Hospitals switching off lights, “Code Yellow Alert”.
UPDATE: MELBOURNE hospitals are enacting emergency procedures to prepare for the potential loss of power. Hospitals are switching off non-essential electrical equipment, including some lights, to minimize energy use. This is a “Code Yellow” alert asking hospitals to check their back up generators are ready. The Victorian Minister insists this is not about the “threat” of blackouts, but because hospitals need to be “good corporate citizens”. Pull the other one. At the very least, this is about reducing electricity bills. h/t Chris in Harvey Bay.

How much fun can you have? The AEMO (Australian Energy Market Operator) projects that as temperatures hit 42C in Victoria, prices are forecast to rise over 100 fold. The AEMO is furiously busy issuing market notices.”

  3. I hope she runs again. It would be good to see her lead the party to defeat. And if they haven’t learned, it will be good to see the electorate suffer another term.

  4. The word “inclusion” is clearly a dog whistle. Anyone who uses it, cares more about schutzstaffel justice than making cars, winning games, whatever business they profess to be in. So, do they still deserve your business?stephensstop

  5. Just wondering why every time they put forward something to further restrict firearms they always picture strongly restricted ( possibly illegal ) firearms . Of course possibly there is a lot of them around as laws don’t seem to apply equally to everyone aka Justin’s vacation , irregular immigrants and possibly amnesty weed charges.

    “The Cloud Mystery”
“Our clouds take their orders from the stars,” says the Danish scientist Henrik Svensmark. That’s the amazing and provocative discovery reported here. Most experts thought the idea was crazy.”
“The film records ten years of effort by the small team in Copenhagen that, in the end, solved the mystery of how the Galaxy and the Sun interfere in our everyday weather.”
“Linking all the discoveries is the non-stop rain of cosmic rays – energetic particles from exploded stars that battle with the Sun’s magnetic field to reach the Earth.
Central in the story is an experiment in a Copenhagen basement. It showed how cosmic rays help to make chemical specks in the air on which water drops condense to make clouds.
The story concludes that clouds are the main driver of climate change on Earth.
The documentary follows Henrik Svensmark in his struggle to find the physical evidence of a celestial climate driver. The film demonstrates that science can be a rough place to be if you are in opposition to the established “truth”.”
