    His exaggeration/dishonesty seems to be a persistent character flaw.

  3. I saw this woman answering questions in the The House last week and didn’t know who she was. But being a Liberal woman I should have known she was in Cabinet. Jr may get in trouble with the Nobel people as Michael Mann did. Claiming individual prize for a group effort is frowned on.
    Anyway it occurred to me that Jr is not enjoying a great month. When one has to drag out Sophie to run interference he is in rather deep trouble. Wonder if Butts has instructed him just to shut up for a few days?

    Why does the media take this man in any way seriously anymore? Why? I just don’t understand it.
    I get that the media feels it is their sacred duty to assist anyone but the Conservatives leading up to next year’s election, but at what point does Trudeau’s stupidity have to be so self-evident that even the media accepts that they would look foolish supporting him?
    The man is a joke. A complete and utter joke. He is not to be taken seriously at this point.

    The Liberals should thank Trudeau for saving the party from extinction, his family name brought them back from the brink, but if they want to replace him before the next election then they’re running out of time.

  13. My son’s school in Ontario offers a Grade 12 elective course called “Law College Prep” but it is not, by any stretch of the imagination, pre-law. Even for a Lieberal Trudeau’s bullshit is excessive. There’s always a microscopic grain of truth in what he says, but it gets completely twisted out of proportion. It gives his supporters a way to justify his stupidity.

  18. Yes, but I suspect the conservative party will have bozo eruptions too. The usual suspects will start yapping about women, aboriginals and immigrants. Will Scheer have the same control over his people as Harper? It’s a real concern.
    Steve E. – it’s a weird thing to exaggerate. It’s like he’s desperately trying to impress someone. He’s already won a national election and is the Prime Minister, why bother lying about things where the truth is easily discovered.

  19. Throughout my adult life, I’ve met such crap artists. Some of them were colleagues, a few were bosses, and I also have the disgrace of being related to one of them.
    They tell such tall tales about themselves and their supposed accomplishments that they could put Baron Munchausen to shame.
    I suspect that these people suffer from a severe inferiority complex. They see themselves as failures, a status often well-earned, and they invent these whoppers in order to make themselves feel respectable. Why earn, say, a Ph. D., when you can have a comfortable life resulting from fooling people into believing you actually have one? (I know of one such case and it didn’t end well for the person in question.)
    Currently, we have a prime minister who never accomplished much of consequence. He didn’t appear to have finished anything that he started and couldn’t make up his mind what he really wanted to so aside from being a professional layabout. And why should he have done anything when he had a nice payout waiting for him later in his life?

  21. I am not psychiatrist enough to offer a diagnosis but I have been around long enough to recognize mental illness/breakdown. For his own good and that of Canada I do hope that Justin gets help for his condition.

  23. Everyone has moments they aren’t proud of. I doubt anyone is perfectly honest. In fact, some of my favorite people are world class bullshitters — funny guys. It’s that Trudeau seems to do it habitually and for no particular reason.

  24. Your link piqued my curiosity and I looked up the original speech. I could not believe what I watched and heard of the ponce as he outdid Obama in narcissism. The lies and mistruths were truly astounding and the rambling oratory was worthy of a Nobel Prize for unmitigated BS. How this moron was able to fool people into voting for him is truly beyond believability. All Liberal voters that voted for him in the last election should be forced to watch this just to see the damage that they have inflicted not only on Canada but on our whole Western Society. I truly shudder when I think that he represents Canada on the world stage. We are a universal laughing stock.

    I served in Cyprus with 3PPCLI in 1988, the same year the ‘THE UN PEACEKEEPER’ was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Ergo, I too am a Nobel Laureate.
    Gawd….at least more so than Duncan, Mann, et al.

  30. My high school offered a class titled “Business Law”. which was really valuable for learning and understanding things like; basic contracts, property law, the functions of our courts and the most important single term in our capitalist economic system … ‘caveat emptor’.
    I learned so many of life’s essentials in that class … but have never described myself as “Pre-Law” on any job application or biography … ever. You would have to be a malignant psychopathic narcissist to say such a thing.

  32. We saw that a few days ago. While in India, he did “Indiany” things. Now that he spent time with “scientist” Bill “Save the World” Nye, he got all “sciency”.
    A chameleon at least has the good sense to blend in with its surroundings without drawing undue attention. PM Teletubby tries to blend in so that he becomes the star of the show.

  33. I still cannot get the image of an aged Bill Nye throwing excited DOUBLE thumbs up at the conclusion of each sentence uttered by PM Sockeye. Literally jumping up in his chair with a big grin and thrusting his thumbs up into the air … thrusting his thumbs up into every -word- spoken by his buddy. Creepy at best. Really, really demented at worst. I’m going with worst.
    BTW … if baby PM is a scientist, then I am PM of Canada. And trust me … I could perform much better in my make-believe profession than PM Sockeye is doing in his make-believe profession.
