    Barrett, Air Force leaders applaud Space Force’s formal creation

    Secretary of the Air Force Barbara M. Barrett praised the formal creation of the U.S. Space Force Dec. 20, identifying it as a critical capability in defending the nation and pledging that the first new branch of the military since 1947 would be established with speed and clarity of purpose.

    “The launch of an independent U.S. Space Force propels us into a new era dedicated to protecting U.S. national interests and security in space,” Barrett said. “We will work with (Department of Defense) leaders, Congress, our joint military teammates, industry and our national security partners as we establish the Space Force to ensure continued American leadership in space.”

    1. Call me any label you feel appropriate but I say YES to population control. I have many reasons for my stance but short of writing a book they are too many for this site. I summarize them thusly:

      Quality of life
      Automation
      Improving genetics of humans
      Conservation of nature

      I could write chapters on each of these.

      Visit India, Haiti, China, Africa, New York, San Francisco, Bangladesh …..
      Western and Nothern Canada are not representative of the world.

    Miraculously, it snows. Because Sobeys is good for the climate apparently.

  6. I wonder if Unifor members will actually start wondering if prime minister Dias the union leader, actually cares about them. After being part of the new free trade talks, spending millions on getting Blackie re-elected, and spending money trashing Doug Ford, what has the union achieved. The GM plant in Oshawa has now closed while thousands of auto worker jobs are being created in the States, and thousands of Unifor members are being laid off in Nova Scotia, as his favourite political party the Liberals close down a pulp paper plant to make indians happy. Not that you will hear anything negative about Unifor from Blackie’s bought and paid for media, because the journalists belong to Unifor.

  7. Merry Christmas from China! Blackie’s CBC has the story of a supermarket chain in the UK, that has suspended deliveries of Christmas cards etc from its supplier in China. A customer found a note among Christmas cards she bought, from a prisoner in a Chinese prison for foreigners. It pleads for help as prisoners are forced to labour for factories there.

    1. Surely the CBC should be investigating the note, and not just reporting on dropping the Christmas card supplier. This is a serious issue. A number of years ago, a true story of mal treatment in Chinese prisons came to light due to a note smuggled out in a similar fashion. The person discovering the note pursued the story and managed to resthe cue the individual.
