  13. I hate to say it but I still have doubts about the choice for Conservative leader. He’s not looking like one who can draw attention,spark things up against he Shiny one. Maybe that’s a good thing for some voters but it will not grab the attention of the element that helped put Trudeau into Office.

    Got a email from our ex-PM yesterday asking for money, surprise! Much I liked about Harper but his rep for exceeds his accomplishments. Many conservatives like me are truly disappointed in the squandered opportunity of the Harper majority. Virtually no effort to establish a process for disseminating conservative fiscal philosophy. Actually little to no effort to defend the philosophical body politic of conservatism. All the Harper Tories could do was shut down the Riding Associations role in defending and promoting policy.
    Financial literacy, not promoted by the CPC, and now exploited by the Liebels/progressives in Canada. There are many within the CPC who are no better than the Liebels and Dippers. My sending money to the CPC is wasted money IMHO. The only change that will come to Canada will be as a result of a major economic disruption. Even then it might not mean a reassertion of fiscal prudence. It could easily mean a continuation of the government’s growing share of the national economy. Yes, more Venezuela.

  17. The town hall was held at McMaster University which would explain the young audience. Most in the hall were probably getting class credit from their gender studies professor for attending.
    You can tell the planted questions because Sock Boy will begin his response by saying “That’s a great question” and then go into his spiel for which he has memorized his talking points.

The parent company of Timmies is saying “not our problem” and will not reduce supply costs, raise prices, or reduce couponing. Many customers are now boycotting these mean people who are trying to make a profit in a low margin business – that will really help the bottom line.

  19. Watch out ,he was a bouncer for 6 months. Obviously paying Omar was the right thing to do. I am however, slightly confused . I know when I do the right thing I do not have to attempt to hide it from people. I do not have to investigate to determine who leaked the fact I did the right thing. And I do not have to do the right thing in such a manner as to protect the person I have I have done the right thing for from any consequence. One thing I have learned in life though , is you can be right for the moment, but it doesn’t mean you will always be right. I am referring to the Boyle incident and the happenstance that there is a connection to Omar . I would also say there is better than a fair chance we have not heard the last of Omar and his family and their activities.

  20. I think it is too soon to dismiss Scheer, but I too am beginning to have regrets. At this point I think we do not need an even-tempered congenial leader. We need a pit bull — someone to grab attention, make noise and go after the shallow pretty boy. Bernier was better suited to that role. Someone needs to wake-up Canadians who are being lead down the garden path into globalism by their Liberal masters. The agenda here is not is what is best for Canada — it is to toe the globalist line. That the media fails to notice the problem is depressing.

  21. The Liberals seem to have made an error by including the “pro-abortion” clause in their applications for student grants. Yesterday in the news, some bureaucrat was emphatic that you would not be considered if you did not check the box agreeing that you are not anti-abortion. Churches have balked. Trudeau tried to weasel out of this in his town hall by claiming it is just for activists. That is not what the form says, and they will have to change the wording if what he states is accurate. I think they will try to hide the discrimination and violation of Canadian rights. As usual, Liberal duplicity.

    parsing out regional autonomy on issues that need it doesnt happen with hard core conservatives and control freaks like harper.
    THAT explains why conservatives have always had an uphill battle in canuckistan, even in times of big majoroty govts, they default to traditional central control methods.
