  1. Trump disgraced himself at today’s press conference with Putin.

    Why can’t SDA bring itself to criticize Trump on this? It’s one thing to be anti-Democrat/left; it’s another to abandon your political and ideological principles for the sake of party politics. Imagine your reactions if it had been a Democrat president making the remakes he made while standing side-by-side with the Russian president.

      1. What did he do? Seriously?

        Well, for one thing, when the Trump-appointed Director of National Intelligence, Dan Coates, warns him repeatedly that the Russian state did in fact interfere with the US presidential election and fully intends to continue doing so in the upcoming mid-terms, and then Trump stands beside Putin on TV and says, in public, that “My people came to me, Dan Coates, came to me and some others they said they think it’s Russia. I have President Putin. He just said it’s not Russia. I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it would be.”, then in essence, he’s just thrown his own DNI and the entire US foreign intelligence community under the bus.

        Ask yourself: why do that? First, when your entire foreign intelligence apparatus—the most extensive in world history—is telling you one thing, why reject their collective judgment? Second, and more importantly, why reject it publicly? And third, and most importantly, why reject it publicly and then publicly side with the adversarial state that your own intelligence agencies are saying did the meddling?

          The fake dossier, the fake Mueller “investigation,” the fake collusion link with Russia/Trump, and the entire shrill stream from unhinged DeMarxists, exemplified well with dossier salesman Brennan’s “treason” comments, have done more to undermine the American electoral process that Putin or the KGB have dreamed of.

          Many meetings were held with Soviet/Russian and US presidents, despite Soviet occupation of Eastern Europe and Afghanistan. Suddenly it’s a problem? Suddenly it’s a repudiation of US foreign policy and POTUS responsibilities.

          The DeMarxists, specifically Obama spoke of having “more flexibility after the election,” and Hillary gave the Russian neo Soviets a “reset button.” That seems far more traitorous by leaps and bounds.

          The extent to which the Russians interfered in the US election, with nothing to do with Trump, is the subject of Hail Mary indictments by Mueller (or Rosenstein demonstrating no special prosecutor was required).

          So Trump and these Russians can be convicted without trial eh? Meanwhile legions of DeMarxist miscreants are hiding behind the presumption of innocence, national security and ongoing investigations.

          So a minor irritant in Russo American relationships, interference in US elections, nothing new and, as stated above, deemed inconsequential by Obama himself, suddenly are grounds for declaring war against Russia?

          These are their grounds for impeachment or removal of Trump? Except before Trump was POTUS.

        4. Well, I happen to think that those “intelligence” agencies are not to be trusted. I also think it would have been inappropriate to attack Putin publicly in this context. A very big problem with the “Russian interference” line is that Meuller, etc. have never made it clear how exactly the Russians might have actually changed the result. Did they spy? Yes . . . and that has probably been going on for years. You address that NOT by confronting Putin, especially since Putin knows very well that the US does exactly the same thing. You address that by beefing up your security — if the main complaint is about Russian “hackers”. Hillary and the Democrats were outrageously careless with computer security. I am sure Mr. Awan was handing over information to the Pakistanisis. Undoubtedly there were dozens of countries doing there bit of meddling, but I doubt that any of it had an impact on actual results — unless there was actual ballot box tampering. So the efforts at this point should also be aimed at securing voting processes. The US is spending huge amounts of money to keep the Mueller team afloat. If there are concerns about Russian interference, there are much better ways to spend that.

        7. Did you see any evidence of Russian involvement? Where’s the server?
          And did you see any evidence of bias on part of the FBI (leaks to the press, Strzok, …)? Did you think it’s a coincidence the indictment of 12 Russian officers (for a case known since months) happened 3 days before the meeting with Putin (immediately followed by Dems’ declaration that Trump must attack Putin)?
          Evidently Trump is not stupid and understand very well the political maneuvering. Dems want from Trump a public clash with Putin, in order to validate their status of victims of a “tainted election”.
          If you read all of Trump’s declaration – not only the single sentence the press wants you to know – you see that there is the proposal of a joint investigation: in other words, Putin is open to have an investigation on the Russian officers, lead by Mueller. At the same time, Trump is asking for evidence about the server: is that so offensive and anti-American?
          Wouldn’t the picture be more complete in that case?

      2. It is true that both GWB and Obama tried to intervene in a very heavy-handed way in the Ukrainian election to put a man in place who they knew would be hostile Russian interests- making the US overtly hostile to Russia. That is ultimately why the Russians intervened in Ukraine themselves.

        It does seem ludicrous that both of those administrations thought they could somehow bring about a less repressive Russian government that was not headed by Putin through their meddling in Ukrainian affairs and other measures they took, starting with Clinton favoring Yeltsin who was totally corrupt and allowed the oligarchs to strip extremely valuable assets.

        That was really the point of Trump’s comments he certainly didn’t say that Putin was a great humanitarian or anything else like it. He made clear his position on Putin when he said that Germany made it self a captive of Russia by depending on it for natural gas, and by Trump’s use of US forces to oppose Russia’s efforts in Syria.

        As far as Trumps comments on the servers that were at the center of the alleged Russian hacking of the DNC, He makes a very very important point: Why didn’t attorney general Lynch or FBI director James Comey make any effort whatsoever to get the DNC servers that were at the center of the alleged hacking when they were in office? Answer: They would have shown it was the Democrats who are up to their neck colluding with the Russians. It was they, who approached Christopher Steele to use his contacts in Russia to fabricate the dossier they were sure would be swallowed whole by the media to destroy Trump.

        Funny wasn’t it that Peter Strzok dropped his investigation of Clinton’s emails to go full steam ahead with an investigation of Trump?

        They can’t afford to let the American people start wondering about these questions as well and that’s why you saw the outlandish and incredible statements by John Brennan – the so-called CIA director – under Obama saying that Trump’s statements were treasonous. No they weren’t; just damaging to the DNC’s big con, and their efforts to cover up the Obama administration’s malfeasance in office.
