  1. a more “diverse” and “inclusive” campus environment.
The left is for “diversity” provided there is total uniformity of thought. Everyone must follow and love the dear leader.
This will just result in a stagnant society with no progress. We have a great model of how this works in practice: North Korea.

    1. “The left is for “diversity” provided there is total uniformity of thought.” That sums up the Maoling/Komsomol takeover of our universities. We have seen many attempts, some successful, of railroading dissenting professors out of the schools. Nest they will be putting dissenting professors out in the fields picking strawberries.

It seems that few, other than Professor Jordan Peterson and grad student Lindsey Shepard to our knowledge, are willing to expose the universities for the Marxist breeding grounds that they have become.

  2. Woo-hoo. Tell me something I don’t know.
Too many universities are candidates for a serious campaign of carpet bombing. But, that would only spread the disease.

  3. The left have officially overplayed their “diversity” card. There is nothing so lacking in “diversity” as a University. Lacking. As in opposite-of.

  4. Encourage diversity by restricting diversity? I went to university 40 or 50 years ago. I’m suspecting I could do a lot better today.

    1. Delingpole calls the students freaks. He underestimates the students, as it was the same mentality that led to the mass graves in Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany.

    1. Sick. That’s it … just sick.

No … I’ll add … ignorant. Ignorant to believe that “society” is what shapes your child’s sex. Your child’s biology. This is where “the gays” and the gender-benders get twisted in a knot.

Follow this carefully … If the supposition is that “society” “makes” children “become” male or female … then wouldn’t it stand to reason that “society” also makes one be gay, or lesbian, or confused (aka transgendered). So which is it? Are you “born that waty”? Or does “society” encourage you to be “that way”?

And if you’re “born that way” … what’s wrong with BEING a girl? Or boy?

Hint: Your Personal will, er preference doesn’t alter biology … not one little bit.

  5. Look. Can we just admit that universities were only ever finishing schools for the heirs and successors of the scumbags who rule over us? What good have they ever actually done anybody?

Close them down and replace them with nothing. Make industry hire and train their own STEM researchers, and make Chinese oligarchs find another way to find American husbands for their little empresses. The rest of us can read Plato at home.

    1. The Khan Academy … https://www.khanacademy.org/ … wouldn’t exist if not for our leftist public school FAILures. Now you can do even MORE than read Plato at home … you can receive instruction in calculus and differential equations as well.

  6. That part of the institutional left masquerading as universities uses the (corrupted) word “diversity” as diversion from the reality that they would rather cocoon their ideology by censoring competing thought.

  7. and once more with feeling they are – – – – – -. Fill in the blanks.

  8. I see less and less point to the continued existence of these curious institutions. Even when they are attempting to do their jobs they are not doing them well. I reference two fairly recent scholarly publications, “The Coffins of the Priests of Amun” and “The Science of Roman History.” Both are collections of articles, by supposed leaders in their fields. The articles which I read were badly written, to greater or lesser extent; with syntactical errors, a few grammatical errors, incoherence, and jargon slinging. The worst, on archeobotany, was by an emeritus professor at the University of Leicester.

Physicists, who are my most immediate colleagues, usually write correctly. Modern writings by chemists are, on the other hand, all too often painful. And it is downhill from there.

Faculty members these days are certainly no Victor Davis Hansons or Thomas Sowells.

Why bother inflicting the modern university on young minds?
