The Israelis want to move the Palestinians in a direction that they don’t want to go, and Palestinians want to move the Israelis in a direction that they don’t want to go. An intractable situation – there’s is no hope for compromise, as has been proven time and time again.
Was watching the press conference on this on Fox News Channel when they decided to cut to a couple of talking heads, later joined by a third, in the middle of the PM of Israel’s comments. Their topic? Soon: Impeachment Trial resumes. As if anyone cared about their views on anything when a story this big was breaking.

It would be easy, and very advantageous for political bedfellows Palestinian Islamists and US Democrats, to dismiss this proposal out of hand, given previous failures of other presidents. But there has never been a president like Donald Trump.
There was no chance he could become POTUS with “no path to victory.” There was no chance of defanging NK or Iran without war.
There was no chance Mexico would be brought to heel with their border, or of China making substantive trade concessions.
Donald has a way of proving his detractors wrong. As he stated, Israel/Palestine peace is the gold standard of impossible goals.
So is there some hope for the Palestinian people as Trump offers to spare them the scourge of terrorism everywhere?

I must say that any fool who believes there will ever be peace with islam is indeed a fool of Biblical proportions.
The only peace plan one can imagine being accepted by Palestinians is total victory for them. So this whole business of Middle East peace is and always has been a non-starter. You can have temporary agreements or faits accomplis, but peace as we might understand the term will only come after the second coming. We can be quite sure that no human effort will bring it about because the two sides have rival claims to the same land, yet to this day they have not fought an all-out war to establish in the usual human fashion complete dominance over the other. So that allows the Palestinians to dream of total victory, something that seems very unlikely (as well as undesirable). You can’t fault Trump for trying in this arena, but the plan appears to be just some chest-thumping for his buddy Netanyahu and his faction in Israeli politics. It will go nowhere and be forgotten in a few weeks. Seems like the real reason for it is to create further discord among his Democratic opponents. They will likely take a negative stand which will not look all that great to swing voters who of course would like to see middle east peace, what sane person wouldn’t, but that’s of course the problem, there are few actually sane people to make peace.
There will be no peace with Israel because its enemies refuse to accept even the most minimal of requirements for peace (i.e. Israel must continue to exist). You get 99% of what you want but you can’t kill the Jews is a non-starter for the Palestinians.
The filthy little stuttering Canadian Lester Pearson & Judge Rand’s total incompetence created the UN (Turds) acceptance of the refusal by the Palestine to even negotiate… The pair twice went to the UN with their decision to award Israel ALL the Territory and evict Palestine … The UK insisted on an agreement…..WHY?

Funny how Israel is the only one of two countries where Palestinian women would have rights and privileges to enjoy.

The Trump strategy usually employs a carrot to the common folk with the stick being saved to deploy on their oppressors.
Look at how he handled Iran as an example.
Any violent act that is perpetrated against Israel will likely end up costing a high level Palestian operative their life.

The Arab world cannot meaningfully win a war with an Israel willing to apply the Samson Option. Meanwhile, thanks to President Trump, the US is self-sufficient in oil. The Arab petro-tyrannies no longer have any leverage over the United States, and have nothing left to gain from the United States doing the right thing by the Jewish people.
This plan, though, is just a start. The long-term goal of any peace plan must be the restoration of the entire Land of Israel to the Jewish people, and the expulsion from the land of the Palestinian Arabs.
Where will the Palestinians go? say the hand-wringers. A question that never came up whenever a European prince expelled his country’s Jews. Perhaps the Chinese will take the Palis for use as spare parts. All I ask is that they be kept out of Canada at all costs.
“Where will the Palestinians go?” Why not Canada, the Indians now have Aboriginal Title to all Crown Lands (although the SCC think “they” created Aboriginal Title that can only be used to provide a legal right / standing/ to use the Courts) The International Court may find that the SCC is wrong and that the Indians can Negotiate with Palestinians for suitable Crown Lands… WIN Win…. Two observations:

This involves Israel giving up land which God expressly forbids. Previous leaders have not done well when this happened.
