      1. Robert, I think Chris is correct, the country is corrupt. People who always want something for nothing that someone else works for are basically corrupt. That encompasses all parties in Canada and the people who are more than willing to take what others have.

  1. It’s accurate to criticize the Trudeau Liberal government policies and actions as corrupt and totalitarian.

But you have to give them full marks for consistency.

How close is Canada to a tipping point? A Magna Carta moment? Will any of our institutions retain integrity?

  2. SNC Lavalin bribed government officials in Libya but would never try to bribe their bestest friends in government in Canada.

    1. “The improperly donated sums included: $83,534.51 to the Liberal Party of Canada; $13,552.13 to various Liberal riding associations; $12,529.12 to four contestants in the 2006 Liberal leadership race, including $5,000 each to Michael Ignatieff and Bob Rae;”

that’s just the money contributions… who knows how much in-kind payola went over…

  3. Sorry to be the pessimist in the room. Honest Canadians may think this is a “bombshell” but the liberal media and the many gullable Canadians who prefer image over substance will not.

Trudeau could eat babies live on TV and the media would find some way to spin it to his advantage, and most Canadians would happily go along.

Sorry, seen too much of politics and how the Liberals operate to believe that this “scandal” will have much impact. Of course I hope it does! But not betting on it.

    1. BC, indeed, the national media so far are covering the Norman trial (persecution?) with a colective yawn. “Move along, move along, there’s nothing to see here folks”.

    2. The theory I like is that the G&M, a Liberal institution, brought this up now so that it would be old news come the election.

    3. The Liberal gangsters will continue to get away with whatever they want… they always do… such is the nature of the corrupt Turdholian State… the Norman case is a disgrace and so far Turdhole, Butt and Scott Brison have been given a free ride by their bought off Media… I expect that free ride to continue. I’m surprised the Liberal Media talk about Norman at all, but this makes Libs look bad so no Duffy treatment from the Liberal Media. The AG shit with the Indian Minister being ordered to go easy on the gangsters of SNC Lav isn’t a surprise but I expect the ethics commissioner to clear Turdhole/Butt of all and any perceived corruption, the Media then continue to make Turdhole look like a hero and the story disappears. Remember when Andrew Coyne and the rest of the corrupt Media thought a 16 dollar orange juice was a reflection of moral decay and corruption within the whole Conservative government and was a direct threat to our supposed “democracy”? Ha, ha… Now its Liberals in the PMO interfering in the judicial process, but all is well says the Media, no moral and ethical decay here, move along.

  4. Hell, Trudeau could strangle puppies on air and Canada’s disgraceful Media Party would be discussing his elegant fingers and how the poorly underfunded CBC’s lighting was playing havoc with their daily Prime Ministerial selfies.

CTV would be hinting about extreme right wing American puppy infestations, whilst the CBC would be praising The Twerp for saving the puppies from a “fate worse than death”. The Toronto Star would nominate him for a Nobel. No reason required.

Have to address the Canadian Media somehow.
    No change possible until then.

    1. This is why the Trudeau bought off media with $600 million, and have now become compliant lap dogs, whilst “Justice” goes cap in hand begging for a fair shake.

Admiral Norman is having his laundry hoisted on the mizzen mast; and there is no SOS in sight for “Justice”.

SNC-Lavalin is more grist for the mill, talk about a crap-tastic farce!

Justice…not on this side of heaven.

      Cheers

      Hans Rupprecht, Commander in Chief
      1st Saint Nicolaas Army
      Army Group “True North”

      1. Six hundred million… seems the PM knows he needs to buy an awful lot of Turd polishing before the next election.

  5. Quelle Surprise. If anything is done about it, or the average eastern welfare recipient decides to bite the hand that feeds them, wake me up.

  6. Harper’s biggest mistake was in not whacking the CBC and then selling the bits and establishing licenses for regional broadcasters. The Laurentian narrative would’ve immediately been reduced to insignificance.

    Huge huge mistake!

      1. It would be interesting to find out why he didn’t go after them., since they are the coast to coast propaganda organ of the Liberal party. He is far too shrewd a politician to have missed how excellent an example this would’ve set for all the others who were planning to oppose his agenda.

        1. During Harper’s tenure, the CBC was a sacred cow. Its star is fading. They may have money, but I think their overall influence is sinking. The role of the CBC has been to ensure that a distinct Canadian voice is heard across the country, but not possible when the country itself is swamped in politically imposed “diversity”. Thanks to the Liberals, no one knows what Canada is anymore. Our history and culture are scarcely remembered.

  7. When our ambassador attempts to explain to Xi that the Justone cannot impose his will on our courts as Xi does, I wonder if he is prepaired to explain Lavscam, Mark Norman, ,adscam, etc, etc. How would he prepair for that?

    1. Have a drink just like McCallum did . . . who is probably laughing right now, sitting back with a nice bucket of rye. “Told ya not ta fcuk with me Justin you bitch. Told ya.”

  8. While we rage on about The Little Shithead, he is in Burnaby cheerleading for his candidate against Jag=Meat Singh, NDP Leader/disaster.
I hope no one at the rally last night had the bad taste to ask f***head about Lavalingate.

We DO need a revolution in this Country, but we have no leaders, just a bunch of old men who have wised up to the bs that is the system in Canada. Show me the way, I can file a chainsaw quite well ,so sharpening a guillotine shouldn’t be much of a challenge.

    1. Don, why on earth would you want to provide a sharp guillotine, is that your humanity showing? A better form of justice might be to send them over to their jihadi buddies and supply the butter knives!

        1. Bruce, the problem with that is those wood chippers produce carbon monoxide and noise pollution. The question is: feet or head first?

    1. The finding will be as I suggested in another thread: “Thcandal? What thcandal?”.

All this makes one wonder just what Prinz Dummkopf meant when he said “Canada’th back.”

    2. Steve, not wanting to sound too pessimistic, but the “ethics” commissioner is known to be Trudeau’s patsy. Any investigation from him will be rigged from the start. No hope here.

    3. The only question needed from Judy Wilson-Raymond is ” Did you take any affirmative Action in the SNC case”
Answer is NO… She has done nothing wrong…

The next person to be asked that same question is David Lametti…His answer will be Yes….and that should start the
grilling of WHY? WHO? HOW? ….He knows why he was promoted and that may be a crime, or not. He was picked for a reason… It’s David Lametti that needs to testify under oath….

Start chasing the right people and you may catch the bastards

      1. Judge: Did you take any affirmative Action in the SNC case

JW-R: No. Not then. The only Affirmative Action I was involved in happened “because it’s 2015”.

  9. So just exactly WHAT is that “honorable” judge going to do about it? After all, that case is in HIS court…

    1. Yes, I agree. The long ones.
There has to be one or more Liberals who are getting fed up with this moron. He’s making them look bad and impeding
      their chances for re-election.

    2. Wayne Long is already on the outs with the party. I’m not even sure if he’ll be running for reelection, or if the PM would sign his nomination papers. So he’s coming at this from a different angle from most other Liberals; he knows his goose is already cooked.

  10. Calling it now; the admiral will skate because of Juthtin’s interference in the case and sue us for defamation or something legal sounding and we the tax payer will be stuck paying the lawyers for both teams plus the settlement to admiral kickback while the media praises the retarded son of our worst Prime Minister.

    1. “..….and guess which Nazi woman will replace him.”
That is the nastiest speculation one could imagine. Our next PM, a delusional, Oompah Loompa nutbar.

  11. Admiral North is being shanghaied also…Brison get out of gov’t for WHAT reason!!!!! He is up to his eye balls in the North case and I do hope they release the redacted papers without the redaction. I guess we wait and see on the SNC Lavalin, this one stinks to high heavens! I wonder whom got what in the way of money….. The stalling on giving North’s lawyer the papers they asked for makes a person wonder what the h*ll!!! THIS LIE-BRAL GOV’T “STINKS”…THEY ARE LIARS and I hope they get caught!!

  12. I am done with captcha. It don’t stop the trolls, and it doesn’t work til after 15 clicks.

So have fun with the only people commenting being Allan S, Andrew, unme,…

    1. I started running Firefox with NoScript and all I see is a checkbox that says I’m not a robot. Never anything else.

    2. You may need a different browser
I use bing with no problem. Usually get it the first time on my mobile.

  13. Okay.

What are Canadians prepared to do about it?

The Liberals and their supporters are unbelievably corrupt. The press and the courts are in the pockets of the government.

Because Canadians were glad to never have any checks or balances in their government, the situation has become so grave that there is no real legal recourse to unseat the criminals in power.

The only way out is for this country to go under. Imagine the fall of the former Soviet Union and multiply it (maybe Venezuela). Things have to get so bad that fat, little Canadian children will be the new faces on the UNICEF boxes.

When an entire culture accepts this sort of criminality, things will get worse before they get better (if at all).

    1. O K, Canada will NEVER become Venezuela.Whereas Venezuela was lead by a military thug /communist whose only talent was thievery of legitimate businesses and the occasional murder of opponents, Canada is run by some of the smartest business people on the planet.

PC et al will NOT allow Canada to go down, we WILL become Mexico North as has been obvious since Mulroney’s machinations, but the country will survive with the New Middle Class being government employees, and the remaining 60% scrambling to make a living. Many of those will succeed in their private endeavours, so our permanent underclass will be probably about the same as Mexico’s.

Now,if we could only do something about this f***ing climate………..

    2. My vote is parked. Not voting for Mr.2% or for madmax. I will vote yes in a separation referendum, so the quicker cuckold canunkistan goes under the better
I do have an exit plan that will see me through.

        1. Why go anywhere? Once BC is no longer permitted access to ship goods across Alberta without full inspection, nor Canada permitted to fly in Alberta airspace, and Alberta goods allowed by UN treaty, access to tidewater, why go anywhere? Also north eastern BC can be invited in as well as Saskatchewan. Alberta doesn’t need Canada.

        2. Not to put too fine a point on it, but without Canadian interference in Alberta, not to mention the outright theft of hundreds of billions of Alberta money, Alberta and Albertans will manage just fine.
Lowest taxes on the continent, an educated populace. Control over immigration, one language.
Now tell me why we should stay?

        3. I respect your opinion on most topics but on this one you are dead wrong. Alberta is not Quebec. Quebec is a leech. Alberta is the parasite’s host. Quebec has been feeding off of Alberta for decades. Time to get rid of the leeches

  14. Trudeau Two is a boon to an Independent Western State.
That the Eastern Bloc will continue to vote Liberal is almost a dead certainty.
Our comrades of the East love free stuff and public education is now so successful they believe getting their own money back is government generosity.
The corruption is a feature not a bug of the Canadian Charter of Rights.
If Westerners want a viable state to ensure the future of their descendants, they have little choice left.
Because Confederated Canada has discarded most of the conditions that made this a country.

For decades the East has rewarded dishonesty, thievery and outright fraud.
None of these things make for a viable state.
I see nothing worth saving in the Kleptocracy of Canada.

As for federal pensions and such, give your head a shake, the debt made those impossible decades ago.
Canada, native word for damn fine ponzy scheme.

  15. The issue is very simple: do we have a government-in-waiting?

I doubt this very much, actually: what fresh hell would have ever possessed Andrew Scheer to meet with representatives of SNC-Lavalin on mitigation of the criminal charges?

As a well over-used position would dictate: “I can’t comment, or meet with you, as the matter is before the courts…”

He absolutely, IMO (terrible speaker, broken party, again, bought and paid for by the supply management lobby) would not take that position, of course, to accord the current Prime Minister a second term, who does not deserve it, in the least.

There is an emergent theory in the U.S. about John McCain and Mitt Romney: their only objective was to lose gracefully.

I’m not interested in losing, gracefully or otherwise: it’s only February, and the election’s in October, so that gives us double the time to replace this loserville than it took the Ontario Tories to install Doug Ford.

    1. “…what fresh hell would have ever possessed Andrew Scheer to meet with representatives of SNC-Lavalin on mitigation of the criminal charges?”

I agree. What possibly could have possessed Scheer to do that? Unless…the only thing that comes to mind…maybe it was suggested to him to do so by the backroom boys representing the Laurentian bunch. Do you remember Brian Mulroney’s book, “So What Are the Boys Saying”?

    2. We all agree the Trudeau Grit crony machine has got to go. Why can’t we unite around that idea? Scheer is not being removed.

Beware the false utopia of western separation even after fulsome fiscal fiefdom. Canadians still like their Escape from Freedom

There is nowhere near enough public support for the idea, and if that were to happen, it would be bloody and painful.

  16. Regarding The Libranos.
The strength of their moral compass is measured by the size of the paper bag of cash in front of them.
It is the creed they live by.

  17. This may be the amazing time when the ___ wait for it & believe it might even be possible; the throughly indoctrinated Canadian Citizen might possibly __ I know it sounds impossible __ Take to the Streets ___ there I said It.

    1. Every attempt in and out of the books will be used to cover the arses of the Libranos with tricky dicky maneuvers. The Ethics Commissioner will be of no use beyond giving Twerp Trudeau and company a reason to not answer questions.
If this isn’t corruption I don’t know what corruption is.

  18. Actually the NDP are no help to even suggest the Ethics Commissioner investigate this, it’s beyond the realm of ethics, it’s playing to the Libranos, a stalling tactic to hope it all goes away.
This requires an RCMP investigation pronto.
