We don’t know who sent them, but it was clearly deliberate. Another point worth noting is that Obama had a catch and release policy which did not detain illegal immigrants. The upshot was a massive increase in border crossers which they are now trying to deal with.
I also understand that Mexico is party to the safe country arrangement. That indicates that refugees coming from Central America technically should be making their refugee claims there. This is a big problem. I don’t know if any one has the solution. It is interesting though that only under Trump is the media deciding to pay attention.

I was an infant when my mother and I arrived in Canada. Even at 9 months, I was required to have a disembarkation card, which I still have. That’s proof that I properly came to this country.

As soon as the kid was firmly placed in line, the rest of the family group came laughing and jabbering to join him in line ahead of me.
That is exactly the same tactic as having an unaccompanied child cross the border and getting placed in a shelter, then the rest of the family claim the right to be with him so that the family is not separated. Does anyone remember when there were thousands of unaccompanied minors streaming across the US border under the Obama regime? Funny there was little publicity about that. We don’t know who sent them, but it was clearly deliberate. Another point worth noting is that Obama had a catch and release policy which did not detain illegal immigrants. The upshot was a massive increase in border crossers which they are now trying to deal with.
I also understand that Mexico is party to the safe country arrangement. That indicates that refugees coming from Central America technically should be making their refugee claims there. This is a big problem. I don’t know if any one has the solution. It is interesting though that only under Trump is the media deciding to pay attention.

Lo and behold, the child wedged himself right in front of me. I told him to get lost, but the rest of my family thought I was too nasty to just a kid. As soon as the kid was firmly placed in line, the rest of the family group came laughing and jabbering to join him in line ahead of me.
That is exactly the same tactic as having an unaccompanied child cross the border and getting placed in a shelter, then the rest of the family claim the right to be with him so that the family is not separated. The people who do such things are shameless and should not be allowed to succeed. The only right counter strategy is to deport the kid back across the border.
