      They ran out of limos in Copenhagen the last time that crowd was there, and they had to import more from Stockholm. I suppose Madrid is big enough not to have that problem.

      1. Yesterday Sheila showed up early, before 10 am, to view the delegates arriving at the Climate Conference. There were 2 buses with students but most people arrived in Taxis. Only a few used the subway which was adjacent to where the convention hall is. They surely don’t practice what they preach.

        1. What, they arrive in taxis and not limos? Maybe somewhere in the back of their minds they may really believe there is a tiny teeny possibility that humans do affect climate? Nah, probably the streets of Madrid are too congested for limos.

        Your link proves how their “Agenda” works. They want to cull people. The fat and sodium content in those supposedly healthier burgers are horrendous! Yikes! How can one not feel sluggish after consuming one of those?

        Last year I wrote about my visitor who was a vegan while at UBC who no longer practices veganism. She now eats a Mediterranean diet.

        We all need the “healthy fats” and “B” vitamins (especially) for brain health along with a healthy balanced diet. It’s been proven that many vegans are apparently not comsuming enough of the B vitamins. Some, who became aware, take supplements.

  10. The Globe and Mail prides itself as the newspaper representing Canada’s left-wing elites, otherwise known as the Laurentian establishment. The moribund newspaper has strongly opposed populist movements and politicians everywhere. It did cover the recent British election, and only in the last several days of the campaign did it attack Boris Johnson.

    All of this is to say that, with its large battalion of left-leaning opinion writers, the Globe this Saturday has no article — opinion or news — on the recent election. None whatsoever. Surprising that, since a successful Brexit will mean a path-breaking change to the European Union, or perhaps the beginning of the dismemberment of the undemocratic leviathan EU. Here in North America, few establishment media are discussing this.

    One thing I worry about is the corrupt, left-wing judicial system in Britain holding up Brexit beyond the January 32 deadline. One hopes the British tradition of respecting the will of the people prevails.

  11. All of Blackie’s media is outraged about Clint Eastwood’s new movie. Even Groper’s CBC trashed it. How dare he make a movie that has a negative view about a female journalist. And how dare he show a negative view of the media in it. Its obviously a movie worth seeing. In other news, Blackie’s media continues to insist that the replacement for Scheer must be from Quebec, support abortion, gay rights, and global warming scams. You would almost think they had planned all this.

    2. You would almost think that they think that they have a say in who the next Conservative leader is. They do not, and a new leader from Quebec would pretty much sink the Conservatives, and the country as well.

    3. The fuss about the new Eastwood movie is interesting. Those attacking have decided that the film presents a negative stereotype of women journalists, basically over its portrayal of one woman journalist. A woman named Kelly McBride of some journalism association is especially livid. She has this to say:

      The straw they finally grasped for “impeachment” was Ukraine, specifically “quid pro quo.”

      What image does quid pro quo evoke? In more down to Earth American, they used to say, rub my back and I’ll rub yours. It is using your position of influence for personal benefit. To give an example: sell enriched uranium to a foreign dictator, and receive donations to your foundation. But what did they charge Trump of doing? (Which charge is false, by the way, even if it is not, what Trump did was completely legit.) Asking the Ukrainian president to investigate evidences of corruption in American-Ukrainian deals from his end. Bear in mind America and Ukraine has exactly such a treaty, to help investigate corruption. It was signed by Clinton. It was the Ukrainian president who brought up the name of Hunter Biden and Burisma. And yes, that relationship definitely merits investigation.

      The Democrats accuse him of asking for persecution of a political enemy, as though running for president gives you immunity. Of course, it is entirely possible they believe that, as they believe being an illegal alien gives you immunity from prosecution for crimes. But no intelligent person not knee deep in leftist politics would. And an American president investigating corruption involving foreign powers is not asking for quid pro quo. He is doing his job, what he was elected to do.

      As for the Freeland Lady, she’ll be practicing to be Prime Minister.
      She will be delegating everything to the Secretaries’ secretaries to do the “heavy lifting” (if that’s possible) and on her own, she’ll be with speech writers, writing, memorizing and practicing (in the mirror) (obfuscatory) replies for the boring, repetitive, daily Question Period in the House of Commons and for the announcements at the podium to the bought MSM. Of course, she’ll also be doing double duty — screaming at her kids on the phone (in Ukrainian).

  18. Hey, Kenji, Leicester is now ten points adrift. But still, next Saturday in the City-City matchup, I’ll root for a draw first, then a Manchester City victory over Leicester City. To finish off the first round robin, Leicester has (or should have) clear sailing outside of Manchester City. But Manchester City still have four matches (three to finish the first round robin, and one to begin the next one) consecutively against teams all in the top nine: Arsenal, Leicester City, Wolves, and Sheffield. And MC’s record against the other teams in the top 9 has been dismal: L Liverpool, W Chelsea, L ManU, L Wolves (first round robin), D Tottenham.
    P.S. I love Norwich City. They lose big to Liverpool but took five points from MC and LC. I hope they escape relegation. For that, there is still a long season ahead.
