Russia! Russia! Russia!

David P. Goldman

I have no reason to doubt the allegations that a dozen Russian intelligence officers meddled in the U.S. elections of 2016, but this was equivalent of a fraternity prank compared to America’s longstanding efforts to intervene in Russian politics.

Payback, that’s why.

  1. The media party and swamp creatures was going to accuse Trump of acting like a puppet no matter what happened with Putin.

    1. True. I am watching BNN-Bloomberg News this morning, and Trump is taking a hammering. The glimpses of the other channels show that the corrupt media cartel are going completely ballistic. Even before the Helsinki meeting, the atrocious CBC News had an opinion essay accusing Trump of being a paid agent of Putin. This is how hysterical CBC News has become.

      1. I just came back from day surgery and while in operating room all the doctors and nurses believe what the MSM is lying to them about.

Just got home and my grandaughter was watching a YTV show called Chucks Choice and the had a president of the world that solves all of the worlds problems…

The programming of the lied veil of untruths onto our people’s continues unabated…

The only word to describe the sheeple who feed of the breast of corrupt governments, bureaucracs and MSM if you are all fools and you need to wake the fuck up…

I hate this malevolent world and so does our creator…

The MSM will not exists soon enough for God is angered and has had enough.

    2. Exactly the point I made yesterday.

There is not a single thing Trump could have done or said at that summit to make the left happy. Nothing! Trump’s crystal clear understanding of this, though, is maybe the single biggest factor that sets apart a Trump from the likes of a Harper, a Scheer, or even a Bush.

I am so frigging tired of the left’s constant lies and extremely selective memories. When you consider Hilary’s stupid, suckhole reset/overload button, Obama’s quiet little promise to Putin of some future concessions, etc, etc, etc, Trump has been the only grown-up American leader to address Putin. So, could progressives EVER grasp the logic that you don’t send an effeminate half-breed or a sleazy old woman to deal with the likes of a machismo-focused Putin? Ha, no way. (and to anyone offended that I called Obama a half-breed…. would you prefer I called him a racist or a Nazi?)

Trump is a doer, and he has brought that work ethic into his public career. Dems, and many Reps, would prefer to use society’s problems as propaganda tools rather than take measured steps to solve them. ‘Homelessness’ being the PRIMO example. Probably billions thrown at this by now, and progressive ‘solutions’ only keep growing the problem!

The bottom line for me….. I feel better about the direction the world is taking today than I did before the summit. Well done, President Trump!

    3. You sum up all the fake furor well. As one commentator said, and I paraphrase, if Trump walked across the Potomac his swamp dweller critics in both parties would say he can’t swim.

  2. Very good article, excellent assessment of Trump’s statement, Russia, Pootin and the incoherent, naive US policy towards the Siberian Mongols.

  3. Posted Jul 17, 2018 by Martin Armstrong

I really do find it totally beyond belief how even Republicans, such as House Speaker Paul Ryan, are coming out to criticize Trump saying Trump should have blasted Putin for interfering in the US election. He said, “There is no question that Russia interfered in our election and continues attempts to undermine democracy here and around the world.” Ryan So if the emails were NOT altered and the voting machines were not altered, added: “The president must appreciate that Russia is not our ally.”
The USA has interfered in Canadian elections under Obama to get Justin Trudeau elected, the French elections, and stuck its nose in BREXIT vote threatening the

  4. When I voted in 2016 I considered the pathetic failure of both of our dominant political parties to propose for election to the presidency a man or woman of gravitas. As many have observed, “How bad does a candidate have to be to lose to Donald Trump?”

To paraphrase Cassius, “The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our Russians / But in ourselves, that we are underlings.”

  5. I did get a chuckle out of Trump’s assertion that he believes Putin before he believes his own intelligence services. Funnily enough I agree with him. The US intelligence agencies are completely unbelievable and have have been for decades. Poor old clueless GWB was tossed into infamy because he believed his intelligence agencies and went to war with Iraq having been told Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. I won’t bother trying to document the number of time the US intelligence agencies have tried to mislead Trump and even tried to stage a coup against him.

    1. Joe, Bush was/is part of the deep state. Iraq and Syria were cooperating on a nuke program in 2003. The Norks had just started to help Syria build their reactor that Israel bombed in 07. Sadam had yellow cake, 5000 old chem war head, and a fully functional nuke lab. Also, Germany was building chem plants in both Syria and Iraq in 2003. Bush just didn’t want to use NSA “tapes” of phone conversations, and expose to what extent the NSA was spying

    2. “… he believes Putin before he believes his own intelligence services. Funnily enough I agree with him.” I agree. There is plenty of evidence that the intelligence agencies were actively supporting Hillary and trying to undermine Trump’s candidacy through now commonplace illegal operations. And, before Trump, there is plenty of evidence, for which the Democrats have not yet been prosecuted for, that Obama’s regime was actively going after all conservative groups and using the IRS and intelligence agencies as weapons.

    3. I too have my doubts. Even Putin insinuated KGB are much better at hiding their tracks. I’m going with the Awan brothers, though surely Russians were sniffing around. CBC btw has uncovered the following bombshell, they googled for “Trump” and “Clinton.” My God are there no lengths these Russians won’t go to, including taking over the POTUS.

We should nuke them. No wait, was that my out loud voice?

Yes, US intelligence is a joke, having been taken over by political hacks like Brennan, Clapper, Comey and many others.

Conclusions in search of evidence. Brennan, btw in 90% of the world would currently be clapped in irons for calling their leader a traitor. Unfortunately the insanity is reaching further down. My family in Ontario are convinced Trump is the next Hitler who will get all of us blown up. No context or reference to reality, but they’re sure.

This is no surprise considering the pap they’re getting fed by the so-called media in Central Canada. So sad though.

Then again the left was quite sure Ronny Raygun was going to get us all killed.

I am now convinced unequivocally part of Trump’s strategy is to drive the three axes of his opposition – the establishment, the lying media and the obstructionists – utterly batty and setting their hair on fire at every phrase or even “wink.”

He doesn’t just enjoy it, he keeps them outraged, unhinged and off balance, unable to present a coherent alternative.

My family’s emotional response and that insane NYT video of Putin humping Trump has confirmed it all for me.

  6. So a few Syrian Islamists were so desperate that they turned up at the Israeli border looking for asylum, claiming, correctly, that if they stayed in Syria Assad would butcher them like the prize pigs they are. Israel denied them entry and sent them to their well-deserved doom.

Russia saved America, just as she saved Syria. And the American globalists can no longer even count on pretending to have a Jewish grandmother to save them. Israel hates the globalists too.

With nowhere to run, the globalists now understand that it is only a matter of time before they are brought to justice (expropriation, execution, disposal of ashes without ceremony in unmarked grave, full documentation of their ugly careers to a candid world.)

Payback? The Russians were the lab rats of the globalists’ most notorious social engineering experiment for eighty years. Payback is long overdue—and the Russians repay their enemies with relish. Ask the Germans.

Meanwhile, the globalists still owe Israel 500 billion US dollars for Jewish property stolen or destroyed in the war—enough to repay her entire national debt. After Helsinki she’s a step closer to getting the money back.

(I’d like to see a single globalist DARE call the Russian soldier given the honour of pointing a pistol at the globalist’s cerebellum a “Siberian Mongol.”)

    1. “Payback? The Russians were the lab rats of the globalists’ most notorious social engineering experiment for eighty years. Payback is long overdue—and the Russians repay their enemies with relish. ”

Ugh really a$$hole? So have they killed off their ex commies? Oh wait… they fellate an ex-KGP thug for almost two decades. Because Siberian Mongols never change. They worship their tyrants. And if the tyrant isn’t tyrannical enough they replace him with one that is. That was what russian revolution was all about, those subhumans could not handle even the most basic freedom. Soviet union was Russian empire under new management. Nothing else. None imposed it on them, they brought it upon themselves. Good. Pity their betters (which is pretty much everyone) got caught in crossfire.

      “…only a matter of time…”
About a third of conscripts in Pootinista army are mooselimb, yep only a matter of time till they will be again killing millions of their own. Will buy pay-per-view.

  7. The US has interfered in many countries elections. Perhaps we should ask the US, “Please name a country where you have not interfered in their elections?”
Meanwhile the Russians have interfered in US and western countries elections since the 1950’s. What is new? Hillary spent something like a billion dollars on her campaign. The Russians spent something like $50k to $2 million depending on who you want to believe. Hilary lost because of Russian interference? Perhaps she should have hired better marketers.

    1. “The Russians spent something like $50k to $2 million”

And is there any reason to believe the Russians weren’t paid with American dollars?

  8. All those attacking Trump and calling him a traitor are reflecting their own traitorous sins back onto Trump…

Trump now knows who are all the true traitors of The Republic of The United States from both parties in Government…

The let their true colours be shown…

    Drain the swamp…

    MAGA

    1. Hopefully the medic is right. Other wise the modern day Praetorian Guard (deep swamp) might just take him down like Julius.

    2. What if, imagine….. what if the Mueller “Witch-Hunt” is in fact all theatre? Something to distract the Dems, and neverTrumpers, while Sessions and his team are fine tuning indictments?

Awhile back I saw a report that there was 24,000 indictments just waiting to be launched. You need a very big distraction, to keep this from getting noticed. Of course deranged Leftists could not believe the signs of Hillary’s campaign nosedive……. completely deluded.
      What if….?

  9. If Trump had blasted Putin for interfering in the US election the ensuing media headlines would look like “Trump Admits His Election Illegitimate”. Muellers timing of announcing indictments just three days before the Trump/Putin meeting was a trap that Trump didn’t step in.

    1. Both Russia and the US are to blame. It is a sign of maturity to recognize that you are not perfect and the thing you most accuse the other of is the very thing you are guilty of. That is not left or right thinking. That is adult thinking versus child thinking.

      1. The point is they are not even remotely equivalent. That is a common mistake of the left. Though it seems trump apologists on the right make the same mistake.

  10. Trump warned Angela Merkel and the Europeans not to become dependent on Russian gas just last week. The week before that, the US signed new defensive agreements with Sweden and Finland which were clearly aimed at limiting Russia.

He in no way endorsed Putin or said he was a nice man yesterday. But he did say that the last three administrations made serious mistakes in taking steps that Russia saw as threatening to its security, including encouraging the election of Ukrainian leaders who would deprive Russia of its historic Black Sea ports. It was naïve for the Bush and the Obama administrations to think that Russia would stand by and allow that to happen – and it didn’t.

Trumps words yesterday may seem to contradict the wariness of Trump’s real world efforts to oppose Putin’s influence across the globe, but talk is cheap, and Obama’s accommodation of Putin – remember his “ I will have more flexibility after the election “ remark to Dmitri Medvedev, and allowing the Russians into Syria and Hillary Clinton’s uranium one sale to the Russians – were real.

Trumps words yesterday may have just been the equivalent of saying “ nice doggie” as he takes steps to prevent it marauding against US interests. At the very least, publicly recognizing the past US foreign-policy errors towards Russia may make it a little easier to get Putin to give the US something it wants in negotiations, and reiterates that the US does not seek to depose Putin so long as his actions are not hostile to US security.

All these goals are proper aims of a sound US foreign-policy.

    1. I suspect Trump’s message to Putin was similar to his message to Kim: We both gain a lot more by working together than by going to war. He showed both of them who has the biggest stick on the playground then asked them if they wanted to play nice instead.
Shades of Mattis when he begged people not to make him kill them.

  11. when your greater enemy , the western news media, denounces you for talking to your lessor enemy, Russia……………………………………………

    1. Exactly!

As a number of comments here have already said, including David Goldman’s article, it seems to be just fine when the US interferes in other countries elections, even in Canada’s. The only reason this Trump/Putin presser has exploded is because Trump’s mortal enemies think they have a wedge with which to denigrate and attempt to take him down.

Julius Caesar must be chuckling at the machinations going on.

      1. So you are saying that Russia’s meddling – invasion of Crimea, murdering of diplomats etc is EQUIVALENT to what the US is doing?

        1. Gord, with out context, you come off sounding like the fool you often play in here. Seth Rich, Vince Foster, J Kennedy, R Kennedy, 31 dead in the failed faults flag operatio0n of the USS Liberty. I could go on, as Klintons list is about as long as you need to refute your bullshit. It is often to your advantage to not post, as you have very limited comprehension of people matters

          1. Thank you.
I forgot to mention Obama’s interference in Israel’s last election.

Nikita Khrushchev gave Crimea to Ukraine. In hindsight, this was kind of a dumb move as it was Tsarina Catherine II that conquered Crimea from the Ottomans, created a Khanate there and annexed it in 1783. So, not to defend Putin’s invasion, but this has been Russian territory by right of earlier conquest.

  12. This is about the craziest load of BS I’ve ever seen…
First, this happened under Obama and the democrats…..who got caught tapping Merkel’s phone, along with I think Brazil and Panama…..

LIke the US didn’t interfere in Panamas election by invading them and taking out Noriega

    1. “First, this happened under Obama and the democrats…..who got caught tapping Merkel’s phone, along with I think Brazil and Panama…..”

It’s not illegal for a sovereign state to tap into another sovereign state’s communications. If it were, everyone in the NSA, CSEC, GCHQ and all other national equivalent agencies* across the world would be in jail.

      * When the Brazilian government got all steamed about this as a result of the Snowden theft of NSA files, oddly enough, no outraged Brazilian bothered to ask what sort of monitoring of foreign states ABIN (the Brazilian national intelligence agency) and Brazilian military intelligence conduct.

  13. Well guys/gals the ‘truth’ is….liberals lie, conservatives lie. We all believe whatever we choose to and everything else is beneath contempt. Everybody now has their own truth, facts aside including those of us who inhabit SDA.

I think Trump is trying to reset the world in Americas image. Good for him – I doubt he will suceed.

Russia is a shadow of what we thought they were during the cold war. The country has been robbed of it’s wealth by putin and his oligarch friends. Turned out they could put men in space but couldn’t put shoes on their citizens feet. We were fed stories of their military might that turned out to be bullshit. Yes they probably had enough initial fire power to inflict sever damage but didn’t posess the infrastructure to carry on a sustained war.

Putin is playing to this illusion by doing what comes naturally to a russian – devious meddling. This same story has played out for the past 75 years or more. The US does the same.

Here on SDA we should be pissed about how the US interfered in our last election that allowed a librano win.

  14. There is every reason to doubt the veracity of accusations, which are not facts. There have been NO facts ever presented to show Russian interference on US elections, let alone electing Trump. Time to drain the swamp and hang it out to dry.

  15. Trump trust Putin more than Clapper, Brennan, Strzok, Page, Comey, and the rest of the lying fools in the U.S. intelligence agencies?

  16. I’m of the Reagan school of thought. “Trust, but verify.” I think the whole press conference was a troll event. Do I trust Russia? Hell no…never will, for obvious and even personal reasons. Do I think Trump trusts Putin? Nope. However, look at the media. He has them screaming. BUT…(and this is important)….he has them screaming after taking inordinate steps to show the American public that the press cannot be trusted in the least. Some of the shallow thinkers out there will immediately take the opposite opinion of the press (whether they are correct or not).

Russia has all it’s eggs in one basket….energy. They are dependent upon the EU (or certain factions of the EU) to create deals to assure that their oil and gas products have a home (and produce revenue). If they can’t do that, or if the price of oil barrels declines significantly, their economy goes into the crapper. Whether Russia will admit it or not, they are dependent on the US (who is now the biggest refiner of oil) and in 2019 will become the biggest producer of oil.

The fly in the ointment is China. China, also, needs an ever growing supply of oil. Historically, Russia and China do NOT get along. This could change, and is one of the biggest leverages Russia has when dealing with the US. So, Trump, who has started a half-assed trade war with China is moving to create a more favorable relationship with Russia. Don’t think China hasn’t noticed this. And, don’t think it isn’t tied to the ongoing tariff “war.” China’s economy is already in the toilet. The public numbers they provide are inflated. Hiring over 300,000 new riot police and solidifying their premier to a life time term is very telling.

Yesterday’s little press conference, IMO, was a bit more about China, than Russia. Just my thoughts.

  17. *crickets*

That’s what I hear. The most powerful man in the world, The President of the United States of America … asked a simple, understandable, question … while the entire planet was watching … yesterday, and nobody has volunteered an answer. *crickets*.

Let me reiterate his question … “Where are the Servers?” Where is HER basement server? Where is the DNC server? Where is the Congressional Democrat server? and let me add another fundamental question … Why DIDN’T the most sophisticated Intelligence and Law Enforcement Agencies on the planet take those servers into custody (by bursting into the Chappequa mansion at 4:30A … guns drawn) and have our nation’s TOP forensic IT specialists investigate and report their findings? Fear crying out loud … I watch more rigorous forensic investigations on the ID Channel!

But we ALL KNOW … why … NOBODY is answering MY President’s simple, direct question. Because the FBI, DOJ, NSA, et. al. alphabet stew … already know … what was on those servers … and on Huma Abedin’s laptop … and … They. Don’t. Want. To. Expose. It. To. The. Public.

So … MY President asks a simple, simple, question … and … *crickets*

Fkcu the FBI. Fkcu the DOJ. Fkcu each and every Obama political operative both formerly and still employed in these agencies. THEY are the THREATS to our Democracy. THEY behaved like a Banana Republic in shielding DIRTY politicians and political parties from prosecution … protecting a select few politicians from public scrutiny and TRUTH. THAT is/was the high CRIMES and MISDEMEANORS.

Do it, President Trump! Declassify EVERYTHING! … and watch the cockroaches scramble.

  18. The CBC would know more than most about being paid servants of Moscow, that’s for sure.

  19. I wonder if Trump’s comments in Helsinki were considered just as serious as Obama funneling 150 million dollars to Iran so they can develop a nuclear weapon.

  20. Mr Trump clarifies.

“The sentence should have been, ‘I don’t see any reason why I wouldn’t, or why it wouldn’t be Russia,’” he said Tuesday. “So just to repeat it, I said the word ‘would’ instead of ‘wouldn’t’ and the sentence should have been, and I thought I would maybe be a little bit unclear on the transcripts or unclear on the actual video, the sentence should have been, ‘I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be Russia.’”

Trump also said he accepts the U.S. intelligence community’s assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election. The president continued his administration would take action to stop Russia from attempting to meddle in the 2018 presidential election.”

I’m sure the media is all over this. BTW, everybody knows, including Trump, the Russians tried to interfere, albeit quite unsuccessfully in the US election, as they always do, and they always deny it too.

The spurious link to Trump and his campaign is actually what the DeMarxists are desperate to keep alive.

Personally, I think Hillary has been behind the smear from day one. Remember she is rumoured to have said they would all go to jail if any if this attempted framing became public.

Memo to the Resistance: Mueller is likely wrapping up.

On Russia; not the point kids. Trump was suggesting the accusation it was the Russians who hacked the DNC server and leaked it to Wikileaks that is suspect. Besides he got to make them all freak out as a bonus.

Now Mueller marches in a new list of suspects because the first list of suspects challenged him in discovery, and all the Mueller apparatchiks could muster was a social media dump.

Two, we are seeing the usual double standards by our media who seek to dumb down the public so their masters can seize back political power. Remember Obama saying to Romney in the POTUS debate, ” the 80s called, they want their foreign policy back …. the Cold War is over. Then again he was sure he’s have more flexibility once untethered from the voter as he told the Russian PM in a hot mike moment. Let’s not forget Hillary’s reset button that actually said overcharge.

Three, maybe Podesta should have used “password” as his password and maybe Debbie Wasserman Schultz shouldn’t have given the Awan con family access to sensitive DNC information. Maybe the media would like us all to forget Clinton laid open sensitive US intelligence secrets with here unclas server that a 12 year old could hack.

Fourth, and most obviously, US Presidents have met many world leaders, including Soviet & Russian, during the lowest points of the Cold War. That didn’t seem to bother the DeMarxists when Obama met with Medvedev. Nobody minded Obama making a nuclear deal with the rogue mullahs or Iran.

Agree or disagree with Trump. It doesn’t change the outright hypocrisy, childlessness and outright fabrications, all part of a desperate attempt to remove Trump from power, and more importantly reinstall the US political class to the rightful place as Americans’ lord and master. How they think this will translate in mid term electoral gains never fails to bemuse me.

      1. Are you actually saying anything at all? If you are, you missed your calling as a mystery writer. WTF are you talking about?

        1. Just doing my best to express the extent of my incredulously that someone could be this gullible.

  21. “The sentence should have been, ‘I don’t see any reason why I wouldn’t, or why it wouldn’t be Russia,’”

Geez. Might have been better if he’d used turdo la doo’s lame “peoplekind” excuse: I meant it as a joke.

  22. Shamrock. You wrote childlessness. I think you meant to write childishness but since so many on the left are childless that works too.

  23. Well, I’m just not seeing what Trump said is wrong, exactly.

I’ve read every one of Andy McCarthy’s columns at National Review on the issue in question (I’m assuming I don’t have to reiterate Mr. McCarthy’s qualifications to make the judgments he has), and here is what he wrote on December 11, 2017:

    https://www.nationalreview.com/2017/12/russian-cyberespionage-does-mueller-have-proof-beyond-reasonable-doubt/

It’s all in there (with the exception that the “U.S. intelligence community” was not united in its assessment, with something like 10 of 14 agencies declining to sign on to the assessment made by the agencies led by Clapper, Comey, Brennan, and Adm. Rogers; “U.S. intelligence community” should read, at best, “a portion of the U.S. intelligence community”).

Heck, McCarthy went after Mueller and Rosenstein (Scott Johnson @ http://www.powerlineblog.com called it “unload[ing]” here (the link is in there): http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2018/07/in-which-andrew-mccarthy-unloads.php) again yesterday in his column at NR for extending the presumption of innocence to the twelve GRU agents indicted last Friday.

So, what did people expect, exactly? Trump to cross-examine Putin at a news conference? What? Anyone?

    Complete nonsense.

    1. The DeMarxists are desperately trying to link three events, two real and one fictitious.

That is the genesis of his gaffe, not wanting to give them ammunition.

      1. The Russians tried to interfere in the election: fact.
      2. The DNC and John Podesta were hacked: fact.
      3. Trump is “colluding” with the Russians: fiction.

      Other considerations:
      4. Did the Russians hack the DNC & John Podesta? Far from factual at this point.
The new indictments, to replace the flawed old indictments, shed no new light on this matter.

      5. The Demarxists hope somehow, while trying to play the clock out to November, they can link Trump, in league with the Russians, to the DND hack; nice neat little package.

Zero evidence of that, more likely pure fantasy, so DeMarxists resort to Putin having “dirt” on Clinton.

I understand they’re also trying to link the NRA is their latest “indictment.”

      6. Meanwhile a political shit storm awaits the Dems, who even in spite of their own political tin ears do manage to control the House after November, have no chance of removing Trump, nor can they stop the legion of IG investigations. Then again they seek to nullify an election, so one can be sure on that point.

      7. Most importantly, this hate fest has no energy behind it, people are walking away. Now they’re back on their impeachment schtick. Another dead strategy. If they do lose bad in the midterms, fools like Brennan better buckle up tight. Why don’t they realize their negativity is playing right into Trump’s hands.

      8. Maybe more importantly, the economy is good, there is relative peace, the only clouds, except for myriad investigations of statists, are coming from DeMarxist rain dances. Trump can claim credit for that and tell voters his opponents want to hurl US politics into a mish mash of instability, in the hope for change back to the establishment way. These guys are desperate. If anyone has dirt on anyone, it’s in Trump’s hands. The guy they think is stupid is a couple of moves ahead of them.

And it’s driving them completely bonkers and sane people are wondering wtf they’re talking about. Trump will motivate his base while the lefts spins itself out of control, unable to get their vote out, except their hard core fascist identists.

  24. Heh ….

Many years ago, while growing in a socialist country run by communists at the very heart of Europe, the newspapers, run by communists would, without fail write how CIA decides on elections every four years.
Hell ….. once, working with a guy from Colorado, when Carter was running for president he just offhandedly said that as long as Ruskis approve of him, he will be president.

Hmm, hmm, hmm, sometime things don’t change.

    Let’s analyze this.

Obama by simple decision of his own ruled that all the spy agencies can share information between them. Depending how you count there are 4 or 17. If there are 4 then the other 13 are intelligence “community”.
If you wanna find a bad rules, this is one.
You see, before they had sort of check one on the other, they had to compete for information to be gathered. When they were independent of each other, they had to find information on their own and also had to find out what the others knew.
A very good system of check and balances.
As it is, socialists like Obama could not have that kind of system. If you have a unified sort of system where every agency can find out for free, no work to be done, it makes it much easier to control the message. Then you put your fellow traveller into the top position and you have full control.

So here comes that Brennan, the guy is a hack. Choses sides, of course being appointed by Obama, he serves his master.

That is why the former administration had no idea what the Ruskis did. Maybe they did though, just ignored it and let the following admin to deal with it, would not want to insult the Ruskis by telling them to stop it.
Such warm and fuzzy people would not do that.

    There is this other thing.
Remember, every president that criticized press, was put in place by the same.
So far, Trump is holding his own, though it seems today, he bend over a bit when he started beat his chest (a hyperbole) that he misspoke.
Nonetheless, he held his own relentlessly criticizing the media cartel. The media cartel frenzy is payback.
Most of it if not all is manufactured “news”. You may have noticed that they hang onto every word that comes out of Trumps mouth and they get it through their manufacturing process and out comes mostly bullshit. Trump will call them on it and the poor dears complain that he is on to them and that they can`t write and broadcast what they want and they want him out.

It is uneven fight of one guy pointing at them and hundreds pointing at him. Whatever you think of Trump, you got to admire his fight. On the balance of things he is holding his own.

We will see how long that lasts.

  25. We will see how long that lasts.
Interesting isn’t it? When it comes to the media every statement and every move Trump makes is the new smoking gun that will take him down and cause his removal from office. I don’t believe he can take this for the next 8 years. Who could?

    1. As Prime Minister Harper found out, when most of the media is ideologically opposed to you, you could be Mother Teresa and the media would find fault with how you brush your teeth.

  26. OMG, how far has Trump’s treason gone. Now Georgia is conspiring with Putin, just like Trump.

Well, just like Trump that they certainly aren’t, but that’s a minor detail in the Russia, Russia, Russia false narrative.

” … I consider it unfair that Trump’s performance in Helsinki has garnered harsher criticism than other incidents in recent memory. In 2012, for example, a hot microphone at a global nuclear security summit picked up then-President Barack Obama assuring Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that he would have “more flexibility” to negotiate with Putin after the presidential election.”

“Romney: Obama stopped missile defense shield ‘as a gift to Russia.” That treasonous bastard. No wait, did you say Obama?

Of course the traitorous Trump has put the missiles back, playing right into Putin’s hands. No wait. Want more treason?

“During a debate with GOP opponent Mitt Romney the same year, Obama casually dismissed the Russian threat, quipping: “The 1980s called; they want their foreign policy back.” Although Trump could certainly have been more forceful by condemning Putin’s crimes, his statements at the Helsinki press conference were nowhere near as concerning as his predecessor’s remarks about Russia.”

In DeMarxist land of course, words speak louder than actions; only a racist would disagree.

“This brings me to my second point: Trump’s actions toward Russia speak louder than words—and so did his predecessor’s. Indeed, the Obama administration’s foreign policy undermined America’s credibility in my region, which Putin considers Russia’s “backyard.” There are many opinions about Trump’s rhetoric on Crimea, but it is a fact that the Russian land grab in Ukraine happened on Obama’s watch.”

Just what do facts have to do with self-serving emotional outbursts? That this bunch thinks they can or will ride this to Congressional victory is baffling to say the least. It’s about power, never facts in evidence, for the global village idiot crowd.
