Probably because everybody from the Atlantic to Ottawa must be greased and paid off, too many change orders after the design is accepted drives up the cost, too long of a wish list.         The only issue, in my mind, is when does he start? I think he will wait awhile and let Ocasio do as much of the work herself.

CBC News this morning (Tuesday, February 12, 2019), with the corrupt heather Hiscox hosting, calmly reported on Justin Trudeau stating that “he would not mind an investigation” into the Lavalin-gate scandal. This scandal is that his corrupt PMO office lobbied the Attorney General to have the criminal trial for SNC Lavalin lifted. Hiscox also reported that the Public Ethics Commissioner, one Mario Dion, said that his office would investigate the affair. CBC News left viewers that both announcements left this situation in good hands, and that we could all breathe easier.

    But ever since he took office, Mr. Dion’s work has been under a cloud. I just have a passing knowledge on this, but here’s a great link to a “Mario Dion” page on Spencer Fernando’s web site:

    SDA readers should read some of the articles on this page. The site mentions that, when Dion was nominated to the position, Justin Trudeau’s Liberals gave only 7 minutes, each, to committee MPs to interview him in committee. After he was sworn in, he ruled that any MP making an ethics accusation had to keep the accusation secret from the media. He once opined that his RULINGS ought to remain secret from the public , but backtracked when he was heavily criticized.

    As to his rulings, he ruled in favour of Finance Minister Bill Morneau, when some new Finance rulings on private pension could enrich Morneau’s former financial corporation. Dion did rule against cabinet minister Dominic LeBlanc, who enriched himself through some dealings with his fish company, as fisheries minister. For this he was fined only $200. The media reported on this ruling, but treated the affair as over and done with.

    All of this is to suggest that one should question Mario Dion as to whether or not he can do much here, or even if he is willing to do or say anything of substance. Yet the CBC and other cartel media are reporting that Dion’s office can get to the bottom of the matter. Fat chance.

    2. Dion’s salary is $314,000 per year, plus expenses. As a life long civil servant, he has hit the jackpot. Will he bite the hand that elevated him to this lottery win job?

      The smart money says, not f***ing likely”.
      If there is a way to weasel out of the serious charge against the PMO, Dion will find it. Like a Judge who sentences a wife beater to house arrest because his family needs him, Dion will find a minor transgression from page 527 of the Rule Book of Ethics to satisfy the media.
      Accompanied by a scolding and small fine ,of course.

      We should keep in mind that Andrew Scheer called for an investigation by the House committee on justice,which is composed of 6 Liberals,3 CPC,1 NDP.
      Andy believes in the system.

    3. Mario Dion was born in Montreal.
      He has already written the ethics investigation conclusion. The only reason to stretch out the investigation was to let the Turd say “We are fully cooperating with the ethics commissioner so we cannot comment further”

      The bought and paid for mainstream media acting as the new Pravda will allow the story to die.

      However Wilson-Raybould has thrown a monkey wrench into the works by resigning.

    So the actual amount of CO2 in the air won’t go down, but the amounts claimed by each country will, thereby letting us reach our goals. And it’s not a scam…right…

  16. The Globe and Mail website is reporting that the former attorney general who was demoted to veteran’s affairs, has resigned from cabinet. I hope this doesn’t put a crimp into little Justin’s election tour.

    4. The lawyer Jody W-R retained is the Hon. Andrew Cromwell, a former Supreme Court justice. He was appointed by Stephen Harper to the Supreme Court in 2008, and is considered a centrist. (from Wiki).

  18. US Southern Baptist churches embroiled in sex abuse scandal

    (AFP) – The United States’ largest Protestant denomination, the Southern Baptist Convention, is facing a sexual abuse crisis after a bombshell report revealed hundreds of predators and more than 700 victims since 1998.

    The report by two Texas newspapers found some 380 church leaders and volunteers have faced public accusations of abuse, mostly of children as young as three years old.

    Some of the accused continued to work at Southern Baptist churches, the newspapers said.

    In response to the report, church officials acknowledged the number of victims could actually be higher and urged survivors to come forward.

    seriously. Ive used it numerous times. it’s a great deterrent in a potential physical confrontation to make it real, real clear the outcome has NOT be preordained. the attacker is taking a serious risk of being hurt bad if they insist on engaging.

    it’s a form of nuclear deterrence and God help me has worked every friggin time.
