    2. EU Justice Commissioner Says Media Must Be Regulated to Prevent ‘Hate’

      The shape of things to come, both in Europe and in the United States:

      Racial abuse, discrimination and the “bad version of nationalism” that promotes exclusion and hatred are on the rise, and the media may need to be regulated to help curtail the problem, European Justice Commissioner Věra Jourová warned today.
      A “dangerous” version of nationalism is “not only visible in the rising popularity of the extreme parties” but is also evident in the political mainstream, which “accept[s] some part of this rhetoric of division,” the commissioner said in a speech in Vienna, according to pre-released notes obtained by Brussels Playbook.

      Jourovà called on politicians and the press to take action.

      And I think we all know exactly what she means by “action.” By the way, her full title is European commissioner for justice, consumers, and gender equality, if you can imagine such a thing.

      In other words, if you’re for little or no “immigration,” that’s now called “exclusion.” If you find some cultures (such as your own) worthier than others, that’s “hatred.” If you put love of country over the EU, that’s “dangerous nationalism.” To demonstrate just how far the social-justice Left despises adherents of free speech (which must perforce include “hate” speech), take a gander at this justification for consumer/gender equality fascism. Count the buzzwords:

      “Media can build the culture of dialogue or sow divisions, spread disinformation and encourage exclusion,” the commissioner said. “The Brexit debate is the best example of that.” Politicians should “show responsibility” and “ restraint,” and must “realize that their words become justification for some people to act on their urges and their fears.”
      The Czech politician pointed to far-right protests in Chemnitz, the “anti-Soros campaign in Hungary or growing anti-Muslim or anti-Roma rhetoric” as examples of when “exclusion, discrimination and lack of respect for minorities have spilled over from the margins to the center and don’t meet enough resistance from the media, politicians or opinion leaders.”

      Allow me translate from the original Czech: leaders of the EU, like Democrats in America, don’t want to see one word or image in the press that contradicts their Leftist social opinions, and will soon enough react with the full force of the state to see that they don’t.

    And so it continues in Toronto “The Good” as a 15 year old boy gets shot and killed. But I’m guessing the shooter had legally purchased a legal weapon after getting his RPAL. I also assume they were on their way to the range and had an Authorization to Transport so they really only broke one medium-sized law by firing it outside of a range . . . and of course the murder thing.

        That’s why we need more sanctuary cities, or so I was told. Apparently, Edmonton isn’t going to be one, according to my alderman’s office. The “refugees” get to stay here and use local services without being deported while the documents they need but that have expired are being process.

        The story I was told was that they might be from, well, you know, “war-torn” countries or “their lives might be in danger” if they go back to do things properly or some such thing. Funny how it seems that all of them apparently come from places like that. Maybe it’s true, but it seems like rather a convenient excuse to let them stay.

        It’s people like my parents and me who legitimately came over by boat from Europe, followed the rules, and used our initiative and effort to get ahead who are the bad guys. We’re the ones who were the idiots by doing things properly.

        I pay taxes and I vote. I intend to make use of that fact in future elections.

He was on the radio here for a long time with the same routine he had over at SNN, then there was a change in ownership about the same time SNN folded and he had to go away for a while. When he came back he was still claiming to be a conservative, but thought the candidates were all too extreme except for Michael Chong (or was it Tommy Chong?). I swear if I hear him tell that god damn babe in swaddling clothes being smuggled out of Hungary to come here for a better life and he loves this country, that pinko fuckstick is gonna make me puke.

      The funny thing is, that station had been unchallenged #1 in the market for over 50 years, took a left turn and is now being beaten by CBC radio.

    Demographics are destiny, Toronto is now minority white European descent, Vancouver about 50 percent white European descent. Current immigration and S.E. Asian/Asian population growth(immigration & fertility) will be the majority in Canada by middle of this century.

    Canada can have women(families) having a replacement level of children or Canadian women can have a career come first with a resultant less than replacement number of children. This has been happening as 1971 was the last year couples had 2.1 children. (note-Lindsay Shepherd announced on her twitter account a few days ago that he is pregnant.)

    L- Extending her reasoning, I’d add. Since 1971 the Marxist version of feminism became dominant. Women as giving birth to the viability of our cultural future Demographics, a combination of mass migration from the 3rd world and below replacement birthrate for foundational Euro-Canadian families entails; that Canada being a culturally European Western Civilization will cease to exist during the next 30-60 years of this century.

    Canada as founded on British Liberty, a Magna Carta nation. That is no longer taught as a proud cultural heritage achievement to be cherished, protected and passed on. Both the judiciary and the educational systems have abandoned that. That precludes the current 3rd world migrant population transitioning to a ethnically mixed but politically Canadian Common-Law nation founded on British Liberty. I’ll let you take it from there.
