People already know what they’ve got with His Majesty, so why not return him to office while Scheep is doing little to show that he’s different and might even offer an alternative.

        Shiny is a good-looking, ego-driven crook with an appallingly vapid world-outlook, a dismal “all your dollars are belong to me” fiscal sense and a vaunting messiah-complex. He’s $crewed-up time and time again, he throws our money around however he feels like – why not, it’s for a worthy cause and he can always borrow more and up the taxes again – and he’s incapable of understanding, let alone admitting, when he’s made a mistake. In short, he’s poison – and if we put him back in after his vile record in office, he’ll feel fully vindicated and he’ll be radioactive next time around.

        Will Mr. Who be much (or any) better? – I say, let’s find out the hard way. Trudeau HAS to be flung-out, and Scheer is the only pol who can do it. And if Scheer turns-out to be as worthless, four years is a relatively short time – we’ll fling him out in his turn.

        Take a hint, Mister Prime Minister – your job isn’t complete on the day you get elected; that’s the day it starts.

      2. BA, I don’t believe Scheer is that desperate to become PM. When he was a politically involved high school student he probably never dreamed he’d get this far,Leader of the Oppos, so I’m sure he’s quite happy to continue in that role and build up his pension points. His salary of $264,000 per year is quite spectacular for an Ottawa drone with no special qualifications.
        Scheer is a better alternative than Trudeau,at least he wouldn’t have McKenna and Bill “Gun Thief” Blair in his Cabinet.

        Bernier will be lucky to win half a dozen seats. Let’s not indulge ourselves in fantasy at this late stage in our lives.

    As for Cooper, he was suspended for foaming at the mouth. Not a big deal, he’s only suspended from the parliamentary committee, he’s still an MP.

      Also, conservatives are not fighting conservatives over Max, we are upset that we don’t have a conservative leader of the conservative party. The Dairy Queen is no conservative, and is unlikely to do anything to change the disintegration of the country. If Trudeau wins, the country will likely not survive for long, if it is the Dairy Queen we will at best buy some time before the eventual dissolution.

        1. I think Andrew is rudderless and will move where the wind blows him. He seems to be getting blown by PM Turnip as he advocates for many of the same things.
          But I think Justa was going to get in no matter what. The MSM is quite powerful and Canadians are meek, subservient sheeple.

That infighting was the result of leftist “conservatives” like Alison Redford being in leadership positions because of “anomalies” in the leadership voting system that allowed a bunch of people who would never vote conservative to vote for the leader. (How many dairy cartel votes do you think the CPC will get? How many Quebec seats will that translate to?)

          One thing that the betrayed conservative voters have learned is that if we just vote for the party due to tribal allegiance when it has a leader who reflects the Liberal politics, all we will ever get are Liberal politics.

          Maybe someone from Alberta can tell us if 4 years of the NDP was worth it to get Jason Kenney, or if they would be better off with Alison Redford clones forever.

    L- I’m going to by a dehydrator. I love jerky. Beef or venison , plus using butter or tallow as a tasty dip and energy source. That makes so much sense. I too, much prefer eating to cooking.

    1. If you have a convection oven you can make good jerky without a dehydrator, just use convection mode and put in on as low a temp as you can get. I have made it a few times that way. Another tip is to buy your meat at the butcher – eye of round is a good choice because it is very lean – and get the butcher to slice it for you using the deli slicer. You will likely get it much thinner and more uniform than if you do it yourself.

    I think the censorship rules will be rammed through without opposition. Andrew Scheer believes that if he just stays quiet, he’ll sail into victory in October’s election.

    I recall the events building up to that. I either watched or listened to the news about how the students boldly challenged the Beijing government, going so far as building their Goddess of Democracy statue.

    I, like many people, remembered something similar from about 20 years earlier. We all saw how the Prague Spring suddenly ended with the invasion and occupation of what used to be Czechoslovakia by troops from Warsaw Pact countries. (The only one that didn’t participate was the former Yugoslavia. Josip Broz Tito was the one communist leader who could get away with telling Moscow to get stuffed.) We were hoping this time that things wouldn’t end that way in China.

    Then I heard the CBC news that terrible morning when it was reported that troops moved in on the Tiananmen Square protesters with all guns blazing. The one thought I had was: “They did what? Huh?”

    A few years later, I became acquainted with someone who was there. He was a fellow grad student in our lab, but he didn’t want to talk much about it. His wife was there as well, and after the attack, she went missing for about a year. From what I was able to piece together, she managed to get out of China with the help of sympathizers, taking a route that went through somewhere in SE Asia–Cambodia or Thailand, I think. During that time, not surprisingly, his academic work suffered.

    More than 20 years ago, I presented a paper at a conference at UBC. Afterward, I walked around campus for a bit and I came across a makeshift memorial to what happened. Some students had quickly put it together, so what happened in 1989 still stung back then.

    Nowadays, there’s scarcely any mention of it. Perhaps the memories have faded or people are being cautious about discussing it. Then there’s the fact that an entire generation has grown up since then, so it wouldn’t have a direct recollection of what happened, if it even heard about it.

    The Chinese government turned on its own people 30 years today. People were reminded once again of the evils of a communist dictatorship. On November 9, 1989, die Mauer in Berlin opened for good.

CP24 reports that a near riot broke out when a black church group tried to preach the love of Jesus in the gay village. The group did not mention or denounce homosexuality, but the gays got really upset at them preaching about Jesus in public. 14 police officers arrived to calm the situation down, and they arrested the Pastor. In other diverse news, Trudeau’s CBC tackled the Trump visit on their panel. Of course their expert on everything, Michael Coren was on. The theme was Trump is Hitler, blah, blah, blah. And if that wasn’t enough Michael Coren for you, he has a story at UNIFOR’s Macleans Magazine where he explains that you must like homosexual sex to be a Christian. And Great Leader Groper will be meeting the London mayor tomorrow. They will have a lot in common to talk about. They both love islam, socialism, and they are both full of shit.
