   Next up in good news, people switch from You-Tube/Google, to Google/You-Tube.

   All the stuff you put on Facebook, is permanently owned by facebook. It doesn’t matter that you “deleted” your account. All those pictures are the property of Facebook, and they were not deleted. All those pictures on Instagram area the property of Facebook.

   1. Many years ago my niece asked me to friend her on face book. I love my niece so I started reading the contract. When I got to the clause you site I stopped reading. I have never been on Facebook but google put all my pictures in their cloud without permission so I assume they think they own them. Then they stopped forwarding my email. No notice just stopped. So I got on the land line and told everybody I care about that I was done with the fn thing, if you wanna talk to me pick up a phone. But my youngest brother didn’t like that idea and he fixed it for me. That’s ok for now, but I ain’t fixin’ it ever again.

6. Why would ANYONE trade their privacy … in perpetuity … so they could get “likes” of what they ate for lunch? I sincerely do NOT understand such mentality. When my daughter started using Facebook as a young college student, when Facebook was in its infancy … it seemed cute and charming … then it morphed into The Beast. Who could not see that?

      Even if YOU do not use Fakebook or Gargoyle or Twatter or any of the rest, if any of your “friends” use same, the Axes of Evil get your information and use it as they choose.

    1. Exactly, and the lemming philosophy is alive and well. Like, like, like, disagreeing is being a h8er, must be shunned.
       Like many others, I have an “alter” account, to use only for logging in to read articles and such, not post a page, but I’m on the verge of deleting the account and ignoring fb forever, due to the public declarations like the Whatsapp founder as noted above, and the lesser known infiltration of FB by the “Clowns”, DDG “LifeLog” for details. Fb may truly be more invasive than any of us will ever know.

11. Anyone remember ICQ ( I seek you) late 90’s, it became a nuisance and annoyingly intrusive,
    ICQ was the Facebook of it’s day, without all the bells and whistles.
    Because of ICQ I’ve never gone near Facebook or Twitter, none of them.

    1. Yes. I am an old truck driver. I still have several cbs and I usually get another old trucker when ever I key the mike. The young drivers all use their cell phones. It amazes me how few of them will shake loose the $75 dollars for hands free. The fine is near $500 ffs.

    1. I use Facebook to keep in touch with my relatives, who live in another province, But,I also have installed FBP – Face Book Purity, it is free to use. FaceBook considers it a virus, and tries to disable it – unsuccessfully. ALL I EVER SEE IS WHAT MY FB FRIENDS POST – no adds, no people you might know – only what my friends post. Give it a try.
