The use of the word “negro” was obviously a micro-trigger which clearly demanded the deepest heartfelt micro-apology.
Outrage is only effective if you keep changing the standard. About ten years ago, I met an Eskimo and she said to me, “I’m an Eskimo.” I suspect she used those words because she wanted me to know what she actually was. I’m sure when she said Inuit she got blank states. Negro was always the preferred inoffensive term, merely meaning “black” in Latin languages. Some stupid people will go out of their way not to say the word Jew using Hebrew instead. I always make a point of using the term Indian (feather) instead of substitutes because that was always the preferred term when they referred to themselves until very recently when some consider it offensive. It’s all part of the strategy of being perpetually offended. We call Magyars Hungarians and if the don’t like it they can go eff themselves and their fat Hungarian asses. Same with the perpetually offended people. Being primarily German, my preferred terms for Germans are Squarehead, Goose-stepper, and Jew Killer depending on usage. Only small people can get insulted by what others call them.

The Northern and Central parts of Israel collapsed before the Southern Kingdom of Judea, which lasted a few hundred years longer. It is from Judea where the term “Jew” comes from, but accurately, it doesn’t encompass Samaritans or Galileans, who are Hebrews.

Hebrew is a member of an ancient people living in what is now Israel and Palestine and, according to biblical tradition, descended from the patriarch Jacob, grandson of Abraham. After the Exodus ( c. 1300 BC) they established the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, and their scriptures and traditions form the basis of the Jewish religion.
As well it is old-fashioned and sometimes offensive term for Jew.

I wanted to make sure you knew who you are referring to.

I would wager a 24 of beer it was initiated by white liberal, woke, entitled, “Progressive” (Ministry Of Truth definition) moral-preening bigots, that see blacks, Negroes. Persons of Colour etc, as their personal stepping-stones to righteousness and proof of their piety to the gods of egalitarianism and diversity. I found “The Conservation of Races” by W E Burghardt Du Bois an interesting read, and likely the kernel the NAACP sprang from. Today he would likely be called an Uncle Tom or worse for advocating taking responsibility for your actions.
