        “A lot(of Canadian farmers) are telling me that Class 7 is not a very good deal, that they would gladly do away with it because how do you justify taking less for your milk that you claim is under a cost of production and not give the benefit to the Canadian consumer, but export it? So you’re willing to produce for less for another country, but you’re not willing to produce for that same price for your own consumers… How is that a good thing?”

        2. For every dollar a US dairy farmer receives 28% comes from milk and 72% comes from government – a 257% subsidy. We charge 270% import duties on amounts over import quotas, roughly taxing out the dumping subsidy. It is likely that not one cent of duty has been paid because the trade is controlled by quota. In 2017, Americans sold $792 million in dairy products to Canada, while Canadians sold $149 million in dairy products to the U.S. The US has a 5 to 1 trade surplus in dairy and they cry like babies. They had a surplus in steel and put duties on Canada. Canada is likely the only country that the US has a trade surplus with and they can’t come up with a trade deal. Maybe Trump is a blithering idiot like the left believes.

        3. Food aid programs like the school lunch program are all lumped together and called agricultural subsidies. The American dairy farmer is not receiving cks from the American government. Read the article again. The complaint happens when cheap Canadian dairy products (class 7) are sold into the export market. The Canadian dairy market is closed to competition at the same time as Canadian dairy is sold on the export market for 1/2 the price. Legitimate complaint IMO.

      i’ve tried experiment where i buy a trinket from Peru street vendor. i pay will little extra change and go to walk away and 99% will call me to give me back a nickel in change. Gotta luv em’ vs the pierced, tattooed and died progressives here living on a government handout & wanting ever more.

      For tax planning, to save paying taxes here, plan to give some to Canadian registered charity operating in Peru etc.

    1. Saw the most important part of the McCallum-Kavanaugh interview. The judge seems innocent of any charges. This ‘blood bath’ / circus is excruciating for him and family. It is not about him it is about denying President Trump the 5th Republican vote at the SCOTUS. You cannot prove a negative. The introduction of the 2nd woman to smear him with improper conduct is preposterous. They are using Saul Alinsky tactics to acquire a rejection of his confirmation for fear of the SCOTUS reviewing and cancelling the right to abortion.
