going to kill tens of millions MORE malaria patients by convincing them the cure is worse than the disease?”

            Fixed it for ya.

    2. Thanx Boots..

As one who served, this kind of thing very nearly puts me over the edge….
Who indeed thinks there is ANY risk in allowing Family-Friends to A: be with their son in his last moments and B: be denied the RIGHT to be physically present at his Burial and Memorial.

NO ONE that has served – that is for DAMNED sure.
George Carlin was bang on…. ONlY a Complete MORON would think it makes sense to swab a death row inmates arm with Alcohol prior to injecting the Death serum. Yet this is the kind of insanity that appears to prevail in Todays world.

      Disgusting – Sickening
My heart goes out to all the Military – I salute you ALL.

  1. I was looking at my Hawaii pictures yesterday, looking for a decent background for my on-line meetings. Spent much time looking at my Pearl Harbour (Harbor) pics.

Such an amazing collection of museums. America and the Navy you should be very proud of the work done and being done to preserve such important history.

We were touring the Missouri when the Regan passed by with her sailors in white manning the rails. It was one of those once in a lifetime things a prairie boy would never have thought to see.

I remember reading that there was thought in 1999 that docking MO on battleship row would detract from the importance of the Arizona Memorial, for me it provided an important counterpoint. My kids certainly couldn’t fathom that the one memorial was for a sunken ship the same size.

    1. I lived and worked a few years (3) in Vancouver. One of the highlights was the visit of the USS Missouri in 1991. Unfortunately I could not get the time to visit, but the War Birds were in town and I spent an afternoon on the balcony of my North Shore Apt. watching the aircraft (vintage WW 2) patrol down Burrard inlet, climb to height and mock “attack” The Mighty Mo at anchor outside the First Narrows Bridge. Made your hair stand up.

    1. The people are sending a message but, in response, politicians prefer to quote William Techumseh Sherman: “Vox populi, vox humbug.”

    2. The ability to catch a droplet spread disease in the great outdoors is almost nil unless people are swapping spit or having sneezing contests. Speaking moistly would not transfer it to others. Contact or team sports would be different…if you’re worried.
But if you are worried, stay in your hidey hole and STFU.
If you are vulnerable, practice what has been preached.
If you are a snitch-coward please hang yourself.

We need to continue the spread amongst the healthy and get it over with.

      1. Buddy, the virus has a shelf life of zero seconds at 75 f in sunlight, outdoors.

  2. I went on a tour of BB 63 in Seattle when she came home from Desert Storm. She was still in active service and had all the Tomahawk cruise missile launchers intact. What struck me was the low profile. I would have loved to be on her deck while doing 33 knots. Quite a ship.

    1. Built to keep up with and protect the Essex class aircraft carriers and her fleet. Probably the finest battleship ever built.
Her 16″ guns were only eclipsed by the Yamato class 18″ behemoths. But big Mo was faster (and had air cover).
The USN definitely got their money’s worth out of the Iowa class battleships.

      1. However, the class did have limitations due to its beam having to be kept artificially narrow to fit through the Panama Canal – their belt armour and torpedo bulges were likely inadequate. Fortunately, none of the class was ever forced to demonstrate its survivability the hard way.

And a peculiarity of that hull form is that they have four-bladed propellers on the inboard shafts, and five-bladed on the outboards – they suffer turbulence and cavitation vibrations at high speed, and that arrangement gives the least-worst result.

Head-on against Yamato or Musashi, I’d’ve put my money on one of the Iowa’s – especially at night or in bad weather – for a very simple reason; radar gunlaying. They conducted trials on the class postwar, trials that pretty well demonstrated an opposing ship couldn’t’ve gotten away from them. And this advanced ability was unique to the USN and RN throughout WW2, the Washington – Kirishima duel showing what a difference it could make.

Rumour has it that during Desert Storm, the two aircraft for which the Iraqis reserved special hatred were the Warthog – no questions there! – and a little 24-pound ROV that didn’t even have a gun or a bomb. What it did have though, was a TV camera – and it was fire-spotting for the battleships offshore.

        1. Knew a man years ago. He was a Lebanese who was in Beirut when the New Jersey pounded them in the 80’s. He said the shells shook the whole city and the hills around. And everybody was hiding and crawled into any hole they could find. He grew up there and was used to quite a bit of violence but that he said was terrifying. The whole place was quiet and on pins and needles. So I guess being on the receiving end is very bad news

        2. “Head-on against Yamato or Musashi, I’d’ve put my money on one of the Iowa’s – especially at night or in bad weather – for a very simple reason; radar gunlaying. ”

Yes definitely. Add to this, order of magnitude better damage control on Iowa than on Yamato, and the one on one odds are in Iowa’s favor. Essentially, unless Yamato gets some early hits that knock out Iowa’s fire control and engines (so she cannot disengage with damaged fire control) the longer the duel lasts the better Iowa’s odds.

Another huge advantage Iowa had over Yamato was AA and dual purpose secondaries. Aircraft were much bigger threat to surface ships than other surface ships were. And the AA outfit on Iowa was orders of magnitude more effective. The US fire directors for large caliber AA were absolute top of the line. And unlike Japaneses, Americans they had proximity fuses on the 5-inch shells. Also lower caliber AA the 40mm Bofors and 20mm Oerlikon were very good for their time while Japanese 25mm was the single most useless AA gun produced in large numbers during WWII.

          1. Speaking of torpedo bulges, Yamato’s / Musashi’s were nothing to write home about. They had a seam along the side armour that was known by the Japanese to be a weak point – Archerfish put four torpedoes along that seam on Shinano. It must be noted that Musashi shrugged-off 19 torpedoes – but the aviators learned from Musashi and put them all on one side of Yamato, which blew up and sank after seven.

And while Shinano had virtually non-existent damage control, and Taiho’s inexperienced damage control officer made a simple mistake that blew Taiho sky-high, Japanese damage control was quite efficient in-the-main. Shokaku was known as the unlucky sister, getting mauled a couple of times in its career while Zuikaku was sheltering under nearby squalls and got off scot-free as at the Battle of the Coral Sea, but it must be noted that Shokaku’s damage control kept it afloat and brought it back to port – right up until it didn’t. And one of the things they were very prompt about was draining the avgas lines to the hangar deck whenever trouble threatened, which helped save Shokaku from more catastrophic damage on a couple of occasions.

The destruction wrought on three of the Japanese carriers at Midway was largely because they were caught at the worst possible moment – planes being refuelled and torpedoes being rushed-up from the bomb bays while the bombs were winched-off the planes and just stacked out of the way, to be dealt-with later. I read that the Japanese high command took-over a Tokyo hotel for a weekend before sending-out the Pearl Harbor strike, and war-gamed the entire war in the Pacific. They won, of course – but it was reported that the referees wandered the gaming floor, discreetly ‘correcting’ low dice rolls. Too bad for them that they couldn’t do that in real life – the IJN unquestionably rolled snake-eyes at Midway.

          2. The key difference between US and Japanese damage control was that every single sailor on board of a US ship had training in damage control, firefighting etc. Japanese on the other hand relied on specialized damage control parties and if these specialists were wiped out there was none left to take over. Hence some spectacular loses. Internal communication on US ships also tended to operate reasonably well even after the ships sustained severe damage. In Japanese ships it was not the case. The use of voice tubes (!) on Japanese ships did not help the matter either.

Yep, Japanese were very unlucky at Midway. Both sides made numerous mistakes yet in the end they caught up with Japanese more than they did with Americans. It could have went either way and the battle was much closer than the final score suggests. Speaking of luck, rumor has it that when Napoleon was nominating his field commanders he was not interested how qualified they were. His first question was always “Is he lucky?”… people who have the right instinct make right decisions under pressure with limited information and create their own luck… just like Ray Spruance.

P.S. A number of torpedo hits on Musashi was scored while she was already sinking or was damaged to the point that recovery was impossible and would have sunk shortly after.

    2. I heard a story about its sister ship USS New Jersey. It, too, saw action in Desert Storm but as offshore artillery, much like it did during the war in Viet Nam. Its guns were fearsome.

By then, New Jersey used modern technology, and it often sent out surveillance drones to scout for targets and to help with aiming. On-shore Iraqi soldiers soon figured out that when one of those planes was overhead, their position was about to be shelled. Eventually, they learned that it was better to give up and stay alive than to risk being killed, so they surrendered to the drones.  They knew that someone on board the ship would be watching through the on-board camera.

      1. Speaking of drones, I was talking to a pilot in Ontario recently. He raised the specter of a drone maybe responsible for taking down the Snowbird.

Speculation for sure but there are rumors circulating.

        1. I reiterate a law that’s sadly, under-publicized – it’s illegal to operate a drone inside an airport’s terminal control area; which varies but is usually 12 miles from the airport. This can be arranged for trained operators and special events, but the controls on it are rigid for precisely this reason. Because of the aircraft speeds involved, an aircraft-drone midair collision will quite likely crash the aircraft – and there are all those houses down there, whose roofs the owners don’t want flaming airplane wreckage crashing onto. Murder on asphalt shingles…

  3. A law suit against Rachael Maddow gets dismissed.
The judge’s reasoning is based on …. wait for it. ….. because it’s not reasonable to expect “really literally” to mean really literally.
Viva Frie gives a good run down.

    https://youtu.be/e4YdKyxqtJg

My take away is that as a defence Maddow claims she’s fake news.

  4. B.C., where we live, has a population of 5.1 million. As of today, 155 have died from Covid-19, the bulk of whom lived in nursing homes for the aged. Some of those long term care homes have or had questionable sanitary standards. The area in which we live has had a spike of overdoses , thefts, vandalism and fires during the last few months, plus mental health issues have worsened. Still, when families go outside for fresh air and sunshine, some supposedly rational persons are outraged. Get a grip, Canada.

  5. And now your Canadians are racist bastards story for today. Shree at the Toronto Star explains that people who gathered at a Toronto park are racist, because most of them were white.

    1. I love that. Get up, get out and get on with it. We need a million more to gather on parliament hill and tell the politicos that we run this country not them and we are not chattel. I hope anyone who got a ticket tore it up and threw it out.

        1. I have asked people to walk with and no one has said yes. Lonely being an old freedom loving curmudgeon.

      1. Nobody in Ottawa will do that. They all love Trudeau and most work for or because of him.

    1. Not having read it, I assume Deloitte was quizzing people in Toronto? If so, it was probably not coronavirus they were afraid of…

    2. Don’t be racist, just think what would Apu Nahasapeemapetilon do with the Kwik-E-Mart? Most definitely figure something out.

    3. Yea well “they” can Kiss my ASS.
I’m going out today sans mask….off to Ikea (hate that store but need something only they have), then to Costco to fill up my RV’s Propane Tanks & then on to the Local CO-Op Liquor store for a few bottles of Cab Sauv Sanity.

COVID and the FEAR Mongers can go get stuffed for all I care. (Ab ~150 deaths mostly NH residents – SADLY, in a pop of 4.3 Million – I’M TERRIFIED I Tell you.!!!!!)

Say, dontcha just love the utter imbeciles driving around in their OWN Car, wearing a mask..?? As per a meme I read: They are the reason they put Instructions in with PopTarts.

My Motto: Eat your VIt D, Vit C with zinc and let the chips fall where they may. I’ll take my chances with my personal immune system and LIVE my life.

  6. So Buddy, just like the voting percentages the wing nut left are scared to death and we should be too. If there was anywhere to go I would be gone. If I was young I am sure someone would get hurt.

  7. My late uncle served on both the USS Arizona and the Mighty Mo. He transferred off the Arizona shortly before the attack on Pearl Harbor. For more of BB 63, check out the movie Battleship. Critics didn’t like it but it shows the big ship in action. Destroyers and Battleships against aliens? I thought it was great.

    1. I hated that movie, for four reasons –

      1) it was really really stupid

      2) the idea that an unemployed worthless wastrel layabout could become a USN Lieutenant in the space of ~a year

      3) the idea that four people could carry one of its 16″ shells the length of the ship – the lighter of the two shell types available would work-out to 475 lb each, and they’re all nicely painted and slippery – nothing to hold onto

      4) the idea that you could crash-turn a battleship by dropping one of its anchors – the anchor either would not catch the bottom at all or if it did, would rip its chain right out of the shackles, likely doing severe damage to the ship’s bow in the process. Kirishima again – it suffered severe damage that led to its sinking, and one of its anchors fed-out, becoming wrapped around a propeller shaft all the way back at the stern.

      1. It was a movie. There were aliens in it. And you’re bothered by some bending of the truth about the ship?

    2. Yea….Loved that movie..!!
Classic Hollywood – Completely outrageous and total silly Crap
      …and it was Awesome..!!

  8. On the CBC Morning news show today, hosts Heather Hiscox and Michael Serapio spent much time dwelling on the horrors at Trinity-Bellwoods park in Totonto, where mostly lefty Torontonians crowded in the park to get sunshine. As noted everywhere Hizzhonor Mayor John Tory waded into the fray, talking to the offending burghers to try to convince them to social distance.

Hiscox and Serapio then showed another park, one which showed people spaced far apart. The CBC camera kept flicking from this park, to Trinity-Bellwoods, then back and forth repeatedly. The two woke hosts kept on saying “good”, “bad” with each picture, to make sure Ceeb viewers got the message.

Trinity-Bellwoods park left to the forefront of national prominence given that the park represents all of Canada — close as it is to the CBC headquarters building.

    1. David, we should never put down the brainwashing tactics of our illustrious public broadcaster.

  9. Kate,

Ivermectin COVID-19 study should be out soon. Rumors are that the results were good even for people that were very sick. Sorry, no link. Found via Scott Addams Says twitter feed.

Cynically, I think it will get short shrift as Ivermectin, like Hydroxy Chloriquine are well known, established drugs, long out of patent. There is no way for a Pharmaceutical Company to make billions on a generic drug. Yes, I have become that cynical.

Maybe someone should suggest using Hydroxy Chloriquine plus Zinc as a prophylaxis and early treatment, with Ivermectin as treatment if the patient is sicker, and needs hospitalization?

    https://www.msn.com/en-in/news/world/covid-19-cure-in-sight-bangladeshi-doctors-claim-ivermectin-with-doxycycline-can-treat-coronavirus-patients/ar-BB14qHR6?li=AAggbRN

    1. It sure looks that way doesn’t it? People like Fauci dump crap on hydroxy quinone and won’t give it the time of day but start proclaiming that Gilead Sciences remdesivir treatment is going to be the “standard of care, without trials, but won’t even do a proper trial of hydroxy quinone plus zinc ( The physicians who have had great success with hydroxy quinone say it must be combined with zinc be given together for the hydro yank one to be effective. So far all the clinical trials have excluded zinc , using hydroxy quinone alone. Wonder why? Are they afraid the trials may show great effectiveness if they include zinc? )

Which one is under patent? And the elites wonder why no one trusts them, except to serve themselves.

      1. Rd – small c

That has been the Narrative now hasn’t it..??

HCQ is NO GOOD…!!!! so Sayeth the WHO, CDC, FDA Fauci and MSM cabal. And of course cause Orange Man Bad being the underlying narative.

(But…. they never tell you what the dosage was or if it was used in conjunction with Azithromycin and ZINC…Mainly cause they never used that particular combination precisely in order to DEMONIZE HCQ & to promote their Remdesivir)
Of course its about $$$$. It always is. Isn’t that POS Fauci on the board of Gilead.??

I rather “buy” the the reports from places like Bangladesh and India – where there is ZERO coin/incentive to promote New BS drugs & Miracle Vaccines. Where the rush is on to find something within the system of known drugs that present some efficacy against Covid. Good on them..!!

    2. Ivermectin used to be readily available over the counter and it was cheap as potatoes. Once it became the go to treatment for heart worm it suddenly became available by prescription only for dogs packed into incredibly expensive little beef flavoured tabs. There’s no excuse for that because you can still buy it dirt cheap for horses in apple flavour. (Dogs require a much much lower dose, so don’t try it without being very sure you know how to do the math involved.) It’s a scam. Most of drug medicine is about scamming money and making up stupid excuses to charge an arm and an leg. If it turns out that ivermectin works, I’ll order some horse apple flavoured stuff, just in case.

  10. Great Leader Kim Sung Trudeau is back from his taxpayer funded resort at Harrington Lake. He had a wonderful time. Today he throws more money out the door in front of his loyal, drooling media. He also with the help of his NDP and Bloc lapdogs, be ordering parliament how to operate. Its wonderful being a dictator in Canada.

  11. Media reports that of the first 115 cases of the China virus in Canada, one third were muslims travelling from Iran. Happy Ramadan!

    1. I would love to have a link to that article.

I am still stranded in the USA in the safe Coachella Valley, which does not have many deaths, despite the elder golf course Retired residents. I want my pool chairs back, as it will be 100 plus this week. Few planes are available to go back to Canada.

When I get home, I have to quarantine decreed by the feds for 14 days, away from my boyfriend who has a couple of pre-existing conditions. He is living in my home, so I have to kick him out or face a fine. The RCMP may show up at my gate if I do not answer the phone fast enough. They wii have to decide whether to break down the gate or phone twice for entry. I need a new hip and live in a 4 level townhouse, so if I am on my upper patio, I do not hear the land phone, nor can I get to it quickly. No one will get my cell phone number, nor a tracking app ever. I actually use my cell just to keep my kids happy. Usually, I leave it at home to go out, anyway, unless I am meeting my children.

This quarantine project perhaps made sense for incoming travelers from unsafe countries before, but it is ridiculous now. I have self-isolated since early February. Of course, I will be a sheeple, like all good Canadians, and obey, but we will obviously cheat, as free people. It is possible that I could get the virus in Los Angeles on the way home, so I will be careful, but the government decrees and fines are despicable. I hate Trudeau and never listen to him any more. He is the worst PM ever!

I feel that I am living under communism, as we have snitch lines and my neighbours could report a breach. Nazi Germany has arrived in Vancouver, B.c.

    2. Yeah, that little “statistic” was quickly buried….most of the inbound infections weren’t Chinah, but IRAN. Didn’t meet the proper criteria for reporting, I guess. Now, how long has it been since reported? About 4 months?

      1. While I could not confirm the 115 number, it’s clear enough that Iran was propagating the virus early on relative to Canada. Well before Iran claimed to have its first two cases (reported as of Feb 19th!: https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1230962/iran-reports-its-first-2-covid-19-cases )

This Feb 25 story links the 5th casein BC of the China Virus to Iran: https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2020/02/25/iran-may-have-many-more-coronavirus-cases-than-reported-canadian-research-suggests.html
The following from Febuary 26 suggests ontario’s 5th confirmed case also came from Iran. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/coronavirus-ontario-fifth-case-iran-1.5476359

  12. It will surface soon that Enoch Wong is a paid police informant and an officer of China’s People’s Liberation Army.

  13. Interesting studies, what we’ve already known…. the first one finds that in Michigan, the excess death rate is pulling from only the next 1.5 years, on average. So it’s killing people who would have died anyway in the next 1.5 years from something else.
    https://www.medrxiv.org/conte…/10.1101/2020.04.02.20051532v3
We’re taking years and years off of probably millions of peoples lives from stress to try to save a few people a year of their lives. Many of them already almost dead in nursing homes.

Same type of study in sweden: 3 years for men, 2 years for women.

  14. If Doug Ford is serious about his conservatism, he must change this law.

    https://nationalpost.com/news/toronto-cop-fired-after-11-years-on-paid-suspension-but-appeal-keeps-his-salary-flowing

“Under Ontario law, unlike other provinces, suspended police officers
remain on the payroll unless convicted and sentenced to a term of imprisonment.”

Over 11 years, the cop suspected of taking part in drug and gun smuggling, collected about $1,100,000, and he keeps collecting his pay while his appeal is in progress:

“Const. Ioan-Florin Floria’s immediate appeal of the firing decision, however, means he will continue to draw his full salary.”

Toronto police helped organized crime smuggle weapons into Canada:

“Floria was an eight-year veteran of the Toronto’s traffic unit in 2007 when he was among 25 people arrested in Canada and the United States after raids and seizures uncovered cocaine, marijuana, handguns and stolen vehicles.

At the time of the arrests, police alleged Floria searched confidential police databases for information to assist the criminal organization, taught traffickers how to avoid police detection and helped cover up two violent kidnappings by gang members.”

    1. Un-freaking believable. No corruption in Canada eh? Doug will do nothing about anything, he has assumed the mantel of dictator. He will keep pushing because he now knows what absolute power feels like, feels like a liberal, might as well be one.

  15. So this morning(Monday), Canada has now surpassed China,,, in the number of Wuhan Flu cases, by 2000 cases.
Will any media in Canada report this, as they did for 3 days at the time the USA passed the Chinese total? Doubtful, but we could remind them at every opportunity, in comments, or radio phone in shows(because the media seems to believe China).
Also Canada has 1900 more deaths than China !

    1. Blackface needs to be fired, he left the borders open long after everyone else closed theirs.

      1. I do not want him to just be fired and fade into oblivion where he will continue to spend billions in kickbacks.
I want him to be tried and imprisoned for life.

And if you, Carl, believe in the # of cases and deaths reported by China, you might be delusional. China stopped reporting months ago.

        1. I’ve never believed the ChiComs and their numbers,,, but Trudeau believes in the honesty of the ChiComs, Liberals believe them, the Liberal Media especially believes them,,, and are still telling me today “not to be a racist”, “you can’t criticize China” and the best one, “China has been so open and honest with the world about this terrible virus”,,, ya right.
          –
The general point I was making is that, the media won’t state China has be lying all along, and if they ‘re not saying China’s lying, then Canada is doing a terrible job controlling the Wuhan Flu !
          –
BTW, remember the Federal Liberal Government, lead by Trudeau, let every single case(and associated cases) into this country !

          1. Carl states the heart of it, very well in his general point.

MSM will continue to pretend Chi-com-covid stats are accurate,
and by extension their jacket booted responses in Wuhan were the gold standard to follow per WHO/Tedros.

Simultaneously, the MSM will avoid any conclusion Canadian stats reveal about the Trudeau/Tam-WHO criminal negligence, criminal conspiracy begun in January.

Additionally, Trudeau will remain a great & dear leader doing good works

            One last thing:
            HCQ is bad, very bad,
            its Orangeman level bad!

        2. Cit……. I would like to see an audit of Twadels trust fund. A before and after.

    2. Who cares. 99.8% recovery rate. Plus a million could die in China and you would never know.

  16. So the story headline in Sask is there is a racist attack on a 15 year old boy by a 50 year old man. The 15 year old videos it. Wondering why he didn’t phone 911 or ride away. Doesn’t ring entirely as the whole story. Deplorable if it is correct.

  17. Great Leader fresh from having fun at Harrington Lake, conducted his daily parliament on the cottage doorsteps. He reminded everyone to stay home and not have fun. Of course he threw more money out the door. And he talked with his NDP lapdogs and announced that he is working towards two weeks paid sick leave for everyone. Even though that would be a provincial responsibility. Lots of praise from his CBC. The CBC considers him the greatest prime minister in Canadian history. Meanwhile the National Post reports that foreign workers don’t have to show their temporary work permits to collect the federal emergency money.

  18. The Cuckoo Clock left his nest did he? Must have filled up with cuckoo excrement that he didnt know how to clean up!
    Just sayin’

  19. By Victor Davis Hanson, ‘The Doctrine of Media Untruth’…

    —————
The media assures us that failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is a statuesque heroic figure who is an experienced state politician, a successful polymath, and would be a valuable asset as Joe Biden’s vice-presidential pick, but even better—wink-and-nod—a likely next president.

That new media consensus narrative is best typified by a recent and obsequious promo piece in the Washington Post. So given the media deification and the Doctrine of Media Untruth, we might assume that Abrams never has held statewide office, in incoherent fashion could not concede her legitimate defeat in the last Georgia gubernatorial race, and until recently still had not paid off an enormous credit card, student, and tax debt well over $200,000.

In other words, read the media narrative on Abrams and without knowing much else, one could conclude that she is not a photogenic candidate; she is not gracious in defeat; and she is without much experience of victory. Her baggage and lack of even a statewide constituency would mostly hurt a Biden ticket, which explains why his opponents hope that she is the vice-presidential nominee.

  20. And now a review of today’s Unifor news. Trump is Hitler for playing golf. Dementia Joe is wonderful for wearing a mask. Blackie handed out more borrowed money. People should stay home all summer. China is wonderful. Socialism is the answer to all our problems. Indians need more money. Islam is wonderful. Blackie is wonderful. The Liberal Party is wonderful. Canadians are racist bastards.

  21. Justin fanboy John Ivison writes at the National Post about the growing China problem.

  22. “Trudeau sounded as if he still believes mollification is the way to go when he said on Monday that “it will be important for the Chinese government to engage in constructive conversations with the citizen of Hong Kong.””
