  1. Not sure what Iran’s goals are; I hope the US enemies doesn’t push Trump into involvement. Also, this will leave Iran more vulnerable to domestic uprisings.

    Ira n would be a great place if it threw of the muslim yoke.

  2. I hesitate to comment on this story because as much as I have watched and learned about the Middle East these past few decades, I still do not claim to be knowledgeable of the endless tribal nuances that seem to influence everything that happens there.

    That said, I just wanted to share my relief that Trump is commander and chief at this time. And if anyone told me 4 yrs ago that I would one day be making that claim, I would have collapsed on the floor in a laughing heap.

    Speaking of Iran, why is it in Canada we can only find dates imported from that place in most grocery stores?
    Why too are drugs and foodstuff being imported from China? I found garlic from China in my grocery store!

    1. A lot of your groceries could be from China. Always check labels. Sometimes the labels use weaselly words to hide the fact that they are from China because they know a lot of people won’t buy Chinese products given a choice.

    2. Medjool dates from the Coachella Valley in CA are terrific. The primary “ advantage “ of Iranian dates must be that buying them supports a terrorist state.

  6. Anyone who reads books by Spencer, Geller, Ibrahim, Steyn, Hirsi Ali would know to never get involved with the islamic world. It has always been a cesspool of tribal factions bent on killing, destruction and death. Until the oil money began to flow to SA, Iran and others they were sitting in the sand with their camels beating up their wives and children. We now have 765,000 muslim voters in Canada with 1.3 muslims and growing daily. This should all end well for Canada, sarc off.

    1. Me against my brother, my brother and I against our cousins, my family against your family, my tribe against yours, my country against yours. Iran is obviously up to no good yet again. That does not mean we should get involved. Let the Syrian dictator deal with them using some of his barrel bombs and gas. The only good jihadi is a dead one and if they are killing each other, they aren’t killing us.

        Me thinks the Iranians are setting up camps to have forward bases to attack Israel better. And I think they are in for one hell of a surprise, as Israel is ready for them. Israel has been attacking and destroying their forward supply line since things calmed down in Syria. The Jews are not stupid people, they know and are ready for this.

      Not from about the 8th century to IIRC the 12th century. Back then the Islamic world was a place to be. Then it went to hell.

  8. I’ve been to both Iraq and Iran, and was in Saudi during their war.

    Can recall saying to someone that I didn’t care who won, as long as there were lots of casualties.

  10. As world oil supplies continue to grow the influence of the ME declines. Middle Age societies with enough wealth to create major problems. The USA is slowly disengaging.

    As we enter a USA election year I am positive there will be multiple global efforts to finish Trump off. The list of countries is large, many global businesses are threatened by his policies, and of course the deep state Democrats. Can Trump survive all these threats? Odds are against him. Globalization is the greatest scheme to redistribute wealth yet devised other than global warming. Progressives don’t do this out of good will it is all about power. What place would most of these people have if not this. At the end of the day they have to have their rice bowl.

    1. Yup. The them are on the case. 2020 is when it’s all supposed to go tits up. Lots of cash being hoarded across Europe, gold price suppressed. DB about to become history, unless every obedient European Citizen stumps up their pension. Stocks inflated by easy borrowing to buy back. Inflation, maybe. Hyperinflation, maybe not. Do you hoard in case prices rise, or do you save in case prices fall? Interesting times? I should say so.

  11. If you have just a little advanced knowledge of refinery attacks, military movements and threats, even (accidental) disruptions/fires, you could make a lot of money in the markets. Not that anyone would or could do that.

  12. Finally, Iran is realizing her place as the region’s dominant power. Maybe the reality of Trump’s foreign policy is to simply allow Iran to naturally assume the role she was always destined for.

Trump has the Turks Now… The Special forces only need to capture a small group of the Iran invaders & turn them over to the Turks for interrogation (Worked in Korea)… The Turks always get valid information & they return the NEW/old Prisoners to Iran… The Tanks will RUN home, or be left in the Desert…..

  13. You do remember that there’s an American army in Iraq, don’t you? At least a division’s worth with heavy air support. That that army killed a half million or so Iraqis, razed several cities, and took over the oil fields? That they’ve been there 16 years? What are the Iranians going to do? Liberate Iraq?

  14. All of this is a play by Iran to get American sanctions eased or lifted, nothing more.
    Lebanon is concerning though. It is a potential launching place for an attack on Israel.(Israel will fix their little red wagon right quick)

    1. It’s a testament to Israel’s fundamental decency and aversion to war that they haven’t nuked Syria and Iran, and have had true peace with Jordan and Egypt for decades, and a rapprochement with Saudi Arabia.

    The more armed forces that leave Iran, the better the ability of the citizenry to rebel.
    Increased expenditures by Iran on military expenses will further push Iran into economic default and collapse.
    Trump must continue to pressure the evil and traitorous Europeans and others against their continued trade with Iran and their financing of Iran’s banks and government.
