  5. This man may be stupider than Trudeau as hard as that is to believe. The reality is that the US produced record crops in many areas in 18 and production of things like high quality milling wheat is shifting back into the northern US due to bad harvest weather downgrading crops on the northern prairies. Montana harvested its biggest wheat crop ever in 18 and that will grow as they convert Conservation Reserve Program land back into farmland over the next few years. Agriculture in Canuckistan in shrinking again after a number of years of growth and I am a farmer so seeing it first hand.

  11. Bill Nye continues to reach new depths of idiocy. In one short comment, he was proved his blithe ignorance of climate, geography, international relations, and existing transportation capabilities of the US closest neighbour and friend.
    So, in a lot of ways, he is an example of a typical American. Sorry, I don’t mean to slag the good ones, but for decades, I’ve run into these types, ignorant and arrogant of their surroundings, Bill Nye typifies that.

  12. It’s astounding how much he gets wrong in 1:34. How can a guy who claims to be a scientist be that ignorant of reality? If he really is that unintelligent, he’d barely be able to dress himself in the morning. It’s an act, of course. 1:34 of catastrophic AGW doom bullshit…and easily to disprove.

    CAN-US have a one of the biggest network of transportation links between two countries on the planet. Getting goods between the countries is incredibly easy, the only snags are political.

    From observations, not models, global increase in temperature is somewhere around .12 – .14 Celsius *per decade*. So, about .013 per year, more in the north and less near the equator and primarily warmer nights and warmer winters. This type of warmth extends growing seasons for the foreseeable future. Basically, this means there’s no noticeable negative temp effect at all. Besides, the range of temperature variation for crop production is huge. One merely needs to look at all the countries that grow any one species of grains, fruit, vegetables.

    He also completely ignores advancements in crop science. Gene editing and GMOs are making crops more resilient to climate, less affected by pests, more nutritious and requiring less fertilizers. So farmers of the future will need fewer inputs per acre or bushel.

    Complete BS from start to finish…a typical modern “expert” that us stupid average Joes must not disagree with or be allowed to voice any other, non-expert opinions. (/s).
    People like Nye do a great job of increasing CAGW skepticism among unwoke, regular people.

  13. I think this is wonderful and that Canada should jump on the proverbial bandwagon! I’m sure PMTrudeau believes it, and that it wouldn’t be too much of a mental stretch for him to justify building pipelines for shipping wheat, barley and corn to keep our southern neighbours from starving to death. Then, when the projections prove to be the usual crappola (actually, bizarrely worse than usual in this case), the pipelines would be available for shipping another product. That’s a win/win for sure!

  15. Even using the warmists’ fake numbers, what are we doing – moving the climate 20 miles north? I suspect the Sahara Desert produces more food than the landlocked US states. It seems to support more people. Human ingenuity has divorced agriculture from climate. California produces phenomenal amounts of agricultural products in former desert wastelands.

    2. Truth is the Earth’s recent climate has never exceeded its natural variability. Any cherry picked trends prove nothing connected to manmade activity. If the Earth truly has “unnaturally” warmed significantly then statistically the likelihood of record low temps should approach zero. Which, of course, is not happening. The only logical conclusion is that man’s contribution to climate remains indeterminate and therefore is much less than natural variability. Climate model forecasts do not prove AGW any more than fortune tellers can accurately predict lottery ticket numbers. Heck the models can’t even recreate the known past climate. The fear mongering that AGW fanatics are doing is akin to yelling “FIRE” in a crowded theatre. Despicable lying thieves.

      That said, having worked at engineering firms for over twelve years of my career, no one is more ignorant and arrogant than an engineer outside his field of expertise.

      It is unbelievable just how much traction this fraud has gained in our society. People just do not realize that their standard of living will drop precipitously to the level of their grandfather’s and great grandfather’s youth, and that does not even begin to consider the government controlling much more of our lives.
