I’m guessing, but a Republican appointed Chief Justice is unlikely, on legal principles, to allow one iota of hearsay evidence at the Senate trial. He will also allow not one case of conjecture or second guessing. It will be a really short trial because the Democrats have nothing else. The big bonus would be the examination of Joe and Hunter Biden and any other Democrat remotely connected to Ukrainian corruption. That could be a lot of fun. Proving that Trump was right to investigate the Bidens is a valid defense. The Democrats would be stupid to send this to the Senate but stupidity seems to define the Democrats.
