And This Is Your Brain On “Social Justice”

The school, without telling parents, changed all of its bathrooms, “from kindergarten to fifth grade,” from single-sex to gender-neutral. At a Parent–Teacher Association meeting, families split into warring factions. One side was furious at the school for making such an important decision arbitrarily and autonomously. “The parents in the other camp argued that gender labels — and not just on the bathroom doors — led to bullying and that the real problem was the patriarchy. One called for the elimination of urinals.”

On the competitive pieties of woke schooling.

  1. More and more evidence clearly indicates that half he population has become insane

I don t know if there is something in the water or in the starbucks coffee or if it is the glyphosate in our food, but half the population has lost their mind

they believe a 4 year old can chose its gender, that there are 83 genders, that it is illegal to say illegals are illegal et cetera et cetera

clearly those people have lost their mind, and they are half of the population

A zombie invasion would be easier to manage than those mad hatters

    1. Nope, the article says “One side was furious at the school for making such an important decision arbitrarily and autonomously. The parents in the other camp…”

Nowhere does it say the sides were equal in numbers.

I have no doubt that there was the usual small group of insane, shrieking, offensive, leftist arseholes and a much larger group of appalled normal people.

I’d be interested to know what “one side” and “the other camp” really constitute in terms of numbers of parents, since this reporting implies a tidy 50-50 split.

  3. I was in a public school in St Paul Alberta. I needed to use the loo but couldn’t find the men’s washroom . All the washrooms were unisex. Simply stalls clearly visible from the hall way and a wash ‘trough’ to wash you hands after you were done.

  4. The problem is that they need a FREAK room…..Since the PC lizards don’t want to call a freak… a freak, everyone else must be reassigned pronouns such that the freaks get lost in the shuffle….

  5. All there is to say: get your children out of public school. Today. Yes, you may think the teachers are great, but they are inmates in the same prison as your kids. They have no control over their safety, decisions are made arbitrarily, they are sorry stewards of your taxes. Get ’em out now.

  6. I have said this before, and will say it again – I believe that public schools will be non-existent within 20 years. More people are choosing Christian schools, charter schools or home-schooling. From my years in the Grade 1-12 system (1958-1970), I only had about 5 teachers who made a difference in my life and who “knew their stuff!” When you consider that, starting in Grade 7, you would have a home room teacher, and then different teachers for different subjects, the 5 good ones represent a very small percentage of the group.

  7. I’m in the sign business and the majority of my business is supplying schools signage for new construction.

This isn’t unusual, seeing this fairly often now, a move away from gendered washrooms. There’s also definitely a move away from urinals. Many new school & community centre change rooms which contain toilets don’t have urinals anymore!

  8. 1958-1970. How interesting – same years as myself.
You were Lucky BM….I only had one that I recall being worthy of remembrance – My History/Social Study teacher in Gr 10…and Oh, yea & the flaky weirdo English Teacher who like to wear ZOOT suits and come literally prancing into our class – singing the praises of poetry. We all knew even then that he was already well into some form of psychotic Lunacy.

Even then, the arrogance and snobbery of the majority of the teachers was quite evident..if ya didn’t make straight B’s or better you were likely relegated to the “commercial” class or worse yet, Mechanical classes..!! The preferred direction of course being University and all the schooling in High school was geared that way.

One was looked down upon and to a point ignored once the division had been made. I didnt graduate cause I saw no reason to discuss what some long dead author thought, had no use for Shakespere nor dissecting a frog. Got my GED 2 yrs ago. High School a long forgotten sorry episode.

  9. The delicious irony in this story is that the … CHILDREN … solved the problem themselves, by simply reinstituting the original boys and girls bathrooms, and ignoring the “adults” idiotic “genderless” bathrooms.

This is a perfect example of all things LGBTQq-pee-pee-wee-wee … the queers and other aberrant misfits will NEVER impose their lifestyles on the normal, heterosexual, male and female, population. They will never MAKE us “accept” them and their deviancy by legislation or bathroom placards.

  10. ah, speaking of the edjukaSHUN cystem, I had the delightful opportunity to communicate with a couple edjukaSHUN boards about the story week ago monday or so, about teachers in various regions getting beat up by the kiddies.
my smarmy take on it, well, ITS ABOUT TIME THE KIDS HIT BACK.
the first time ever in my life I was hit violently was the grade 1 teacher.
6 yrs old, *already* getting knocked around.
like sooooooo many for GENERATIONS in the public edjukaSHUN cystem.

I attributed it to payback and expressed the wish it would continue to increase, and then maybe, MAYBE various ‘authority’ figures would, ummmm, perchance realize if *they* tolerate and engage in THIS type of behaviour, then it could like this case, come back and bite their cohorts, inheritors of the profession, footstep followers, etc real real hard.

then I suggested if beating up kids triggered an instant leap in larning skills, why not beat them all up regularly?
    graduate 100s of black-and-blue einsteins eh !!!
then asked why it was the well groomed cute kids never got their share of the blows . . . . . . . . .

so ya, when a teacher gets beat up NOW, well, karma baby !!!!!
