  2. Lousy interpretation by the so-called artist. Often the sketch by a police artists looks about as much like the perpetrator’s photo when arrested,as Madonna looks like Donald Trump.

    With today’s technology, and no great blast of light from a flash bulb, which I realize would disrupt the dignity of the Court, why can’t they just allow the Press to take photo of the guy, maybe have just one photographer in the Court room.

  7. My original assumption was that it was a bald policeman by the car. I am disturbed that no information is forthcoming. Has anyone bothered to ask him why he did it? Much is being made of the fact that only 1% of Armenians are Muslims, but there is that one percent. I also think the date around the Armenian genocide is not coincidental. I don’t buy the incel explanation. It is not good to speculate, but we would not be speculating if they released some concrete information. I strongly suspect that they will hide any evidence of a terrorist attack.

The incel story is simply a narrative that has been put forward — the only one really, with no explanation or comment from the police. Did no one ask the perp about his motives? Why would that be so hard to do? The fact that they say nothing speaks volumes. The authorities will allow the incel version to stand if they think it makes a convenient cover for something else. They could also confirm the incel motivation, but they have not done so. Why not?

    1. Good analysis. I had noted that on a recent Steve Paikin panel discussing incel, the commenters were careful not to conclude this attack was motivated by incel involvement. Incel is its own problem. That is just pure speculation, and the authorities seem happy to leave it out there. A recent Muslim convert makes more sense, and the anniversary of the Armenian genocide would make a particularly poignant anti-Christian statement. Question is, if they are covering up a terrorist attack will they be able to keep it quiet indefinitely?

I would prefer that the authorities indicate if some theories (e.g. Muslim terror attack) are wrong. They have not done so.

    The fact that the Trudeau government silences the police and the media on these events is very troubling.

    So yes, when you observe a terroist attack, you assume it is perpetrated by a terrorist if they won’t reveal facts to the contrary.

Quite a few years ago there was a guy who killed several female students at a Quebec university, the media went to great lengths to publicize the perps name as Marc Lepine just some guy with a grudge against women. It wasn t till much later that his real identity was disclosed by someone who refused to drink the kool aid. He was actually a muslim but every year on the anniversary of this horrendous event the media still reminises about the brutal attack by Marc Lepine. If this Toronto attack had happened in the USA we would know a lot more about this Armenian than the pablum we are being fed or more accurately not allowed to know here in Canukistan.

      Possibly things are a lot more strained in the Demented Dominion than we imagine? Here’s two notions of a speculative nature:

      Politically Correct dream ticket Kathleen Wynn, the holy grail of SJW fantasies being both gay and a female, is going to lose to fat guy Doug Ford. Nationally, Shiny Pony ain’t so shiny anymore, I believe at this moment he would lose to a yellow dog running on the Conservative side. Given the Harper experience, if a Trumpian candidate won in Ontario and another one in Ottawa, they could potentially go through the two biggest governments in Canada with fire and a sword. That would be the end of the world for a whole class of Canadians who live off the avails of taxpayer money. They’d lie, cheat, steal, and maybe kill to keep that from happening.

      Or, possibly there’s a lot more racial strain going on in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver than is being reported. Given sheer numbers of Certain Group members in those three cities, it could be that the Great Powers are trying to avoid a mass insurrection with burning and killing. It could be that they think one tiny incident could set something like that off.

      Either way, we wouldn’t know. Because they’re making sure nobody says anything where we can hear. Anybody hear the name “Bronfman” on the news lately? Yeah, me neither.

      Oh, and for the record, Certain Group clearly refers to the Amish. Those maniacs.

      1. The great irony is that in trying to protect certain groups from criticism, they are fostering hostility and suspicion. Even when terrorist attacks occur that are linked to ISIS, no one blames Muslims generally. Most people are tolerant and do not see most Muslims as a threat. Most Muslims are not extremists, but there are extremists in their midst. Hiding problems coming from that community however, will cause people to be less tolerant, and that appears to be what the government is doing in simply withholding information about the recent Toronto attack. They do not have to reveal everything (and of course they cannot), however, they need to reassure people that this was not a terror attack or otherwise indicate that this is an angle they are investigating. Instead, we get no communication.

  30. So the CBC is doing a fine job of covering the vigils in Toronto — choirs, candles, many people expressing heartfelt grief. Even Trudeau in attendance. I would appreciate it if the CBC took time to investigate what the he*l happened here. The focus now is a public mourning event, while the actual crime is not being investigated by the media. Not a single mention of what is happening with the police investigation. Why is that?
