Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Trudeau says Bernier is ‘only on the stage to say publicly what Mr. Scheer only says privately.’
Scheer goes right after Trudeau on [ingnoring] the first question … calling him a phoney unfit to govern the country. Elizabeth
May: I’d like to answer the question, unlike what we just heard.
(Sounds like there was laughter in the room.)
Yeah, that was a mistake on Scheer’s part, ignoring the question and instead making a personal attack on Trudeau.
“Trudeau says Bernier is ‘only on the stage to say publicly what Mr. Scheer only says privately.’” I wonder who wrote that script for the POS actor to recite (Butts) and I wonder how long he’s been rehearsing that line… fake, phony POS. Turdhole and Buttface should be in jail instead they continue as if they didn’t break the law and aren’t stopping the RCMP from investigating them… only in Canader… The only people worse than corrupt Liberals are their Media pets… scumbags all.
Did Scheer mention the 17 year old problem?
Of course he didn’t. That would have taken courage Andy doesn’t possess.
He didn’t even dwell on the blackface for long.
I tried to watch but could not stand the crap! Polite way of saying pasture fertilizer.
“I tried to watch but could not stand the crap!”
Yeah, the extremist stupidity hurts the eyes and ears.
I had on the NFL Monday night pre-game and the game, and boycotted the debate. After all the Debates Commission has done, the heck with them.
May I suggest the next time you watch Trudeau you play the drink game. Every time Justin says Harper you get a drink.
Or play the Harper and Ford version. Get drunk twice as fast.
And now a review of the debate if you were not watching. Alberta is evil and its oil industry must be shut down. Quebec is special and can do whatever the hell it wants. Just keep sending them money. Blackie spent most of his time urging voters not to vote for Doug Ford and Harper. And most of the debate was about global warming scams.
Thanks for the succinct recap, John. Glad I watched something else last night.
I literally fell asleep! Coulda wasted a good nap.
scheer had the best line near the end to trudeau
If your so interested in Doug Ford there is an open seat in the ontario liberal party why dont you go and run for it
something like that I need help with the exact quote
Zinger even the audience thought it was good bythe way they clapped
Did not notice camera reeaction on trudeau
i thought Scheer won the debate and man did he make bernier stumblebummble at the end too and shut him down
Could not get over trudeaus flubs calling Singh scheer, Scheer and singh played it right too making trudeau look like the fool he is.
All trudeaus answer were the same scripted we have heard in the HOC for 4yrs and on the campaign trail
Scheer looked and sounded the most PM appealing the the common guy.
Trudeau did not make any points judging by audience reaction to the insult he said to scheer near the start of debate.
Pretty well the best line of the night and pretty obvious, Scheer had to say it and did. Trudeau had that sick look on his face, made no attempt to answer
A charade from start to finish.
All Scheer had to do to win was ignore the moderators who wanted to talk about Saint Greta and insist that Justin answer a few simple questions:
How many rich schoolgirls did Justin screw when he was supposed to be teaching?
What did the prime minister offer their daddies in compensation? Was it taxpayer money, or immunity from prosecution for crimes for which normal people are locked up for decades at a stretch?
As it was, he didn’t even dwell on the blackface that long.
Unless he has evidence the most he can do us ask him why he left mid-term – was there a letter of resignation? Etc.
But that SHOULD have been asked by the media already…
Bernier is the Bernie Sanders of Canadian Conservativism.
He says publicly what a vast majority of conservatives agree with but know they would never get elected if they did so. Such is the reality of a country that is 60%+ left of centre.
It’s a very good thing he never won the cpc leadership race (and I voted for him…)
Scheer kisses Islamist asses and promises to bring in a million more just like Trudeau. Scheer supports the UN. Scheer does not support free speech see CPC MP Cooper….
Voting CPC is the same as a Leftist voting liberal.
LibCons same Globalist political policies and platforms that are mirrored so well you can’t tell the difference between them.
Scheer made Cooper apologize for calling out a lying Islamist blaming the Christschurch massacre on conservatives meanwhile the truth was the murdering bastard was in support of Communist China and to top it all off Scheer allowed the corrupt Liberals to wipe from the legal house commons record what Cooper said as if it never happened.
Voting for Scheer will in-prison you and all who you love.
Get off the LibCons Circus-Merry-Go-Round…
Vote PPC
Agree… vote Max/PPC!!!
I am very fearful that Max will split the vote. We must get rid of the idiot first, then focus on perhaps improving the CPC leadership. If the idiot only gets a one term in office, he’s done, and won’t be back to haunt us again. He’s really gotta go!
Bernier made a complete fool of himself, rudely interrupting every other person on the stage. He looked the ignorant buffoon.
I can see the CPC is better off with Bernier NOT being their leader. The BQ at least showed a sense of humor. Imo, Scheer did well, so did Singh, even May sounded more professional than Bernier.
Trudeau did his usual baffle ’em with your bullshit routine though Scheer did get a couple of good zings in on him.
don morris –
You wrote: “Bernier made a complete fool of himself, rudely interrupting every other person on the stage.”
That was the BQ leader, who talked over everybody else. (Perhaps you need glasses?)
Angel – I see you don’t disagree with my point. That says a lot.
When is your expiry date, f**ktard.
And don’t call me a shill for Scheer to try to deflect.
You’re nothing but a shit stain on a bridal bedsheet.
Moderators? Robert? Kate? I find this comment to be beyond the pale…
That’s because you’re just another Maxbot. Go perform a certain anatomically impossible act and take Angel and all his alter egos with you.
No actually I have no use for Max, or any of the other leaders.
But at the point that commenters stoop to violent, sexist, degrading or (and…) vulgar insults on one another in a public forum like these two are doing, if it were my blog I’d invite them to carry-on their feud elsewhere. As Kate has warned commenters on her blog more than once.
Just sayin’…
What Buddy has said is not controversial of vulgar at all. It is a justified reasoned response to a spammer. As we all know spammers are not human beings, and as such, none can be accused of abusing another as there is no another.
A leader does not follow the crowd. With Scheer, you will continue the bullsh|t about “OMG the planet is on fire.He proudly admits to rising costs for people because of this, and following the UN in general. We have become a vassal of the UN with these wankers.
Max is controlled opposition. After Max lost the leadership race, someone put him up to pretending to be a principled conservative to tip marginal seats towards the Libranos.
He probably didn’t need too much arm-twisting—his contempt for Andy seems genuine enough.
Andy’s best line of the night was actually his pointing out how Max changes ideologies every few years. Feeling is mutual, apparently.
The only controlled opposition is your post.
You say A Canadian but in reality your a UN Globalist Islamist Drug Dealer…
Oh and on your bull of Max changes ideologies every few years.

Please. Go away after the election. Maybe inhale a K-bec cock till you pass out. Or go drink a case of Labatt 50, shoot a moose then speak hillbilly Fwench till somebody bitch slaps you into silence.
They will just unplug the bot and it will quit spamming, quite possibly mid sentence. Regardless of the result Butts and his little Aladdin will have no more use for it same goes for the Gran Maxipad.
Better stock up on spam and BigRock…this “country” is done. If Alberta chooses to stay in canuckistan after all those attacks we deserve every bit of poverty that will be foisted upon us!
I’m voting for Max this go around, and after this election all my donations and votes will be going towards getting a credible separatist party off the ground. I’m looking at Wexit recently as seemingly rational and serious folks.
Had a funny call from CPC today looking for donations. I said I was disappointed in Scheer to which the caller replied…”he hasn’t even had a chance to disappoint you yet.” Aka: “Hold my beer.” Hahaha. Love it.
Warren posts by the score & no content:
Scheer and Singh bromance. It’s happening
Trudeau has not won a single exchange.
Two campaign planes!
Harper! Drink!
ETC.
Kinsella?
Well, the winner was the guy with the orange hat. He went after Trudeau and he can expect to collect the votes of many disillusioned Liberals. Max did great but is still in a foreign language and thus was a bit inhibited. However, all the other 5 “leaders” were all offering variations on the same themes: boutique taxes; free everything; oh, and did they mention the climate emergency?
Most people not political junkies would have turned off after 30 minutes. The not answering questions, arguing over unrealities and childish bickering would have done it. The most bizare thing I felt about it was all of them, except Bernier, not actually having anything to say, spoke about the imminent threat of the CLIMATE EMRGENCY. rest assured, this is not the subject of conversation at Tim Horton’s.
I think this election will result in the lowest turnout ever; a red/green alliance (sorry Singh, too dangerous for the Libs).
Oh, and a further thought. Keep you lawn and arterial signs, there wil be soon another election.
We can only hope Robert. Though, I dont trust either Meethead or Trugroper, an unholy alliance is always possible.
Dont look now, but the polls are sliding Groper’s way, the Libs are approaching majority territory, by the skin of their teeth. This country is so fecked
Actually even latest Nanos showed Conservatives in the lead
I’m pleased that the PPC candidate has striking LARGE campaign posters here in my riding.
“Max did great”
LOL.
” but is still in a foreign language and thus was a bit inhibited. ”
Yet another reason why he is unfit to lead.
It would seem that the politicians are hell bent on this damn climate change hyper hysteria.
Has it ever occur to them that the in the global scheme of things the humans or hupeople as the airhead would want you to say, cannot change the climate no how, no way, no can do.
Cannot change for better or worse, there is no steady state of climate. The climate will change regardless of what the politician think about it, to proclaim that they can do it is so bombastic, so stupid, so ignorant it boggles the mind.
On the other hand they likely know that climate will do what it will, according to the laws of physics.
They and with the media cartel massive propaganda, they will insist, while knowing that they can’t do a damn thing. It is the best way to steal, tax every damn nickel from the working people, they will take their massive cut and give some alms back to those that don’t contribute a damn penny.
There does not seem to be one character with a mouth piece in this country that will oppose the nonsense and take them on.
If you ask or if you don’t, it’s a sad, sad world.
Why the CLIMATE EMRGENCY is so useful to professional politicians is that it gives them an excuse for something to do; creates a fake controversey. Thus they do not have to discuss real issues, like, for example, oh, I don’t know, maybe the government taking half of people’s income.
“In the beginning the organizer’s first job is to create the issues or problems.” ~ Saul Alinsky
“The organizers first job is to create the issues or problems, and organizations must be based on many issues. The organizer must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act. . . . An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent.” ~ Saul Alinsky
You still don’t know what government is there for? Without problems, they have no job security. The bigger the problems, the more biscuit wheels on the gravy train.
• Scheer and Bernier were effective against Trudeau.
• The rest don’t count.
• The BQ didn’t belong there.
• Trudeau looked and sounded defensive.
• The format of the debate was basically dysfunctional.
Trudeau struck me as being ‘off’.
(it might be me but his lisp seems to have faded).
Trudeau was robotic but knows his smile and acting skills (?) will get him through. He is Trudeau, he is arrogant.
The format of this debate was the worst ever.
Too many times the leaders were allowed to talk over one another and no one could hear either leader.
Too many times leaders were cut off because the time limits placed on them by moderators were too short.
Too many times some leaders were given far more time to answer and/or to respond to other leaders.
If this is the best format that the mainstream media brain trust can come up with for a nationally televised debate then they should be embarrassed and ashamed of the fraud that they perpetrated on Canadians by calling this a Leaders Debate.
Right. There wasn’t enough time for open-ended questions.
They should’ve been given an objective type of questionnaire like an exam at school. Answers being in a,b, c, or d format. Too silly and boring, just kidding.
Or…
They should have all had stand-up comedy routines prepared for a “battle of the wits” style. /s
Too silly, just kidding.
“If this is the best format that the mainstream media brain trust can come up with for a nationally televised debate then they should be embarrassed and ashamed of the fraud that they perpetrated on Canadians by calling this a Leaders Debate.”
No Jim the media did exactly what they were paid to do..”.PROTECT THE TURD AT ALL COSTS” !!!!! And they did a wonderful job. When even the mods smirk at the so called random choice of candidate to answer a question you know the fix is in. Unfortunately that is 1 hr.50 min. of my life I will never get back…… We as a country are well and truly screwed …. Steve O
Hate to break it to you cupcake, but the only way Grand Maxipad counts is as Aladdin’s useful idiot.
The winner of the debate was Ezra Levant and Candace Malcolm of Rebel Media and True North.
Nothing any of the clowns in the debate or the media did or say anything of any substance.
True. A lot of nattering, Althea was playing defense for Trudeau, she cut Scheer off sharply a couple times, she sure thinks she’s important, maybe Butts will appoint her to a nice cushy Crown Corp director position.
Best line of the night, was Scheer telling Trudeau to apply for the Provincial Liberal leadership, since he’s so obsessed with provincial politics. Yes, it got a rise from the audience too. But, this debate will change nobody’s minds.
SIngh is well spoken, but, he’s Bernie Sanders with a turban.
May is just a nutty harpy that hates this nation, and would make us subservient to the UN and to the natives. Luckily the harpy is only in the running in 4 ridings and is an also ran.
Trudeau? Still a rehearsed, phony dumbass, that has entranced too many Low Info dummies to his aura
after the French debate Max will get the majority of seats outside Montreal in Quebec.
You have to understand
French Quebecers are a nation in their province and they like it that way and the islamist are being allowed in by traitor Trudeau and Scheer which he won’t because Scheer will not win much in Quebec.
They only reason Quebecers voted in a new provincial political party was to stick it to the hijab wearers.
You all actually think Quebecers will vote LibCons! Wrong…
Max is their only choice to vote for in Quebec to stop the Islamist tide that threatens their Québécois Nation.
They have seen what has happened to France
Angel
He and the PPC won’t win any seats – including his own.
But you know that. You are content to be “right” on Policy even if it means never being in power – just like Bernie.
Seems like you don’t know Quebec at all.
Which is why NO MORE pm’s from Quebec.EVER!!.. Thank You Angel. Well done.
“after the French debate Max will get the majority of seats outside Montreal in Quebec.”
Let’s make a bet. If it happens I will pay for a prostitute for you (either sex or species), so you can finally lose your virginity (no, not like that, the cucumber does not count). If he does not win more than a single seat in the whole country you and all the other voices in your head will go away never to comeback. Deal?
Trudeau didn’t get reprimanded enough on the issue of obstruction of Justice by his opponents during the debate. When he was confronted, he stuck to his same old line, that being, that he saved Quebec jobs. There you are, we’ve a two tier Justice system.
He’s done, he’s toast.
Dan BC wrote:

I agree.
Second best line was when Lizzie Liquor Lips said to Trudeau, “Hope to God you don’t get another majority!”
AMEN TO THAT!
Agree!!!
And Angel @9:40…I would add to your list the way CPC treated Professor Salim Mansur.
Pretty well the best line of the night and pretty obvious, Scheer had to say it and did. Trudeau had that sick look on his face, made no attempt to answer
How loaded a question was that from that young kid from NB. “What are you all going to do about the CLIMATE CRISIS.” When in the Hell did the term Climate Crisis become normalized to the point that its being used in a political debate. Makes me crazy.
TBH, my minds made up so I only caught bits and pieces. WAY more interest in baseball, football and Tucker.
Its called hysteria and psychosis. It fulfills the commentary that this is a religion, a cult, and there is no telling how far these lunatics will go in their mob mentality “We’re all gonna die UNLESS!!!!!!!!!!!”
The media shares a tremendous amount of guilt in fostering this ridiculous nonsense
And also fills the vacumn of “something meaningful” for politicians to discuss. Real issues like taxation and destruction of the middle class. You know, what ended the Roman Empire
And how can anybody deny we have a climate crisis when Parliament held a vote and three-of-four parties agreed, yes, we have a climate crisis? What evidence can we shove-up their nose that they’ll believe?
The CPC earned my vote that day, because they alone did not vote with the “consensus”.
I mean, our Environment Minister Ms. C. Barbie, stood-up an official government website explaining climate change to the great unwashed – and in it, she didn’t mention that she suppressed 100 years of actual Canadian climate data and went with models instead – and she’s planning to use that website to plan future increases to the carbon tax! And nobody inside Sockpuppet’s bought-and-paid-for (right-after-the-election…) media is saying a single word about it – where do Canadians learn about all that the warmists are pulling with our tax dollars?
– HAPPY the CON-servatives did not vote along with the climate-crisis shills.
– UNHAPPY they haven’t gotten seriously down with revealing the scam – but I appreciate they want to win the election, and I note that the whole free world is steeped-in Ms. Thunberg’s adopted religion. Hoping Andrew Who defeats Sockpuppet, and hoping he allows a bit of fresh air and a few sober words to intrude in the post-election debate – but not holding my breath…
I think Alberta-Sask should separate before the Liberals return to power in 2023. This is only going to get worse for us in the future, not better.
We may have some hope in the near term with a Scheer – Conservative majority, but to appease the remains of Canada, we’ll be paying a price we don’t want to pay, and there’s a good chance it’ll be a one term majority. Mr. Scheer isn’t Mr. Harper, as strong as he was, he didn’t act upon the CBC, no pipelines were approved and completed (some of this on Obama’s plate I admit). And Alberta continues to pay into an equalization fund that rewards Quebec and the Atlantic province’s mediocracy.
Liz May makes Mr. Singh with the NDP sound reasonable. Every time she opened her gaping maw I wanted to switch that lunatic off completely. What a menace to Canada.
Mr. Singh made some points and responds for the most part respectfully, very unlike Trudeau and May, in spite of me not agreeing with his views.
Trudeau interrupts incessantly and then eats up the other candidate’s time with evasive answers and long winded explanations. What a complete putz. Putz.
The Bloc head as to be expected was there only for Quebec and shows exactly the problem with accepting Quebec as a special province-jurisdiction. They need to be shown the door.
I didn’t hear anything of the military brought up…
Canada underfunds the military in Canada by +$16 Billion Each Year. Promised to spend 2% of GDP, current spending is 1.2% and Canada grotesquely underspends on equipment by almost 1/2 of the NATO recommendation. I’d prefer military spending before heating the Parliament and SCOC buildings. Not rhetoric.
https://www.nato.int/nato_static_fl2014/assets/pdf/pdf_2019_06/20190625_PR2019-069-EN.pdf
Bothe Trudeau and May are threatened by the Dippers. Fortunately, Singh appears to be an incompetant political organizer.
So expect a minority red/green/orange government. Expect to hear lots about the impending doom of a burning planet; expect nothing to happen until the next election. Keeps your e;lection signs and candidate, we will soon have another election.
It’s going to be facinating watching Liberal Leader Chrystia Freeland and her coalition partner NDP Leader Nathan Cullen fighting against Conservative Leader Peter MacKay in the 2020 Federal Election, with private citizen Max Bernier trying to regain his seat.
That’s totally within the realm of possibility.
I hope to be watching as a foreign national of Western Canada, while they decide who’s going to pay more tax to have any hope in hell of paying their accumulated debt.
I guess I’m the pussy in the room.. Voting Max ..you might as well not vote.. I wanted to hear what he said,.. but he mainly got talked over. He had so much ammo on the turdlet, but attacked scheer.. Sooo.. basically point less., SillyHat was tax, spend. Ms.Hobbitt, wants us all to pay BIG bucks, so we can become cave dwellers. I thought Scheer kicked turdies ass frankly.. The only man in the room..
Scheer has no balls so he falls in the same column as Trudeau.
You guys don’t get it the back and forth of power in Canada is shifting away from the Liberals and Cons.
You both had your chances and look at the mess you both did.
The LibCons are both guilty and both should never hold power over Canadians ever again…
And yet Max and his PPC can’t get over 3% in any national poll.
Polls? Hillary was 10 points ahead of Trump, remember?
Buggaaaahhhh off Ahh. Conservatory toadster.
Soo Bobby.. Going to throw your vote away on another Quebec waste of skin.. Go for it.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. That fiasco perpetrated on the Canadian voter is an insult to our collective intelligence. From the advocate of the Little Hen and the Sky is Falling, the Stay-Puffed Marshmallow guy trying to be liked by everyone, the Shiny Pony that looked like he’d had a dye job to match his Black face, the Tax the Rich is the solution guy, the Fleur-dis-Leis, Kebec is not a province guy, to the Johnny Come Lately to the National party celebration guy we have been inundated with the biggest insult to our intelligence to call this a debate. Here is an idea for the next “National Debate” how about we give each leader a fifteen minute uninterrupted time period to outline the party platform on what they think the country’s direction should be and how they hope to achieve their aims. That approach would serve a better purpose to the Canadian electorate than the Three Stooges/ Keystone Kops/Inspector Clouseau debacle that was on display tonight.
The only one who didn’t agree with everything (but attack everyone) was max. He stated each time his policy.
And he has as much chance of winning as you or I as a result.
It’s real life politics with real life consequences for this confederation – not a college debate.
The PPC is not a serious option.
After a lifetime of voting conservative I’ve learned they have rarely been a serious option, as they govern to please the Laurentian elite and the CBC power enclaves. This time is no different after hearing Scheer, non surprisingly, agree wholeheartedly with the climate hoax, the UN and globalist narratives. It’s not a win by any means but a matter of degrees towards the exact same globalist goal.
PPC for me, for Canada’s last chance. Looking forward to being issued an official Republic of Alberta passport soon; may it come tomorrow.
SO only the liberals and conservatives are a serious option? Thye are both the same. One led by an idiot, the other by a dollop of butter
Man, you sound exactly like the never Trumper’s down south. Often wrong, but never in doubt. And “Hillary has a 93 % certainty to win the Presidency.”
Doowleb- it’s the PPC voters who are never trumpers. They are the immoderate, impractical conservatives of Canada.
uhuh.
and what if in future elections they continue to gain ground?
hmmm?
Im willing to take the long term view and try to get this gawdforsaken libcon outfit on a new path.
if it takes 5 friggin elections to get there, so be it.
or they cease to exist, so be it but ferfcuksake at least TRY.
and THAT is the nature of cdn politics.
but this way turdthedipshit has more cover.. no time to put him in his place.. no time for the legit party to be heard.. cbc/global/ctv/tass/pravda approved..
The other interesting point was by the French guy. He clearly stated that he cares only for Q’bec.
When you think about it, he tells the truth while the airhead does the same and lies about it.
You may not like it, though he spoke his mind and there is nothing that any of the other characters could say, not that there was nothing to say, just that they need the votes from Q’bec.
Scheer gets plus for telling the airhead that it appears as though he is running against provincial premiers, Scheer told him that he can quit the federal party and run for Liberals in Ontario since they screwed up the province so bad, nobody wants the job.
Well, he did not say the last part, being seer, soothsayer, all knowing, dealing in multivaried, useless and unimportant matters, I just thought I’ll throw that in.
Dodgers lost tonite. Gonna be a game 5.
I watched that instead. Go Nationals!
Harper, Harper, Harper.. I heard his name mentioned more often than the candidate’s names. Liberals are so far behind, they are still campaigning against him! Must have been a really important man if they keep mentioning him!
Yeah, the way Trudeau went on about Harper gives the impression that even Trudeau knows that Harper was the last PM to have a record worth talking about.
If Joe Clark and Jimmy Carter joined together and had a son he would look exactly like Andrew Scheer …. hate to describe him as such …. I am a life long Conservative who will likely vote for Mazim but he will not win ….. it will only split the right wing voters ….. which of course will end up being to Trudeau’s advantage …. darn !!!!!
Max stayed true to his principles and called the others out on their globalist/socialist/high spending policies. My vote stays with Max and the PPC.
I agree with you. Then later I’ll vote Wexit. This country is fubar.
I’ve been waiting for Wexit my whole voting life and I’m approaching, well, I got no hair.
So you’re a fan of K-bec Prime Ministers and therefore K-bec Primacy over the ROC. Good for you traitor.
MAX 100%.
The REST..?
Socialist – Quasi Communist – Globalist – Climate ECO (steal your money) (_i_)HOLES.
they all kiss UN (_i_)
they all kiss IPCC Paris Accord (_i_)
they all kiss Islamic (_i_)
they all kiss Monopoly (_i_)
they all kiss CBC (_i_)
they all kiss Soros (_i_)
And I include Mr Scheer. First thing he will do is bend the knee and kiss QUEBEC Power Corp (_i_)….as all before him have. The Quebec mafia runs this country…as they have since PET’s day. Nothing will EVER effin change….evah.
As such there is only 1 Commons Sense Conservative Alternative to the LIB-CON-ECO Commie cabal…
BernierNation
And if that brings in PM DickSpank the Groper & Serial Stat Rapist/Eunuch back into the PM’s chair..?? Alberta & Sask at a minimum, are GARANTEED to Leave.
Long fricking overdue IMO.
Steakman, voting for Max is voting for Peeair, Juthtin, Bwian and Jean. Thanks a pantload.
My oh my, the Scheer crowd is terrified of Bernier. Quebec is going to see a repeat of the 2011 Orange Wave, but with the PPC this time.
I abhor socialism in any form. That will never change. But if I were on the left, I think Mr Singh would have convinced me to give him my vote.
The Bloc guy – did you notice he always said “…the provinces and Quebec…”? Shows how they think Quebec has a superior status. I think it should be the objective of all the other provinces and territories to wipe the floor with those guys…flush ’em down the St Lawrence, with the rest of the raw sewage.
Max didn’t convince me…for this election. Next one, if I don’t have a CPC MP, I think it’ll be Max’s boy.
Trudeau was asked direct questions about SNC-Lavalin and events connected to it, and never answered one of them. Didn’t even come close. He has not earned any trust…not that I ever had any for him.
Lizzy has never been more unappealing, she was more coherent when she was drunk on stage.
Scheer was OK, but could have done a lot better.
Yeah, a loss on SNC. When Groper answers “Im protecting jobs”, that is the opeing to say REALLY? You’ve done NOTHING for over 100,000 Albertans that have lost their jobs, except to delay pipelines being built. If those Oil jobs were in Quebece, what laws and obstruction would you have performed?
Crickets……………instead, the excuse is JWR, native woman, blather. UGH. BUt since this was in QUebec, cant say NOTHING bad about old Qbecers in any way.
Greenusinteruptis
Greenus Hystericalitis
I’m just over half way through this abomination. It’s so bad that I think the pundits will have a hard time bloviating about it. These questions are ridiculous.
“These questions are ridiculous.”
Yes. The Press are bereft of ideas. They admitted to having received over 8,000 questions to ask the candidates. They have no critical thinking skills either. Too busy with how they look.
“I think Mr Singh would have convinced me to give him my vote.”
He didn’t show his problem… He was interviewed on CBC a couple of days ago by a Young Lady (lawyer) and she asked him what he would do about the Sales of Military Equipment to Saudi Arabia… He said he will cancel that Sale…She then asked him what he would do when the Saudi’s retaliated…..He said that his personal integrity was important when dealing with bullies… He is not a Leader you want making decisions…Ego’s & religion start wars.
JMHO
I think maybe the media is right on one thing.
The fewer of these ridiculous debates the better.
I lasted about 15 minutes.
Btw the federal government paid for this pile of trash. Back in 2015 before the federal debate commission rate debates were way better. I look forward to the feds “improving” our drug system and dental care next!
I don’t think Max was able to show his best side, mostly because of the format. Too bad. As for rest of them, good lord.
Random questions my ass.
It’s gonna be ugly tomorrow. Butts will unleash the pit bulls. His boy apparently took some blows and didn’t come off all that well.
Where’s Al-Qaeda when we need them?
I will not co-sign the CAGW lie and the policies that result with my vote. PPC it is, just to make it clear.
Large shifts in voter preference appear possible after this debate. Singh has not cratered in this campaign as Greens and Liberals expected. But the net result of that could be such a split on the left that conservatives won’t need as many votes to win in quite a few ridings. The slight rebound of the Bloc could have that same impact in Quebec.
A late conservative surge could free up more voters afraid of splitting the vote by going with their conscience, allowing the PPC to get a few ridings. The best that the media spin doctors could say about Justin was that he had escaped major mistakes. The problem with that analysis is that most of the content of the exchanges involving him were reviews of his earlier major mistakes. So we are asked to believe that not totally falling apart and sobbing about that all-party attack amounts to a fine performance.
This is a little like saying that nobody was embarrassed at Nuremberg.
Another take-away for some might be the exposure of the appalling arrogance and make-believe world of the Greens. Their basic attitude seems to be, let’s make the whole country a national park, give everyone benefits, balance the budget, and let the United Nations run our country. It would seem that nobody in that party has ever held a real job producing anything of value, they despise all of us who have such work or support a development economy.
I won’t be too alarmed if Scheer wins. I hope the PPC is in the mix and has some influence. We need to end this globalist madness as soon as possible. If a win emboldens Scheer to take some stands he hasn’t taken in the past, that will be good. I would prefer Max, but realistically, the job of convincing millions of low-info voters to abandon a mainstream party is too much in too small a time window. The PPC would need massive advertising budgets to push past the 5% barrier. Max is a good man and I hope the voters agree in enough ridings to make his party a significant player. But job one is to get the left over to the opposition benches where they belong.
Peter, My sentiments exactly, we’ve got to pull TOGETHER! We MUST get that little asswipe gone. As a one term of power leader (I use that term very loosely in his case) He will not come back to haunt us again. I like a lot of what Max puts out, but the focus must be on getting that groper out. Vote CPC, and then work to improve the leadership, or maybe Max. The prime minstrel must, must, MUST, be turfed.
Ain’t no climate emergency.
It has been getting warmer, with some variations, since the end of the Little Ice Age in the 1850s. The warmest decade in the 20th Century (before they retroactively cooked the books over the last 20 years) was the 1930s. Remember the Dust Bowl?
Humans do better in general when the weather is warmer. They sure aren’t going to do better when it gets colder. These geeks are looking resolutely in the wrong direction.
It was quite appalling how the UN appears to be the country’s real government given the way four of the five candidates all wanted to implemented and follow UN policies – aboriginals, “migrants”, climate change, seat on the security council.
You know the Liberals are short on ammunition when Trudeau keeps talking about Ontario Premier Ford, it’s become an obsession. Scheer snared him on that, best hit of the night. Actually Scheer was the winner IMO.
Yes, Scheer zapped Trudeau good on that one:
“If you’re so focused on (ON) provincial politics, go and run for the leadership of that party.”
This debate might move the dial a bit. The electorate will move to Scheer or Trudeau. It looked like Justin but he might be retrenching. Two weeks is an eternity in elections. We can count on another Scheer smear, most certainly if he gains ground.
I understand they’re working on a story that Scheer skipped math class in grade 10 without a note from his parents.
And you think this man is suitable as PM, with all the other non-issues surrounding him?
https://www.thepostmillennial.com/watch-scheer-zings-trudeau-by-suggesting-he-run-for-ontario-liberal-leadership/
Well at least the female moderators were sexually fulfilled last night, as they had the privilege of asking their hero Blackie questions.
They vote. And this after all the scandals. Premiers tomorrow.
Warning: Don’t watch on full stomach.
https://globalnews.ca/video/6000379/new-mom-who-dis-launches-season-2-with-an-exclusive-interview-with-canadian-prime-minister-justin-trudeau
It’s just funny how so many people, who see the CBC as the enemy, still do whatever the CBC says.
“The election debate is important, whether of not the PM even shows up.”
“Yeah, we agree, even though you’re not a new organization, we believe it when you say something is important, someone is unelectable, a subject is untouchable…”
I didn’t waste my time watching the debate and I suspect I am very much in the majority on that count. This election has truly left me cold like no other election I can remember with the exception of the Ed Stelmach debacle where there truly was no one to vote for. Mad Max is a goof. Betty Boop needs to be medicated. The socialist wears a turban that reminds me of Marge Simpson. His ideology reminds me of Homer Simpson. The liberal is utterly corrupt and elitist. Andy Panda has the gravitas of a popcorn fart in wind storm. Canada is broken beyond repair and it is time to bring the curtain down on the Laurentian empire. Say good night Gracie. I am looking for a Western Independence party that I can support.
Listening to all of these pro carbon-tax idiots leads me to believe that Canadians really don’t understand how a carbon tax is supposed to work; or how much it will hurt. Only Scheer and Bernier seem to understand it. For those folks who approve of a carbon tax; maybe this will help you understand.
“A Carbon tax works to reduce CO2 emissions, in the same way making food affordable makes you thinner.”
Silly, economic illiterates.
Another thing that is becoming obvious, is that political polling may be a cult.
“oh look at the polls, Max can’t get above 3%”
“Hillary is going to win with 98% certainty”
“the libs are pulling ahead in the polls”
Definitely no hope for Canada; all there are are bitter clinger cult zealots. CPoC and Scheer got their bitter clingers. Liberals got their bitter clingers. NDP, Green, they all got their brain dead Jones Town followers who will drink the Kool-Aid. No one, or not enough, are willing to try anything different, so they will die by their own hand.
Western Independence Party of Saskatchewan appears to be defunct (no website, nothing), so I guess we currently do not have a political party that actually puts Saskatchewan first.
Is the Western Block, or Western Canada Concept still a thing? They appear to have a web page still, but it has not been updated since the 90s.
The separation of the interior west will not be driven by upstart parties. If it happens it will be driven by mainstream parties.
Shorter Gord Tulk: “only the establishment can save us, listen to the elites”.
Nope – Unlike the separatists in Quebec, western separation is not nativist at is core – it is economic and thus cuts across the entire population. Thus it will be a mainstream party (or parties) that drive the exit much as has happened in the UK et al.
“oh look at the polls, Max can’t get above 3%”
Do you even talk to ordinary people? Not friends, not family, just random people. They’ve never even heard of Bernier.
The PPC isn’t even on their radar.
Did you take note of how many years it took for the Reform party to transition to the Canadian Alliance and then to the Conservative Party of Canada? And it was started in Western Canada where they vote conservative. Quebec is not even a conservative province.
Of course Bernier can’t get above 3%. It’s probably overly generous to even imagine him at 3% at all.
I do see the comparison between Maxime and Hillary though.
Maxime, just like Hillary, held the same important government cabinet position and didn’t take securing government files seriously.
Also just like Hillary, Maxime lost the big leadership race and doesn’t possess the class or good graces to accept defeat and fade into obscurity, but instead runs an underhanded guerilla campaign on social media to undermine the rightful winner and those who voted for him. Sure I see the likeness.
“Do you even talk to ordinary people?”
Nurses, orderlies, the cook, other inmates?
You do know how Scheer “won” the leadership right? It takes a real CPC shill to compare Max to Hillary. I live in suburban Vancouver for chrissake and people know who he is.
“You do know how Scheer “won” the leadership right?””
Yes by playing by the rules both him and the looser Maxipad agreed to before they started to play. Only then, Maxipad, proving that he is nothing more than a typical Frenchie bitch, threw a massive temper tantrum, betrayed those who supported him and went to work for Aladdin. That is precisely what happened so kindly put a sock in it Maxbot.
” It takes a real CPC shill to compare Max to Hillary. ”
Kevin, who brought Hillary up at October 8, 2019 at 9:07 am, compared Hillary to Maxime. The implication is that Maxime is like Trump. A likeness which many Maxbots here at SDA have been making for months.
My comment was made to show in which some of the ways Maxime is very like Hillary.
In no way Is Maxime like Trump.
Maxime has no Trump-like grass roots support. Although Maxime has decided to wage his campaign on the cheap, he has no crowded rallies like Trump did.
Maxime has never hosted an international level Beauty pageant, popular TV show, or written an international best selling book as Trump has.
Maxime is not a $Billionaire success as a business man with his name emblazoned across world class buildings, as Trump is.
Maxime doesn’t even speak good English as his mother tongue as Trump does, so Maxime cannot clearly communicate with the majority language speakers in the country he intends to be the Leader of.
I talk to strangers all the time when I’m out in public shopping or walking with my wife and my dogs. I live in a small city just north of Calgary. This is wheat and beef country. You can see pump jacks from any country road in any direction you drive in.
The people voted PC, then Wild Rose, and last election UCP by a huge majority here. Same voting pattern for CPC.
They do not know who Maxime Bernier or his “People’s Party” is. Maxime is not grass roots popular. He isn’t even popular.
“You do know how Scheer “won” the leadership right?”
Not only is Maxime like Hillary, …Maxime’s supporters are like Hillary’s supporters.
Poor demented losers who state that their preferred candidate lost because the winner of the contest somehow cheated.
*boo frickin’ hoo*
After an overnight reflection, must admit that Scheer did OK.
Would qualify it as the better of bad lot.
I could not bear to watch the debates. I find Trudeau and May insufferable. For what it’s worth, my millennial daughter decided that Singh was the clear winner. She voted for Trudeau last time. I think gravitation from Trudeau to Singh could be a trend among young people. Danger there if the NDP props up a Liberal minority, but potentially good if the NDP takes enough of a bite out of Liberal votes.
Actually Gord is right. And the way that happens is enough of us join parties in power and seize control. Vote smoat. Your infuence at the party level is far greater.
I hated Trudeau’s moronic staring as he seemed to struggle with trying to remember the scripted answers to his rehearsed questions, or he was straining to read the flash cards held up by his gushing, fawning moderators – either way. Barf! Dizzie Lizzy could have pulled off a less embarrassing performance had she show up drunk, or more drunk than she was. All I can recall about the looser from QC was he kept demanding more money from the rest of the Country. I thought Scheer did an okay, but rather lack-luster job. I was hoping for more from Max. The so-called moderators were as revolting and irrelevant as the idiotic questions.
I bailed after about 40 minutes and tuned into reruns of Cheers. Salute.
Didn’t/wouldn’t watch. Scheer, whatever misgivings one may have, is the only logical choice to make. A vote for Bernier is a vote for Trudeau.
“A vote for Bernier is a vote for Trudeau.”
Funny, the way I look at it, a vote for scheer-the-steer is no different than voting for turdo la doo.
So you don’t think section 13 matters?
You don’t own guns, do you?
Scheer will cave in and take away your guns after the next Terrorist attack using firearms.
Scheer and the CPC are Globalist First and as Australia and then New Zealand have banned firearms so will Scheer.
It’s all part of the great LibCons globalist plans…
Harpers Conservative party died the moment Scheer became leader and whipped up a force vote for the Paris Accord the Globalist That Control Scheer needed proof that Scheer would do their dirty work just like Trudeau
“Scheer will cave in and take away your guns after the next Terrorist attack using firearms.”
Nope sorry does not work like that. You cannot simply declare what you wish to be true as objective proven truth. Conservatives have decisively better record on guns than Libranos. Harper was unquestionably better than Libranos before or after him Scheer is already on the record promising the return to conservative policies that Aladdin overthrew. Easy promises to deliver at little cost whereas cost of not delivering them would be substantial. That goes for both guns and section 13.
“Blah blah blah Globalist etc etc etc LibCons globalist yad yada yada off topic bullshit”
Your inability to cough up a couple of sentences without using words “libcon” and “globalist” only proves what a primitive subhuman you are.
The difference between Scheer and TrueGrope McBlackFace is zero. The platforms are identical. The only good thing here is Scheer will be replaced after this election. It took 2 terms of Obama to get Trump after all. Thank God Romney lost.
Actual differences have already been pointed out to you, Maxbot, ask you programmers for a code update.
It has occurred to me that it isn’t the politicians that are to blame for our current crop of imbicils, but we , the citizens who have been to dam lazy to fight for what we know is right.
I’m most interested in Premier Kenney’s response this morning. The debate last night was the most vile anti-Canadian political fare I’ve ever witnessed. The tens of thousands of Albertans still out of work because of anti-energy industry activists working in concert with various gov’ts was not mentioned. Scheer might have only alluded to it once. Bernier’s attacks on Scheer over lightweight issues was unforgivable and with the exception of one statement he finally got out over immigration he looked like a dog that lost his leash. It was a tremendous gang up against Canadians and what should be their right to the pursuit of happiness. Everything was about promising billions and billions with no way to pay for it except GETTING MORE FAIR SHARE (what exactly IS A FAIR SHARE????) from the ultra rich, who by the way have already booked the moving van and plane tickets to Texas. Heck the loser leaders even jumped on Scheer for suggesting that Canadians should receive aid from their tax dollars ahead of other nations that we’ve freely given billions in aid because we now need it for ourselves. Last night was a burst bubble. Almost every leader including Scheer would not call the CO2 scam the job stealing country wrecking hoax that it is. Any investment waiting on the sidelines has turned tail and run to the U.S. I want a new country!
“”Almost every leader including Scheer would not call the CO2 scam the job stealing country wrecking hoax that it is.”””
Really?
LIB-CON voters deserve what’s coming. Scheer committed to same Paris Accord as the Lieberals. Can any of you explain how Sheer’s carbon reduction plan will cost less than Trudeau”s.
We in Ontario are paying the carbon tax AND we are paying for the Green Energy Scam on our hydro bills and our provincial debt, a scam what was sold to us by FEDERAL CONSERVATIVES and Provincial Lieberals. I’ld be happy to post the links again.
To Harper’s credit, he changed the tune near the end of his rule doing a 180 degree about face. And he took a beating for it. And the CPC could have followed on from Harpers lead and showed leadership on the file. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO instead they caved to win over Liberal voters.
If any CPC voters think Sheer will change the channel, you are dreamers. So please CPC voters please spare your whining about the climate change hoax because when you vote CPC, you are helping sell the hoax.
After last nights performance, it’s looking more like the NDP will be propping up a Conservative minority. Enjoy.
Need a bit of a correction there; theCPoC caved in to appeal to Liberal voters, but didn’t get any.
There; fixed it for you.
It always comes down to one simple thing; why buy margarine, when you can buy butter?
Why buy no fat sour cream, when you can have the real thing?
Why vote Liberal Lite, when you can just haz Liberal?
All Scheer ever had to do, was take a single action that proved he believes in anything I believe in. Not talk, talk is worth nothing. Has he tried to pass a bill to cancel all MP travel allowances because “CLIMATE EMERGENCY!!!!!!”? No, he hasn’t. No action there. Lots of talk, no action.
Which is why NO MORE pm’s from Quebec.EVER!!.. Thank You Angel. Well done.
