In a letter to Pelosi, Trump told her that a congressional delegation trip she intended to take to Brussels, Egypt and Afghanistan, which he dismissed as a “public relations event,” is now “postponed.”
 
“We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the shutdown is over,” Trump wrote. “I also feel that, during this period, it would be better if you were in Washington negotiating with me and joining the Strong Border Security movement to end the shutdown.”
 
The announcement means that Trump will refuse to provide military transportation for lawmakers to make the journey, which would have included a stop in a war zone, according to the White House.
 
Trump added, however, if Pelosi wanted to go ahead by flying commercial, “that would certainly be your prerogative.”

  2. Children, police and other citizens dying at the hands of illegal aliens. Unpaid federal employees. Pelosi trying to shut down STOU address, saying there would be “security” concerns. Trump says Pelosi needs to be here, not jetting of to Davos et al.

    The latter is the only area of outrage on the left. The Identists are entitled to their entitlements. Says it all imho.

Nor would ANY of them be fighting for a wall on the border to prevent EASY passage. Every one of us who voted for Trump KNEW this is how he would WORK for the PEOPLE … not the corporate elites and lobbyists. We KNEW he wasn’t a “New York Liberal”. How’d that meme work out.   7. Before we learned about that letter Trump sent, CNN had a headline that said Pelosi in a ” master move” had “outplayed Trump” ( Because she had canceled the state of the union event )

  9. Negotiate? Mr. President, with respect, Nancy Pelosi was thrust into her position by dint of massive fraud and does not command the confidence of any loyal American.

    She is an agent of a conspiracy to overthrow you and replace you with a stooge of her globalist paymasters, over the objections of every loyal American. Nothing will satisfy her but seeing you hauled off to prison without due process of law and with no chance of coming out alive.

    Declare a national emergency, and use your emergency powers to suspend the House of Representatives and order a new election—this time with only those able to produce proof of US citizenship allowed to vote.

    Then send US Marshals to Nancy’s house to take her into custody—and gather evidence of her giving aid and comfort to enemies of the United States.

    Have them dig around in the garden too. Even money says they’ll find shallow graves of children in there.

      The President has no such power, not even in an emergency, NOR SHOULD HE. Such a power would inevitably be abused by a tyrant to continue suspending the House until the election returned a House makeup to his liking. Or simply suspend it indefinitely and refuse to permit to reconvene.

    What does Trudeau use, 300,000 litres of jet fuel before breakfast travelling to photo ops at various far flung locales? Prime Minister Personal Day has probably used more fossil fuels in his tenure, than the entire population of the province of Alberta.

    Maybe the Right Honorable Prime Minister from Carlson Wagonlit is a better fit? Who is his preferred travel planner?

            Go read about ‘pacing and leading’. Scheer is matching the pace of Canada’s mushy middle, which is where elections are won and lost, not appeasing the rabid dogs at either end of the spectrum. When the time is right, he will begin to lead them in the right direction.

    This is funny. And Nancy thought she had The Donald by the sac. I can just hear her on the bus. Bet the bus driver got an earful.

    1. She personally was probably not on the bus. In a limo with her Secret Service Detail. In case you are not aware, the Speaker is number 3. If the Pres, VPres were incapacitated, she gets the nuclear codes.
      That is really, really scary.

    1. Is it? All Trumps opponents continue to vastly underestimate him, so, this may very well be true, given the typical bureaucracy that loathes anything to the right of Marx

    2. I noticed an article last week where it laid out the percentages of the various federal departments deemed ‘nonessential’. Almost all outside Defence & Homeland Security were well over half. For some the percentage was 90% or higher. Something like 95% at Housing & Urban Development, I think (why that particular department isn’t 100% is beyond me. It has no constitutional foundation and shouldn’t exist. But I digress).

      It would be a tremendously unique opportunity to nuke much of the bureaucracy and salt the earth under its remains, but I question whether even Trump has the courage to do it. He g-d well SHOULD, though.
