Always interesting to read the follow ups on these incredible crimes and how many times the offender was contacted by various authorities yet nothing was done. To make you really mad read about the sex slaving in Rotherham and other UK cities and though every police station, chief constable, home secretary like Therese May now the PM NOTHING was ever done to save these young women from the muslim beasts.

  10. I have another working theory as to why Mr. Cruz was never interdicted. His surname. Political Correctness caused the FBI to shrug off any clues forwarded about a “Hispanic sounding” surname. Nobody wanted to touch the newly electrified third rail of “hassling” a Hispanic. It’s no different from the official indifference toward a crazed, Muslim named Major Hassan … allowing him to murder his fellow soldiers with impunity. Just another bit of “workplace violence”.

The government, although supposedly elected to protect you, cannot. The example here, between four duly appointed LEOs of Broward County that failed to act and the shooting in Sutherland Springs where a private citizen acted on his own initiative, is testament to the fallacy of the government’s ability to protect it’s citizens. The more power we cede to government rule the less power we will be allowed privately. That is a recipe for disaster. We may have thought that it was going to be a long time coming but we’ve already been on this road for the last forty or fifty years and now the end is on the horizon. Governments that don’t give a Tinker’s Curse about the societies that birthed them are running full tilt towards an apocalypse, and we are being swept along in the aftermath because we’ve allowed ourselves to be brainwashed by greedy, grasping, avarice fools, on the pretext that they know better and will ‘protect us’. Nothing could be further from the truth.

  20. Or following a policy which has been abandoned by many police departments, perhaps the majority. The old way – establish cordon, wait for specialists – is discredited, best chance to minimize the number of victims is now believed to be to move in aggressively and engage in the fight, to at least disrupt the attack and hopefully contain the attacker for the special teams, or even be lucky and good enough to capture or kill before they get there.
    But when you are alone it can be hard to decide to go forward to look for someone who is already killing anyone they encounter, and when one or more colleagues are with you reinforcing your fear with theirs it may be terribly tempting to think there is nothing you can do.
    To get a higher rate of the desired response is going to take a lot of time and effort (and that will cost money that is currently being spent on something else) to train and practice the main body of police on patrol. Generally they are trained to defend themselves against direct attacks, with a great emphasis on recognizing when they are or are not justified in law to use lethal force.
    These situations require something more. It’s different mindset to quickly assess the situation and recognize you are not just allowed to use lethal force, your task has just become: Find some a-hole and kill him.

  22. The reason we see so many cases where the cops enter the wrong house,act like an invading army,and kill or beat the hell out of innocent people, is suppressed fear,which quickly turns into rage when they have to chance to let it out.
    I don’t believe police departments attract people who are any more courageous than anyone else, and so many I’ve spoken to mention the decent pay,benefits,and pension as the reason they went into police work, not any great zeal to make the world a better place.
    The four heroes in Vancouver who tasered a middle aged Polish immigrant to death instead of throwing him to the ground and handcuffing him as any minimum wage security guard would have done, are made from the same stuff, sawdust mixed with a bit of chicken manure.
    The Broward Country Sheriff should be fired immediately, as should the four cops who failed to enter the school. If our soldiers in WW2 had had the same mentality as those Broward County cops,we’d have never gotten out of the landing crafts,and Europe might still be under the Nazis,who were allegedly worse than the bunch taking that continent over today.

    I posed a hypothetical to the wife last night. She? A 61yo 1st grade teacher in an “urban” school (read: Not a single white student). She? About as small, sweet, and non-violent, pacifist, as you can imagine. She? Never seen, touched, or handled a gun in her life. We don’t currently own a firearm. We don’t lock our doors either … here in lillywhite suburbia.
    So I asked her a hypothetical … that a gunman (yes, man) was barging into her classroom to shoot all of her 26 students. Would she try to stop him and/or shield her kids from harm, stand between them and the shooter? She said … absolutely! So you are willing to give up your own life to save your little “urban” rugrats? Yes. Definitively yes! Because, as MY President said yesterday … Teachers LOVE their students. Cowardly Browardly Sheriff Deputies don’t.
    So then, I asked the hypothetical … that the gunman was barging into her classroom … and there was a handgun available for her use. Maybe strapped under your dress. Would she use it? Would she try to STOP the shooter before he could harm her kids? Even IF she had never shot that gun, even once? Even if she had to use a weapon, a tool, that she had never before touched or even liked? To save her kids? Answer: Absolutely, positively, YES!
    Then I asked her which scenario she preferred? To DIE as a victim who may have saved ONE or TWO of her 26 children while dying hersel? Or, to have access to a gun which STOPPED the shooter … even if she herself was shot in the exchange? No doubt, no hesitation … “give me the gun”! she said. Give me a chance to LIVE while SAVING my children! Because as MY President correctly, and accurately, stated … Teachers LOVE their children. It’s WHY most choose to teach … because they love kids, and love giving them a fair shot at a good life (to quote a former president).
    Every teacher (who is interested) should be trained and given a firearm. And my STRONG preference is to make any gun at any school to be fingerprint activated. That NO child could ever shoot one of these guns if it fell into their hands.

My sweet little wife is as tame and docile as you can get … but she is NOT suicidal … and she will be just as TOUGH handling a lightweight little glock as she was when pushing our three children down the birth canal.   33. Based on my experience, the school secretaries and the lunch lady would be the ideal candidates to bear arms but never for bare arms. While incidence of discharge would likely become commonplace, I would guarantee fear to act would be voided from consideration.

  40. Well Einstein, there were two teachers killed in the shooting…..they were killed using their bodies to shield students. They were unarmed. I wonder how things would have turned out if one of those teachers had a gun. This was an absolute failure by the FBI and police in the area. And to have the “Sheriff” blame the NRA for it is like Edward Smith, the captain of the Titanic, blaming the iceberg.

  45. It gets worse… the 4 cops who stood by and did nothing while kids were being brutally murdered were ordered to stand down unless they had a certain piece of equipment. They didn’t have that certain piece of equipment, so they stood there while kids were being gunned down.
    What was that piece of equipment? Guns? No. Bulletproof vests? No. Body armor? No.
    Body cameras.
    Kids died because the police department wanted to cover their arses from future litigation, so they ordered the police to stand around and let those people die. They’d rather let kids die than face the threat of future litigation.
    This is the world the libtards are creating… is it what you wanted, libtards? Own your insanity, you idiots.
