  4. The Dems came across as bitter and sullen to say the least. They simply looked beaten, and now Kennedy’s spittle-laden ‘official response’ is getting them tons of attention…. for exactly ALL the wrong reasons.
    CNN was so caught off guard by Trump’s performance that their assembled talking heads struggled to establish any real criticisms of it for the first few minutes. Of course, that didn’t sit well with the hate-mongering Van Jones who finally jumped in in an effort to ramp up the emotion of the panel and inspire their anti-Trump rhetoric. That was all I needed to see and checked out right then.
    I understand that some of my fellow conservatives dislike Trump, he has a polarizing personality. But how any true conservative could denounce his performance in SINGLE-HANDEDLY taking on the organized and destructive forces of international globalization and winning…. well you can only be a friggin’ RINO/CINO. For that matter, I am almost as happy there is no Rubio or Cruz in the WH as I am there is no Clinton. MAGA

    The way he wove real people into the themes and narratives was spectacular. Another realist President; finally.
    Of course the Dems sulked during this fine speech, even that 12 year old and his 40K grave markers couldn’t get DeMarxist butts off seats.
    The public seems to agree on Trump’s strong messaging:

    ACLU complains that President Trump mentions the word “American” more than 80 times. I guess that’s a problem?

    42% approval from declared Democrats for President Trump’s SOTU speech. That’s a big problem for the Democrats.
    How do you malign a President of the opposing party that’s drawn that high a percentage of your own? Do you campaign against the President, and 42% of your own? Or do you continue to drive your bus into the ditch?

The only one who can beat Trump … is Trump (I believe Rush Limbaugh made the same observation). The official reciting the oath swears an allegiance to uphold the Constitution. The Constitution only specifies an oath of office for the President.

When my Father-in-Law suffered a debilitating stroke, my criminal brother in law … for unscrupulous reasons … searched the Internet and found a Quack-clinic in FL that promised to “reverse” strokes. Their methodology? Blood thinners. Coumadin … as ubiquitous a drug as exists. But Dr. Hammasfahr had a “special” procedure for CURING strokes. For lots, and lots, of $$$$. It seems that the State of FL takes in massive tax dollars by providing a haven for Medical Fraudsters. I seem to recall that the overwhelming majority of Medicare FRAUD originates in FL. So my mother in law spent $ hundreds of thousands of dollars in FL … for nothing. Not a bit of improvement. What did my larcenous brother in law get out of this? That is a much, much, longer story
    I was fortunate to have taken my own brother to the Stanford Medical center where he received first; the state of the art protocol treatment for his type of cancer. When the initial improvements faded, his (simply incredible) Oncologist put my brother on a new experimental treatment protocol. And even though it didn’t work in the end, I was assured that my brothers death provided valuable data and experience in the treatment of his particular lymph cancer. All under the care of LEGITIMATE Physicians.

    I have watched SOTU addresses for a number of decades…Aside from Reagans in I think it was 81, this was still the absolute best of the bunch. He was strong, clear headed, and put forth a conciliatory move…acknowledged that he would do what the PEOPLE voted for and wanted him to do…..and what did I see..?
    A bunch of FAT Useless cows checking their freaking facebook and twitter feeds…?? I was floored. Such unbelievable arrogance and total DISRESPECT…Un F’n Real.!! Swamp alright…disgusting P’cs of Shit the lot of them.
