Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

From the same youtube channel and also decisively fitting the “Honey, I Finished The Internet” category, behold the story of a giant iceberg and woodpulp aircraft carrier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-8ppT7TYrg
I used to teach courses in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. I sometimes used the story of that project as an example of some of the phenomena that were covered.
None of my students believed me, of course and I doubt that any of them even bothered to look it up, even though the Internet was widely available by the time I taught those courses.
I have read about this project ages ago in some publication dealing with naval history. As Drach have said, “razor’s edge that divides utter genius from complete insanity.” From an enthusiast point of view, pity she wasn’t built.
When I first heard of pie-crete I thought it was a pie that was cooked too long and hard to eat.
Why do I get the feeling that wet pussies afloat has been the subject of many a gender studies major B.S. or Piled-Higher deeper (PHd)?
