Police say the woman, who isn’t a student at Queen’s, stood on one of the building’s window ledges during the protest and started to bang on the window, causing it to break and cutting her hand.
They say she fled the scene but was stopped nearby by plain-clothes officers, who had to bring in extra officers when the woman became violent during her arrest.
Police add that the woman also tried to kick out the cruiser’s window while she was being transported to police headquarters.
Officials say officers searched her backpack and found a weapon — a metal wire with handles commonly known as a garrotte.

I remember that either in the fall of 69 or spring of 70 listening to Black Panthers speaking at the U of C. Their message was nothing more than Marxist Leninist bilge, but being charismatic speakers, they stirred up the student audience into a semi-hysterical frenzy. There was a “Speakers Corner” outside the venue where a crazy brave friend of mine was attempting to rebut their message immediately after the event and he was assaulted by one of the screaming individuals opposed to free speech. I ended up in Court as a witness for the victim where the perp pled guilty and when ordered to pay a small fine, he pulled out a thousand dollar bill and ceremoniously waved it under the nose of the Judge, asking him where he was to pay. It was later learned that the individual was not a student but a communist agitator with no visible means of support who worked both the U of C and U of A campuses. A few weeks after the event, those same Black Panthers who had spoken at U of C were killed in a shoot-out with the FBI in Chicago. I suppose the only thing that has changed in all these years is that the Arts faculties are now run by those easily influenced students impressed by the Marxist message while their drone students continue with the hysteria.

I believe I asked, just yesterday, WHY these protestors were ALLOWED (by the constabulary) to pound on the doors and windows of the building. How is any part of that non-violent? This MOB should have been cleared by the police forthwith. There should be a buffer zone between these VIOLENT protestors and their TARGET. This is standard practice at Abortion clinics … right? Imagine if Abortion protestors were banging on the windows, SCREAMING, and setting off air horns at Planned Parenthood Abortion mills? It would NEVER happen. So WHY is such behaviour allowed when directed against, logical, rational, peaceful, speakers such as Jordan Peterson.

What must be really galling to these “progressives” is that Jordan Peterson didn’t just meekly resign his tenure and fade away into oblivion but instead has sailed on to overwhelming success and recognition. And even worse for them, their own boneheaded actions made it in large part possible. The irony is hilarious.

Peterson stood up. There are a lot of people who think like he does but they won’t or can’t stand up. Even if they disagree with him on some things they respect him. There are many rather ordinary things that are “illegal” to possess, depending on the circumstances of possession and the attitude/opinion of the arresting officer. There is a broad category of things that can be called “burglar tools”, for example. Another is just what can be categorized as “drug paraphernalia”.

Unglued is right. What I find both odd and fascinating is how they construct their arguments to defend childish and destructive, occasionally violent, protests. Things like: words and ideas that make us uncomfortable are violent, actual violence and vandalism by protesters is justified because of those opinions and ideas we disagree with, your opposing opinion somehow magically invalidates an identity group’s humanity and right to exist, our right to protest like spolied children is as valid as your right to talk and the audience’s right to hear, etc.
I get that the education system from k-12 and beyond rewards conformity and regurgitation of the teacher’s political opinions but have these students never encountered anyone who simply laughs at their ridiculous opinions or refuses to bow to their tantrums. It’s like they’ve never talked to anyone in the outside world.
