  1. Gab could transfer to Colocall, a Ukraine based service. Under Ukraine law it is much harder to take down based on wild accusations. Just a thought.

  2. There is a Reddit forum called Don’s Guard that started out consisting entirely of reposts of various threats against Trump, mostly from Facebook or Twitter posts. It’s now a forum of general Trump-related news, but there are literally thousands of threats against Trump archived on there.

  3. The real issue is the failure of our society (across all western countries) to equate the neo-Nazi small minority with the proto-communist larger minority. If you hold to an opinion that these are equally dangerous and worthless types of citizens of a free society, you are also in a small minority, but history shows that they are equally dangerous. Unfortunately there are some anti-communists who muddy the waters with vague statements that sound like this, “the Nazis were nowhere near as bad as the communists.” Wrong. They were very nearly equal. It’s too bad Hitler and Stalin couldn’t have arranged a closer and longer-lasting mutual destruction back around 1942-44.

So it becomes an easy target to silence neo-Nazis, who really don’t pose that much of a collective danger to our freedom, while there is no effort made to punish anyone for enacting any or all of their proto-communist agenda within the public sphere. The neo-Nazis become convenient symbols of virtue signalling exercises that disguise the lack of virtue of many who engage in them. And this is nothing new, it has been a communist tactic since the war ended. Really, the only good thing anyone could possibly say about the USSR was that it helped to defeat Hitler’s ambitions. And they have milked that even past the expiry date of the USSR (if anyone really believes Putin is not Gorbachev’s direct successor, I only view Yeltsin as a (failed) reformer.)

It should be noted also that left-leaning governments have a strong temptation to fund and direct (secretly) small groups of neo-Nazis that can be rounded up and punished at convenient times. This was of course done in Canada in the 1990s. It has probably been done a lot more often than some realize in many countries. There is always a supply of available dupes.

  4. Well, if someone were to actually try, I believe this would enable Trump to basically get the courts to give him Twitter via a civil suit.

This is clearly editorial control. Twitter is not just a platform; they have declared themselves to be a publisher. And along with that comes the responsibilities for libel, slander,…
