Calling Captain Dialogue

GO train service in Hamilton, Aldershot and Niagara is disrupted this morning as demonstrators and supporters continue to block one of the main rail lines in Hamilton.

About 10 protesters remained blocking the railway off York Boulevard in support of Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs early Tuesday morning. This occupation on the train tracks forced GO Transit to cancel service at Niagara Falls GO, St. Catharines GO, Hamilton GO and West Harbour GO stations this morning.

“about 10”.

  1. Go for it. It is long past time to take the struggle to the GTA and remind those imbeciles the natural outgrowth of their policies. 2 generations ago or so corporal punishment was driven out of the school system and now teachers are concerned about unmanageable classrooms.

    1. Nobody ever said these morons had one clue. Useful idiots is what they were called by Lenin.
      Keep on blockading Canaduh, Retards!!!!!!

  2. Good.
Block it all and shut it all down for months.
Let people go broke and get hungry.
There is no other way that Canadians will ever figure out the connection between voting for idiots and electing idiots who allow the economy to be destroyed by a few nuts.
Logic sure as hell doesn’t work.

Cause and effect is not a concept that liberals can understand.

“The government consists of a gang of men exactly like you and me. They have, taking one with another, no special talent for the business of government; they have only a talent for getting and holding office. Their principal device to that end is to search out groups who pant and pine for something they can’t get and to promise to give it to them. Nine times out of ten that promise is worth nothing. The tenth time is made good by looting A to satisfy B. In other words, government is a broker in pillage, and every election is sort of an advance auction sale of stolen goods.” ~ H. L. Mencken

  3. People at the Hamilton blockade merrily burned the injunction when it was given to them. Maybe they are upset because the police didn’t give them a gift of maple syrup like the OPP did at the other blockade.

      1. We don’t have any laws a judge, crown attorney, the cops or a combination thereof can’t ignore to serve their masters.

Go for it …. a great idea.

  5. I was kind of hoping the riders would disembark from the train and beat the crap out of the protestors. Just a dream perhaps.

  6. The OPP are dedicated to living off the general public by issuing tickets to generate revenue for their bloated salaries and pensions. Screw upholding the law when it gets difficult

  7. If the protesters who endanger the Canadian economy are Canadian citizens, they should be jailed for sedition. If they’re not Canadian citizens, they should be deported. If they’re indians, their tribe should have its funding cut off. The police who refuse to enforce court injunctions should be fired and their pensions confiscated. Those who endanger my country’s welfare are the enemies of my country. TWANLOC.

  8. Because we all know the wishes of 10 people who don’t have jobs to go to supersede the needs of hundreds of others to get to their jobs.
If the 10 people are lefties, that is.

  9. Yup “Captain Dialog”, that sums this idiot up in two words. The media tells idiots that still believe their lies that everyone hates Donald Trump, but he fills a 125,000 seat arena in India , with Modi and the Indian govt. sent the assistant janitor at the Taj Mahal to meet Canada’s sparkle socks clown. Thanks maritimes and Toronto.

  10. This is becoming a tough situation, with Justin Trudeau doing very little, and his corporate media allies actually supporting the lawlessness. This when a global pandemic is now on. My wife and have agreed to stock up on food and toiletry staples, we think hings could get worse.

Someone somewhere mentioned that the Emergency Act has replaced the War Measures Act. Someone on the SDA board should research what the Emergency Act contains. We may need to use it. I say this as someone –in my fifth week entering Canada — who had his room searched in then-Hull, Quebec, in October 1970, the night Pierre Laporte was killed.

  11. Just heard another nut bar on the radio this morning demanding that Canada begin dialogue ‘nation to nation’. If that is the ultimate goal in all these demonstrations and blockades then perhaps it is time to deal ‘nation to nation’. There are what 600 tribes, clans, or whatever in Canada. A nation is only a nation if the people within its defined border can support and defend themselves from threats either domestic or foreign, that has been the very definition of nationhood for millennia. So lets get down to brass tacks, the natives of North America were essentially groups of hunter gatherers when the European invasion began. They did not for the most part have delineated boundaries, how could they when they had no written language. In that vein lets come to an agreement, we allow the Indigenous tribes to agree among themselves what areas of Canada they want to lay claim to. When they come to an agreement they present their demands to the rest of Canada (that should take another 400 years) and we, as good Canadians, submit and accept these demands and then we set up border controls and passport papers for these areas. We cut off all funds to all of these ‘nations’ and allow them to be self reliant. This solution as most would agree could never work, as difficult to implement as getting all of the ‘nations’ to agree in the first place. So the simple solution is to require all Indigenous natives here to swear allegiance to Canada as all new immigrants requesting citizenship do. After all the Indigenous peoples are only illegal immigrants that came here before there was anybody else that could object to them coming. Or did the original illegal immigrants wipe out the truly native population that was here first, as was the common practice among mankind before we developed compassion.

    1. Let’s grant these so-called indigenous peoples unfettered allodial title to their lands, with the understanding that they become self reliant and all federal rights and obligations will end.
They will soon figure out that hunting and fishing won’t sustain the subsidized life style they are accustomed to. And time to put the land to better use.

    2. Antenor, you forgot these varied bands and groups have already submitted claims of land ownership that exceeds the actual square miles of all lands in every Province! We would need to add about two hundred Vancouver Islands to the country just to cover all the land claims, and the rest of us would still have nowhere to live!

  12. What the media is not telling the public:

I’m a regular commuter on GO Transit, Lakeshore West, from the Halton Region (Burlington/Oakville).

I can tell you that last night our scheduled commuter 5:30pm train from Toronto’s Union Station to Hamilton came to a halt in Oakville at 6:00pm, well short of Hamilton, and we were only told that there was an unspecified problem.

A quick search in twitter (because no one else was reporting the issue with any clarity) showed that the train line had been blocked in Hamilton since 4:30pm. But Metrolinx/GO Transit would only parrot “we’ll tell you more when we know more”. I had to make an argument to be picked up by a relative as they were arguing that the Go Transit website was showing just a 15 minute delay (rather than trains cancelled). The Hamilton bound train I got off from in oakville was cancelled and service terminated at Oakville at 6:10.

This morning at Bronte GO my regular eastbound train was cancelled. I soon found out that at least five rush hour trains had been cancelled this morning. The crowding was so bad that not a single passenger could get on the train at Clarkson, at least not as far as I could see.

There is no mention of these problems in most, if any, of the media articles talking about the line blockade at Hamilton.

From the media and GO Transit website, you would think the issue only affects Hamilton and Niagara, but the cancelled services are much more serious than that and affect all GTA commuters in the Lakeshore West line, regardless of distance to Hamilton.

And you know what I think about 2/3 of my fellow GTA train commuters? Suck it up, buttercup Trudeau and NDP voters.

  13. Today in Question Period the Liberals blamed Harper for the Teck mine cancellation. We knew that was coming. The Bloc leader from Quebec trashed the Conservatives, and told Blackie that he should order the police not to intervene with the blockades, and he should go to B.C. and give them free stuff. Meanwhile elsewhere in lawless Canada the Hamilton police told the media they are monitoring the blockade of Go trains. And wonderful interview on a Toronto TV station of two fat indian women at the Caledonia blockade ranting about “settlers”. But Blackie is doing something. He introduced legislation today to make it easier for Canadians to commit suicide.

  14. He introduced legislation today to make it easier for Canadians to commit suicide.

    He should lead by example.

  15. “Police are asking for the public’s patience. ”

I’m wondering why they don’t just pick these ‘about 10’ to jail for public annoyance? What the heck police know we don’t?
